The gentleman serving was very kind and friendly. My dinner was pretty much on his hands since I asked for his recommendations. I got myself a meal of fried catfish, a must try item, and 6-pc fried shrimp. The meal came with seasoned rice, coleslaw, and a side which I chose to be hush puppies. The wait for all these couldn't be more than 15 minutes, since it takes 9.5 min to fry the catfish. The catfish was so soft and melted in your mouth, the shrimps were plump and juicy. I was given spicy coleslaw which is interesting and delicious. All that with the seasoned rice, chefs kiss! For dessert, I highly highly highly recommend the keylime pie. As an avid tart lover, this pie hits home. I'd come back just for this pie. Oh and a piece of the catfish is enough for one person, it's a decent size, tho they do offer a meal of 1-3 pieces, so order accordingly :)

The offerings indicated someone who cooked using a bit of flair and looked like they knew how to enhance a dish with sauces. I selected the Rosemary Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas. Now these are not like any quesadilla I've had as a "appetizer" at many restaurants, this was a creative melding of intricate flavors into a quasi-soft shell taco/quesadilla. The grilled chicken had great flavor and the bacon and ranch really complemented the quesadilla. The tortilla was perfect, slightly crisp, and held the entire quesadilla together and didn't fall apart after the first bite. To top it all off...I got to meet the owners/operators Frankie and Tony Wong. This couple works hard, serve up great food, and are really fun to talk to. We both got 4 carne asada tacos for $6. So cheap! (I've found that food is not necessarily cheaper here than in CA even with the high wages in CA just saying...) And man was it good. The meat was so well seasoned and they gave plenty of meat per street taco. The only thing missing is some darn Carne Asada fries! I wish that was a thing here! Oh and orange bang. Where can a girl get some orange bang around here? I need my whipped orange creamsicle drink stat! Or whipped pina colada drink! They do have horchata that is a plus! I'm so glad I found this place.
