Great food and location. I Found Ka Thai at their other location and loved it. Noticing there was a location closer to my home,I thought I would give it a shot also. When I arrived it was a beautiful spring like day,and I noticed they had a patio looking out onto a greenbelt. So,we chose outside. Great new find in that the food inside atmosphere and outside patio are all top notch just like the other location. The service was one step up which is nice these days. They have a happy hour 3-6 with an abbreviated menu keeping cost down. Everything we had from hot sake to spring rolls to entrees was well prepared, fresh and delicious. I will definitely return.

My family stopped in for a family-style feast as last week's ice storm began wrapping up, and had a good experience. The interior looked very updated and welcoming. We tried many dishes including the beef salad, white seaweed salad, lamb curry, tom kha soup, sea bass, pad Thai, lamb curry and crab fried rice. Everything had a lot of flavor, and service was efficient. The pad Thai noodle texture was exactly how I like it, a bit chewy and full of sauce. Any critiques I have are very small, but were noticed to me. My tom kha soup was half mushrooms and very tomato-y to me, and I'm not sure how I feel about the crab being turned into a sort of paste on top of the fried rice. They were both still very tasty, though. The sea bass came with an entire bowl of sauce which felt like overkill, but not really a negative -- I actually brought it home to eat with a future meal. Overall I'd be happy to come back, and it was a solid atmosphere for any occasion. They were also accommodating of gluten allergies which I appreciated.

What a treat! Easily the best Thai food we've had while visiting our son in Dallas. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed with their warm and attentive service. We chose to dine al fresco and absolutely loved the inviting atmosphere, it added such a relaxing touch to the evening. The tom kha soup was outstanding, rich and perfectly balanced with that signature creamy, tangy flavor. I also enjoyed the chicken satay, which was tender, flavorful, and paired beautifully with its sauce. My husband ordered the chicken Massaman curry, and wow, it was hands down the best we've had anywhere. And we travel quite a bit, so that's saying something! Every detail, from the food to the ambiance, made this a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back.

    What are these portion? $16.50

I don't know what kind of underweight people eat here but their portions are for little kids charging adult prices. I ordered through Uber Eats and the miso cod was $16.50 for like two bites. It didn't even come with rice. The sticky rice was dried and also two bites. Beef had good portion. Idk why yall are so stingy

I heard Ka Thai is Nara Smith's favorite Thai restaurant in Dallas, so I've always wanted to give it a try. As there is a plethora of great Thai restaurants in DFW, it did not disappoint! Portions here are pretty big and the prices are pretty fair, which I really appreciated. I tried the Pad Thai, and it was good, but just could've used a little more flavor, and the protein was a bit overcooked. However, the Green Thai curry was amazing. That's definitely what I'd order again next time. The inside is really pretty and has a nice vibe, and the staff are super friendly. It's very much giving date night vibes. Parking isn't too bad, but the lot does fill up during peak hours, so just keep that in mind.

What a great Thai restaurant! I am proud to say I've tried at least half of the menu (and it's a big menu) and they never disappoint! My biggest recommendation would be to come at happy hour ( all day Sunday and til 6 on weekdays): the appetizer and drink prices are fantastic! The butterfly mimosa and mango limeade (served in a tiki glass) are great mocktails! The prices are great for the portion size as well! Our favorites are the Pad See Ewe, yellow curry, glass noodle salad, and Kao Soi. We love all of the staff here- they are so friendly and happy (even on Christmas!). The restaurant is so beautiful and has great windows to view the bustling Hillcrest Village! One suggestion would be if you have a smaller party to try not to sit facing the bamboo screen wall because it is pretty trippy and gives everyone in my family headaches. Please try it out- this is the perfect Thai restaurant for families, date nights, lunches, and every occasion! (W

Ambiance was well put together, welcoming the customer with warmth not only from the set up but the kind service as well. Food was brought out fairly quick in great portion. Flavorful and worth it. Highly recommend for Thai Food lovers!

I'll be honest, I first visited this place because I saw on TT that it was Nara's favorite restaurant in Dallas. The hype is def real. I love Thai food and have tried several in Dallas & this place by far takes the cake. I literally have no complaints. The service was great, our waiter was attentive & super helpful in assisting us in making a decision on what to eat/drink. Neither of us was very hungry so we ended up sharing one appetizer (Roti Canai) and one entree, "drunken noodle" Both were so good but the roti & curry was delish! i would go back there again just for that! Drinks were also really good, my husband ordered something spicy & I had the lychee mocktail. Both were chef kiss & I can't wait to go back again and try more things. Also the decor is really cute, it's chic and homey at the same time. Also a bit on the smaller side.

Awesome service. Friendly-sweet people. Reasonable prices. Lots of variety. Lots of delicious- spicy- robust flavors. Pad Thai, curries, great appetizers. Attentive staff- kind and caring. Clean restaurant. Great outdoor seating.

Short Hit: one of the better Thai restaurants in Dallas. Definitely worth trying. Flavor - 5 Service - 4 Value - 4 Ambiance - 5 Very happy to see Ka Thai have a North Dallas location (close to my work for me to get kunch). I've been going to Ka since their original location on McKinney Ave and their new location in Uptown, and the food here is just as good. There are many Thai places around, but thus one us fresh and has the correct flavor profile: nuanced layers of sweet and salty. Did family style and shared red curry, pad kee maw, and Thai basil fried rice, and each were exceptional. You can just tell they make their own curry paste and everything is fresh. Highly recommended for authentic Thai.

The restaurant is very nice and chic. Service is good. The food is Americanized Thai, which is good, just not my taste - Large portions. We ordered: Mi Krop Crispy - Crispy wontons tossed in sweet and sour Tamarind sauce, peanuts, and shrimp $10. It had ONE shrimp. And it had an awful smell of rotten eggs. One person from our party couldn't even out it in their mouth from the smell. Me and the other person shared, and it tasted fine, but we had such a hard time eating it from the smell! We weren't able to finish even half. Never experienced anything like it. Summer rolls: spring rolls. It tasted fine, but it didn't taste "frozen" even though it suggested it was "fresh" on the menu. But then, freshly defrosted and fried is still "fresh", right? Curry Fried Rice (unpictured) I am personally not a fan of the American Curry spice, but my friend who ordered it, loved it! Thai Basil (Signature): A safe dish you can order at any Thai place. This was good, and I know it says green beans on the menu, but whyyyyyy sooooo many!? It took away from the taste of everything else! (I'm the picture, you can't really see the amount of green beans, there were manyyyy more underneath) Black Pepper with chicken: This was the best thing I've tried. Lemonade (unpictured): Fresh squeezed and gooood! Even if you say no ice, they still fill the glass. Oh, for a "Thai" place to not have Chili Oil is... weird. At least the nice server offered to chop up chili and put it in oil.. but if you've tried any chili oil, you'll know why we declined the offer. I started out giving the review a 4-star, but as I'm writing my experience and reliving the dining experience from 5 days ago, I definitely lost 2 more stars. If you want GOOD American Thai, try out Siam Thai. For mouth-watering authentic Thai, look no further than Too Thai Street Food.

Great Thai restaurant. Food was tasty, came out fast and staff was available at all times. The price was very reasonable.

It seems to me that this should not happen ever, but I grant that it's possible that it was an honest mistake. Consequently, we get to spend some scarce weekend time to go to the business and get the duplicate-double charge reversed tomorrow, and will be hesitant to return in the future on the heels of this error. Dining out is a treat until you find that you've been gouged with an obvious double charge. I recommend that you check your statements for recent visits here to ensure that the same error was not inflicted on you as well. Update: we returned to Thai Thai today to give them a chance to make the chain of events described above right, and they fell significantly short. The woman who gave us our refund (for the pre-tax amount, after asking us what we wanted and replying the full amount with tip) did not apologize for our troubles, or offer any additional concessions to make up for their error (running our card TWICE for different amounts at the same time, after giving it to our waiter). I asked for a gift certificate for our troubles/their error, and she refused, still with no apology. See you never again, Thai Thai, for double charging us and doing the bare minimum (not even an apology) to address their "mistake."

This location is takeout only, and its location in Victory Park makes it a convenient spot for quick and delicious food. The first time I came I had the crispy wings, vegetable rolls, and the Pad Kee Mao. The wings were huge and meaty - real chicken. Nothing like what you get in mass quantities at places dedicated to wings. The wings were sprinkled with fried garlic, and the flavor was out of this world. My Pad Kee Mao was also cooked perfectly. I ordered the dish at a spice level 4, and it wasn't overly spicy at all. It was a real treat! The vegetable rolls were my favorite by a hair. They were fresh made and the veggies inside were abundant. The taste and texture of the cabbage inside was perfect. The second time I came I did a repeat with the wings and the rolls. I have rarely ever had "fast Asian" this fresh and made to order. It goes to show that fast food needn't be bad, but still, certain needs in this country need to be met. If you are in the Victory Park area and want some good food done fast and right, this is the spot.

You can tell they brew it and it doesn't come from a syrup. When I sat down, I was instantly greeted, and there were like four different people serving my table, I think that they all work as a team to make sure everything is covered. The service was just amazing. Restaurant is beautiful, the booths were , small and intimate and you feeling that you in place with privacy and yet part of the group ....kind of interesting how they've done that. But the food! The food was outstanding, first they gave me a complementary appetizer of Jasmine sticky rice with this eggplant chutney, that was very tasty, a teeny bit spicy, but really good depth with flavor. Then my beef Samosas arrived. There were four, wrapped in like a triangle rapper, smaller than the Indian version of the same, and the flavor was very tasty, and corn and small chopped potatoes, yum! The two chutneys that came with it one was a cool cucumber, and the other was this sweet and spicy plum sauce. They made samosas!!! They could be soft and cool, or they could be delicious and spicy, depending on chutney you had them with and you had a third option.... There was a bed of pickled radish and carrot that really sit off the samosas as well and we're just delicious on their own. I devoured the entire thing. Then get the entrée. I had drunken noodles and I added the shredded pork... It was devastatingly tasty!!! the noodles were obviously done it a wok that's been seasoned to perfection. The wide noodles picked up all that deliciousness from the wok and then combined with the pork... heaven ! They had large pieces of bell pepper and tomatoes. very fresh onions... Just deliciousness.
