I've had patches sewn on my jacket by them three times the first two times were excellent and very inexpensive I think $10 per patch but on the third one it was like they intentionally put it on crooked I didn't say anything but it was frustrating because it was obviously not how it was supposed to go on unless they had a lazy eye lol and now that I think about it there was no regard when they put the second patch on because they could've easily placed it to where it didn't sew shut the inside pocket but it was like they deliberately placed it to where it would ruin the inside pocket. I guess if you give them clear precise instructions it wouldn't have happened but I just always forget that common sense isn't so common these days. I will say despite my frustrations the stitching was good. read more

Be VERY clear about how you want something altered. I asked them to please even put the uneven hem of my midi dress, he asked me how much length I wanted taken off. I said no, I want the hem to be evened out, no length off (as much as possible). He even pinned it to only be about half an inch shorter. The dress I received back was a good 3-4 inches shorter and is now not heavy enough to keep the zipper from puckering oddly in the back. I called to tell them I was unhappy and they tried to argue with me. The workmanship is good, and they've been fine in the past, but I am disappointed in how they handled this situation. read more

The pricing here is absolutely predatory. Actually gross how much they're charging. I've gone a few times now and unfortunately will have to drive to a further away cleaner because they're charging almost 13 dollars per garment to dry clean. The work done is fine but when I'm dropping of basics for stains I'm not expecting to pay what they are charging. They have a right to charge whatever they want but I also have a right to voice my opinion. My old dry cleaner charged 6.50 for the same service btw. So this is double that and I moved to Portland from a more expensive city so that's really saying something. read more

My old drycleaners (who were just o.k.) closed so I was in search of a new relationship. I've taken my clothes to Ford Cleaners (cheap but you get what you pay for) but I was hoping for something closer to home - Yelp! to the rescue! I must have driven by this place 1000 times but it's so nondescript, I've never noticed it. I've even been INSIDE the petstore next door but never paid attention. They could use some fresher signage with more information . . . like, their business hours which are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (LOVE it!). They are open on Saturdays, too, although I neglected to ask him the hours when I stopped by to pick up my order. Part of the reason I forgot was that I was refreshingly bewildered by their service. My pickup was for Saturday and everything was ready but he wasn't satisfied with how a blouse had turnedout - he wanted to redo it for free and include it with my next order (which I was dropping off). Wow! I am loving it. Add to that the fact that they have off street parking - yes, their own parking lot! - right on Division. Makes it very easy for the customer along with the rightly priced, excellent service. I'll be on a first name basis with these folks in no time. read more

My husband's suit was very clearly ripped by a machine or something from this place, which he noticed when trying them on at home right after dry cleaning. When we took it in, they acted like such a thing was not possible and didn't even offer a refund for the cost of dry cleaning, let alone reparations for the $250 suit pants. They refused to retry and refused to refund my money and was told "Nothing comes for free." Yet apparently not doing a job has a more than $10 fee. Addendum: I just hand washed the spots with cold water and detergent and got them out myself. [Fast-forward 6 months of the suit hanging on our coat rack by the front door.] On my way to the grocery store a few Saturdays ago, we dropped my one and only suit off at Certi-Clean because (1) the place we used to patronize on Powell closed and (2) it didn't seem like there was a consensus amazing dry cleaner in Southeast. I've had a few items hemmed (I assume they send these out) and they came back quickly, looking great. There have been a couple of cases however when they haven't been able to get spots out, and on one occassion they did a weird press-job on one of the mister's shirts, and it was never the same. These guys are cheap (recently cleaned and pressed seven shirts, two jackets, and a pair of trousers for $29.75), effective, and conveniently located. So why the three stars? Most seriously, when I gave them a drop-off of two shirts and a jacket and was told two business days, they were not at all ready three business days later. I managed to get my shirts just in time for an interview, but talk about a garrison finish. They provided no warning that they would be delayed, either. Also, today, when I came in six hours after they said everything would be ready, they asked me "what color are the pants?" and spent awhile looking for them. They found them, but the fact that they had to ask does not inspire confidence in their work. Still, better that then trying to guess which ones were mine. I wouldn't mind waiting a little longer for everything to arrive or paying a little more if it meant receiving exactly what I paid for at the time specified on the ticket. read more

I take all of my dry cleaning here, and I've never had a problem. My clothing gets a lot of abuse, and they always do a great job cleaning stains as much as possible and they are great at pressing trousers and lapels. In fact, they get a beautiful lapel roll on all of my jackets, even the ones that didn't come with beautiful lapel rolls originally. When one has a lot invested in a suit, it's really difficult to trust a dry cleaner. My first few trips here were worrying ones, but I had no cause nor reason. For men's clothing, especially good suits and jackets, this place is a great one. read more

Took my dresses to be dry cleaned. First, the place looks really unorganized and dirty, it looks like they never clean their store. Second, the lady that works at the front doesn't greet you, looks upset, and is not kind. Those all would have been okay but I got my dress back and my white dress was covered in hair. I mean, covered and all intertwined into the fabric that I had to use tweezers to pull them out. Some were animal hair and some were human hair. Ugh I was so disgusted. They added stains to the sleeves of my shirt. I asked them to fix it.. they charged me and didn't fix it. I won't be back. Don't waste your money or time. It looked like they had starch marks on the sleeves. It wasn't there when I brought in the shirt. Oh which!!! I only wore 1 other time for a job interview. She said it was my fault for having my hands on the table and writing. These sleeves have been in nothing but my jacket. It's my interview suit. I have used this place for a year and a half because they are the only place somewhat convenient to where I live. Over the time as their customer, they have not been good at having things done when they say they will be done, shirts are not pressed as well as they should be and I have had multiple experiences when I look the clothes over and find damage that "it was there before". Today was the last straw. My $900 raincoat still had fuzz and for all over it and as I looked it over, there was a big oil stain on it, which I KNOW was not there when I dropped it off. Once again, I was told it was already there. When I disagreed with him, he pointed to a wear spot and said it was the same thing, which it clearly wasn't. When I argued with him, he continued to charge me and then told me he didn't want to talk to me anymore. I spend about $200 a month there and I will gladly cancel my payment and go somewhere else in order to not receive such horrible service. read more
