I have always loved this place. Today was the first day that I found it very disappointing. First of all, there was a roach crawling on the door by the kitchen. From my experiences, whenever there are roaches on the outside of the kitchen, that means that the infestation of roaches in the kitchen is very bad. I told the lady I saw the roach, she didn't look surprised, and simply shrugged and said "Sorry".The food was not fresh, and, actually upset my stomach. Just a bad experience, and so disappointing. I love my Red Curry. It's right in my neighborhood within walking distance. I order pickup and dine in several times in 2021 and the food has been consistent. My goto dish is definitely curry puffs for appetizer and crab fried rice. I appreciate they use real crabmeat in the fried rice because I don't like imitation crab meat, the texture is so weird. Curry puffs are my favorite appetizer and it's one of the mild dish I enjoyed. The owners are Thai so if you asked for Thai spicy, you need to be prepared for sweat and tears. My tears came out when I bite into level 5 papaya salad and flat noodles. I love spicy food, but I would adjust to level 3 when I want to taste the fresh ingredients like Thai basils and shrimps in my flat noodles. read more

Having lunch here and ordered Pad see Eew with chicken and Pad Thai with shrimp. The sliced chicken is moist and tender. The flat noodles are tender and deliciously tasty. The shrimp in Pad Thai is freshly sautéed. The noodles are soft and tasty. But the Pad Thai as a whole could taste excellent if they put more peanuts and make it a little bit sweeter. Serving is moderately large. Friendly owners and staff. Clean separate Men and Women's bathroom. Not busy during lunch, more on take out. Quiet ambience and nicely decorated restaurant. A small mom-pop restaurant a bland exterior in a small strip mall. Inside however, is a lovely setting. We ordered the pad kee mao and pad Thai. Both were really well-prepared. I told you I would return! This time I tried their green curry and was really pleased. It was creamier than what I expected and was pretty sweet but overall I really enjoyed it. I also ordered the tom yum soup with shrimp, which had the right amount of sourness that I crave. It didn't have as much vegetables as Sakhuu (my favorite Thai) but it held its own. It was pretty good, sweet and garlicy put i wish it would've been spicy. I asked for medium spice level thinking it would be a little spicy but next time I think I need to go with hot or extra hot. Every thai place seems to have different levels and this place has a very low level of spice so go higher. With the entree you get 1 spring roll which is served before your meal. I ordered the red curry in homage to the stores name. I was pleased by the affordable lunch special price of $7.99! That's a rarity among Thai restaurants. The curry had a good spice. Not as thick as some I've had but still good. I won't say the flavor wasn't good by any means but it's seemed the depth I hoped for was just out of reach to the last bite. My wife has ordered the Thai fried rice and yellow curry fried rice (both with tofu; excellent choices), my mother in law has visited us and ordered the coconut noodle soup which was very nice, and I have ordered (2-3 times in a row now) the Pad Glass Noodles with which I'll get vegetables and/or tofu. I've been eating here for more than 10 years and always enjoy the food. I typically order Pad Thai, and it's what you should expect from a good, no fuss Pad Thai. One of my other favs is Tom Kha Ga--always fresh and hits the tummy just right. You also can't go wrong with any of the entrees...the basil beef or chicken is just what you'd expect, it's savory and packs a serious basil punch! Do try the crunchy spring rolls, it's pairs perfectly with the sweet, sour and spicy sauce. The fresh rolls (shrimp/basil) with peanut sauce never disappoints. Oh and the prices are very reasonable. The place is small and cute. We were the only table here for lunch. The bf and I came late so I'm not sure what everyone else had. The bf had the Bangkok Smile Pork which is stir fried pork with carrots, onions, and green veggies. He wasn't impressed - he only ate it because he was hungry. I tried some myself and I thought it was just okay. Since its cold outside, I was in the mood for a noodle soup so I had a dish that was off the main menu. I'm not sure what its called but it had seafood and tofu in it. It was good with just the right amount of spiciness but it was a little salty. I had to add some water to dilute it a bit but it didn't do much. The bf's brother told me they have $5 dishes from 3-6 or so.. I'm not sure of the time. This included some of the soupy noodle dishes I was looking at. Stomach feeling iffy? Wonton soup. Have a cold? Wonton soup. Beautiful chicken stock base, some slices of white chicken, 5 'meatballs' wrapped in wonton wrappers, some bok choy and cilantro for greens. This is my family's go-to for food when someone is feeling off. It is always gentle on the digestion. We've taken to ordering extra and popping them in the freezer to unthaw when someone needs it.
