This place was slammed busy on our Friday night visit. So much so there was a wait unless we took the remaining seat at the bar, so we took it! I never mind sitting in bars because I find bartenders often out perform their server counterparts. Our bartender was excellent! The inside the restaurant it is very loud. The interior is classy and simple, but loud. They do have outside seating that overlooks the park area, and provides a bit quieter environment. I ordered an appetizer of Crispy Veggie Spring Rolls. For my main dish I ordered Pad Wen Soon. Wowza on BOTH of them! These were among the best of these dishes I have eaten anywhere! Great food and location. I Found Ka Thai at their other location and loved it. Noticing there was a location closer to my home,I thought I would give it a shot also. When I arrived it was a beautiful spring like day,and I noticed they had a patio looking out onto a greenbelt. So,we chose outside. Great new find in that the food inside atmosphere and outside patio are all top notch just like the other location. The service was one step up which is nice these days. My family stopped in for a family-style feast as last week's ice storm began wrapping up, and had a good experience. The interior looked very updated and welcoming. We tried many dishes including the beef salad, white seaweed salad, lamb curry, tom kha soup, sea bass, pad Thai, lamb curry and crab fried rice. Everything had a lot of flavor, and service was efficient. The pad Thai noodle texture was exactly how I like it, a bit chewy and full of sauce. Any critiques I have are very small, but were noticed to me. My tom kha soup was half mushrooms and very tomato-y to me, and I'm not sure how I feel about the crab being turned into a sort of paste on top of the fried rice. They were both still very tasty, though. The sea bass came with an entire bowl of sauce which felt like overkill, but not really a negative -- I actually brought it home to eat with a future meal. What a treat! Easily the best Thai food we've had while visiting our son in Dallas. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed with their warm and attentive service. We chose to dine al fresco and absolutely loved the inviting atmosphere, it added such a relaxing touch to the evening. The tom kha soup was outstanding, rich and perfectly balanced with that signature creamy, tangy flavor. I also enjoyed the chicken satay, which was tender, flavorful, and paired beautifully with its sauce. I heard Ka Thai is Nara Smith's favorite Thai restaurant in Dallas, so I've always wanted to give it a try. As there is a plethora of great Thai restaurants in DFW, it did not disappoint! Portions here are pretty big and the prices are pretty fair, which I really appreciated. I tried the Pad Thai, and it was good, but just could've used a little more flavor, and the protein was a bit overcooked. However, the Green Thai curry was amazing. That's definitely what I'd order again next time. The inside is really pretty and has a nice vibe, and the staff are super friendly. It's very much giving date night vibes. What a great Thai restaurant! I am proud to say I've tried at least half of the menu (and it's a big menu) and they never disappoint! My biggest recommendation would be to come at happy hour ( all day Sunday and til 6 on weekdays): the appetizer and drink prices are fantastic! The butterfly mimosa and mango limeade (served in a tiki glass) are great mocktails! The prices are great for the portion size as well! Our favorites are the Pad See Ewe, yellow curry, glass noodle salad, and Kao Soi. We love all of the staff here- they are so friendly and happy (even on Christmas!). Stepping in, the restaurant is well decorated and the service is prompt and friendly. I was quickly seated and ordered the Spicy Edamame, the Pad Thai and the Yellow Curry. While the service and ambiance here is great, I don't feel like the food lived up to my expectations. We ordered: Mi Krop Crispy - Crispy wontons tossed in sweet and sour Tamarind sauce, peanuts, and shrimp $10. It had ONE shrimp. And it had an awful smell of rotten eggs. One person from our party couldn't even out it in their mouth from the smell. Me and the other person shared, and it tasted fine, but we had such a hard time eating it from the smell! We went to Ka Thai. For our anniversary. When we walked in atmosphere is really really nice. We started with appetizer sample we choose chicken wing steamed dumpling and summer rolls. Very light starter pairing with cocktail makes it even more refreshing . Move on to main course we ordered Chicken Mansaman Curry and shrimp Pad Thai. Both dishes are very delicious. Service was very nice our waitress very knowledgeable about all dishes. Very attentive but not made us feel like to annoying . We would like some dessert at the end but unfortunately we are too full. We honestly would give our review about a 4 1/2, but because we don't have that option, we rated it a four 4 . We both recently went there for the first time and enjoyed our dining experience there. We had the nicest waitress, her name was Kwang. We enjoyed not only meeting her, but would like for her to be our waitress again the next time we come, she was very good. I had Cashew Chicken with brown rice and would give it somewhere between a four and a five. When it was served, I actually did not like it too much, it was OK, definitely not my favorite. However, the portion was suitably substantial and I brought half of it home. In saying that, the ingredients must have melded together more and the flavor of it today is VERY good! My husband had the Pad Se Ew and he would give it a five 5. He said it was very flavorful and delicious! We also had two different appetizers, the Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce and the Crab and Avocado Rolls. The Spring Rolls were very fresh and we would give them about a four to a 4 1/2. We used to go to another restaurant before we moved, and would give there's a five and so it's hard when you've had one you really loved, but at least these were very fresh. We did not favor the peanut sauce here as well as we did the other restaurant, but it was definitely better tasting than some of the others we've had. We also got the Crab and Avocado Rolls and were delightfully surprised! My husband said, "Look, they use the crab with the C and not the K," meaning they were using real crab and not imitation crab. At first bite, we also really liked the cashew sauce that came with it. We got the dessert which was fried banana with coconut ice cream, it used to be a favorite of ours, but honestly, we did not enjoy that very much and would give that a two or three. It's hard sometimes when you found one you really love and for that reason, this one was not what we were looking for. They also had Fuji Bottled Water And I am so very thankful for that. For medical reasons, I need to drink very filtered water and a majority of the restaurants we've been to, do not serve bottled water and we have to bring our own. This was definitely a PLUS and a very nice touch for us! BUT I want to say our dining experience there was very nice. We really liked our waitress, our food was of high-quality and well prepared, and their plating was very nice also. I am SO happy that we have an amazing new, authentic Thai restaurant in this area! If you love Asian Mint or Malai, you will love this place. We went on a Sunday night and ordered a few things off the appetizer menu and split an entree. Everything was so delicious, the flavors really popped and reminded us of our trip to Thailand many years ago. We tried the heaven beef, roti canai, and the stir fry with beef. We really enjoyed our meal and had leftovers for the next day (which just got better with time!).
