I had had cupping done before so I knew what to expect, and I have to say that Rita is really really good. She's very personable and has an inspiring story about why she wants to elevate cupping as a healing strategy to more people. She listened to what I was telling her and was able to treat the areas where I was having pain. For a week or two before, I had felt like my whole back was really stiff. I was also getting these headaches almost every other day. She did guasha and cupping on me, and I feel so much better. So much that I'm seriously considering doing cupping on a regular basis. Don't believe the hype. I was in Seattle and had a terrible knot in my neck from my flight in. I was desperate to find somewhere and this was the only place with availability. I got there and the woman on the phone loud talked me explaining the price several times. Not sure if that was because of my skin color or if she had issues with pricing with other folks. She has me fill out an intake form where I highlighted my shoulder pain. My appt was for a hour massage and 30 minute cupping. I have had many many different types of massages. I have experienced cupping as well. The first flag is that this place does not have individual rooms. Its wide open with curtains separating the room. The person next to me was having a straight up conversation like he was in a restaurant the entire time I was there. The woman started working on me and the pressure was good but there was no special attention paid to my shoulders in the slightest. When she went to work on my legs I asked her to please do more work on my neck. She went back to my shoulders and very half heartedly continued to rub it with no special attention paid to the gigantic knot in my shoulder. After 5 more minutes of this I asked her if she could just skipped to the cupping. She started cupping my buttocks. What the heck?! I said to her I'm very confused as to why you are cupping my butt when the pain is in my shoulder. She finally went and got the other woman who I am assuming was the manager and she came in and started quickly and roughly cupping me the entire time bickering at me I'm guessing because I could only catch certain words in what she was saying. She kept saying something like when you come back be clearer or less confused or something. I'm not sure but whatever she was saying sounded like to me I was being blamed for my poor experience. After she said this a few times I finally said, "Ma'am I won't be coming back here. I am not happy with this experience." and she said "if you are not happy I won't charge you and you can leave." As I got dressed she continued to bicker at me and when I got downstairs she tossed my shoes at me and as I continued to put my shoes on she just kept talking and talking. At one point it sounded like she asked me maybe what i didn't like but she didn't stop talking so maybe she didn't? I finally just walked out and she continued to bicker until she slammed the door behind me. Like I said - Extremely confused. mediocre massage, sad cupping, terrible customer service, pitiful ambience. I will not be returning and would never recommend this place to anyone in a million years. read more

Rita and her team were ah-mazing!! I was in Washington with my daughter for medical treatment as we both suffer from Lyme disease and a myriad of co-infections. It was a weekend and our clinic was closed and because I don't detox well and have motility issues I was looking for a colonic. I reached out to several businesses and Rita got back to me - it turned out she doesn't offer colonics but she has the most incredible gua-sha cupping machine. I've had cupping several times in the past and I also have my own Gua Sha tool that I had actually brought with me, but this was an electric machine with a ton of different sized glass cups. When I've been cupped in the past the cups just sit on your back for a good 30 minutes and it hurt and I'm left looking like a battered wife, While there was a little bit of bruising because it's an electric machine, you're actually massaged with the cups so they're never held in one place unless she's working on your breasts or butt - it's all very discreet and because all my detox pathways are blocked (I don't sweat and have calcified lymph nodes due to Bartonella, this was an amazing treatment to help me detox. The price was only $79 for an hour but she gave me an extra hour for free as I was so excited about it. Amazing! I practically had a frozen shoulder and back in August went for several treatments which really did a great job nearly getting rid of it, then I flaked and didn't go in for another treatment or two as scheduled to finish the job. A few months later the problem came back, not as bad, so I went in again for more treatments. Again, it has practically eliminated the problem - this time I'm sticking it out for a few more treatments until it's gone!
