We sat at the counter and chatted with the owner a bit and were so happy to hear that they're going to be opening a bigger space soon. Since it is in the main part of downtown, super close parking is a bit of a big ask; we parked at a public government building about two blocks down and walked over. Fortunately, we lucked out in that regard, as it was a nice day. The inside of the restaurant smelled absolutely amazing, so I was excited to order. Their lunch menu mostly consists of sandwiches and burgers, with limited sides like chips, broccoli salad, soup of the day, and so on. Bottled drinks and a couple of desserts round it all out. My parents split a Philly cheese steak sandwich with pasta salad; I got a chicken cheese steak with a cup of the soup of the day (potato), and we shared a slice of strawberry pretzel salad for dessert! The employees were nice enough to bring our food out to us while we were at a metal table on the patio, so that was sweet. Food came out relatively quickly and was definitely fresh. Overall, it was fine! My favorite thing was probably the strawberry pretzel salad; I wish I'd had a little more but I should've ordered my own portion! lol. They also have the option of getting half sandwiches with a soup or salad. You order at the counter here and are given a number, which an employee will call out when your food is ready. We both got sour cream with ours; I also got pickled jalapeños on mine at no extra charge. Everything was tasty. The Frito pie was a sizeable portion and very hearty. The chili wasn't spicy at all but had satisfying umami flavor. The Fritos stayed nicely crunchy and the jalapeños were a great touch.
