However, read on for all those people out there who love their silk or dry clean only tops and stain every last one! I purchased a beautiful purple silk top at Juicy Couture on sale and was pumped to wear it....only to toss a round, fat, cherry tomato dripping with balsamic vinaigrette right onto the ruffle layers by lunchtime of its debut. AWESOME. (this is why I can't have nice things. I'm a menace to fashion society.) I tried rinsing it immediately in cold water (to no avail). I scoured beaverton for club soda (to no avail). When I made it home, my summer mom (aka roommate) had club soda so I spent 20 minutes with towel in hand, soaking and lightly rubbing the stain in circles onto the ruffles.....to no avail. I was ready to give up. Summer mom recommended Lauren Cleaners since they were affordable and nearby. She's been going there for years. I didn't see great reviews on yelp for anything stain-related so I figured, "Why not? If the shirts ruined, this is my last shot." When I picked up the shirt today, the stain was GONE! It literally made my day. From now on, have bib? Will look silly eating. No bib? Dry clean with Lauren. Side note: the owner named it after her daughter, not me :P

Not happy at all. I dropped off 1 pair of dress pants that needed the left hem sewn back up, and a…read moredress shirt that the sleeve partially tore at the seam around the wrist. I asked for them to be pressed w/o starch and dry cleaned. I dropped off on Thursday Morning and was told to pick up any time after 1400 on Monday. I go to pick up and the lady tells me that it's not ready and asked if I had errands to run and if I could come back in 10 minutes. I stated I didn't want to deal with traffic and that I'll wait. About 5 minutes go by and she comes back with the shirt saying it wasn't ready and hasn't even been sewn let alone cleaned! I asked about the pants. She spent 5 minutes looking around, I assume she couldn't find them because she asked what color they were, and said they weren't ready either. Very frustrating!! I asked when they will be ready and she said tomorrow morning-well we'll see. UPDATE: went in the next day and the daughter was there. She told me that her mom said not to charge for two alterations because they weren't ready Monday when I originally went to pickup ..that was 10.00 off. I just had to pay for the clean and press. I decided I'm give them another chance given the alterations were on-going and the press was nice.

The front of each leg was one height and the back of each leg was , I kid you not, three inches longer. I showed the pants to the owner and she commented that it was done that way to compensate for the "lift" that occurs with the curve of the butt. I told her had never owned pants built like that, and had not asked for anything more than shortening of the hem. I told her to send it back for correction. She reluctantly took the pants. When I went back to get the pants, they were still uneven and too long. I left in disgust. She seemed unconcerned that they failed to respond to my request for even hems on each leg. To top it off they are pricy- their work is nothing special.
