If you're looking to detox, Ritz is where you want to be. I battled opiate addiction for 7 years, 5…read moreof those on fentanyl and honestly, I was terrified of going through withdrawal. It took a friend convincing me to get help and give Ritz a shot, and honestly, it was the best decision I ever made. The staff really knows what they're doing when it comes to this disease, and they helped me finally get off fentanyl for good. Ritz is clean, cozy, and has this chill vibe that makes it easy to settle in and focus on getting better. What I loved most was how the team treated me , they actually listened, kept it real, and showed real compassion because many of them had been through the same struggles. They didn't just throw a one size fits all plan at me, they made a plan that fit meIt felt like a safe space where I could be open and vulnerable without any judgment. I met people there I never thought I'd even hang out with, but some of them turned out to be the best folks I've met. We even went on weekend outings that showed me how to have fun without drugs. Oh, and huge shoutout to Steve, the chef, seriously, the best food I've ever had.

Not the best experience, I was targeted by certain staff members and treated poorly at times. while…read moresome staff members were exceptionally helpful and supportive(Danielle, nick, Laura, Johanna, and Chantelle as well as the chef). The overall company was trying to get the most money out of my insurance as possible. I started off in the sober living facility and during Christmas time, I had covid over winter and had to take NyQuil and that was the first excuse for forcing me back into a rehab program that was not needed. My reason for being in the program in the first place was that I had 18 back to back surgeries over the past 4 years and was on opioids for a long period of time so this was a way to detox in a safe environment. There was no psychological addiction, just physical dependence to opioids. They lied about multiple addictions to medication(amphetamine addiction) that I was prescribed since childhood and used it to get more money through insurance. They also lied about an alcohol addiction, when I am medically intolerant to alcohol. When I got back to the sober living after this time I was talked about poorly among staff members and called "attention seeking" for asking for a few days off in order to visit 2 dying family members. Eventually someone in the group had consumed alcohol and told the staff which upset another client due to the unfairness and favoritism. This upset client gave me alcohol without my knowledge or consent and afterwards told the staff that I was drunk. This other client had been upset and doing things like this for 2 weeks prior to this incident. I believe he did this in order to prove a point that they will send people they dislike or with good insurance back to rehab in order to get more money. This client later confessed to me he had put alcohol in my drink without my consent and I had a reaction to the alcohol and was placed back into the rehab facility. I was put on addictive barbiturates and unnecessary medications for 2 days before my insurance denied coverage due to fraudulent services. The alcohol level was so low that there was no logical reason I needed to be there. I was then abandoned as a patient had had to find a new place to live in 2 hours or I was out on the street. Remember it's just a business. They don't actually care about you. They left another 2 of my friends on their own where one eventually fell into a coma following her abandonment. Something else they did was contact my pharmacy and told them never to fill any of my prescriptions ever from any doctor. I was no longer under their care at all. I'm a disabled person and this made it very difficult to obtain medication that I needed. This is a HIPPA violation for sure.

You can tell they really work with the patients and seem very involved in helping them get stronger and back on their feet. The facility is on the smaller side, but honestly, I think that's a good thing. It feels more personal and like the patients can get more one-on-one attention instead of feeling like they're just one of many. Looking for a place for family can be stressful, but we left the tour feeling really good about Brentwood and especially the therapy program. Definitely worth checking out if physical therapy and more personal care are important to you.

Please tell that unprofessional B**** when an elderly man is dying and his wife of 38 years is crying on his shoulder, keep her mouth shut. She was patching up his other arm, cancer patients bleed easily. I was not in her way nor did she say I was. However, she said, disgustedly, how insensitive my crying was and she was surprised I hadn't been asked to leave. Yes, seriously. Our first experience when he wasn't as sick, I wrote positive things. We had to return when his illness progressed and were treated completely different. My tip is, if your loved one is recovering from a broken bone, or similar ailment this place is fine. If your loved one is unable to defend themselves against abusive staff, you do not want to come here. And yes, Andrea was only abusive to me. Read second review to hear how he was literally tortured by other staff. I've been too busy planning the funeral to file the law suit. See you soon, DJ.

My mother suffered a devastating stroke that left her unable to walk, unable to move her arms, and barely able to speak--at one point, the only word she could say was "ok." As a family, we were scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what her future would look like. What this facility did for her... truly changed everything. Today, she is now speaking over 100 words. That transformation alone speaks volumes about the dedication and skill of the speech therapy team. They didn't just do their job--they gave my mother her voice back. The physical therapy department worked with her consistently, day in and day out. Even though she's still on her journey toward walking and regaining full use of her hands, the progress she's made has given her something priceless: belief. She now knows recovery is possible, and that mindset shift is everything. Let's be real--no place is perfect. But what sets this facility apart is the effort, the consistency, and the care. In a place where patients are going through some of the hardest moments of their lives, the staff still shows up with compassion and professionalism. From the valet to the front desk, from housekeeping to dietary staff, management, and especially the nurses and students putting in real, hands-on work--you can feel that people here care. And that matters more than anything. This is not just a facility--it's a place where real healing happens. To everyone there: thank you for giving my mother progress, hope, and dignity. Please keep doing what you're doing--you are truly changing lives.

I paid 35k in cash for 2 weeks - it is so not worth it. It is so far from a luxury experience. It's a scam. I brought my own prescribed medication from home - they destroyed it without telling me and then put me on their own paltry regimen which has resulted in one week of literally no sleep. The food is terrible - overly salty and overly rich - not clean. Unhealthy. My bathroom sink literally has chunks of enamel peeling off. The bedding is uncomfortable. They say that there is a private chef but really the food just gets delivered meal by meal and it is usually cold and you have to heat it in the microwave. I took a yoga class today and the yoga teacher was vaping throughout the class. The curriculum involves xeroxed handouts and every instructor just has the clients take turns reading them. One of the sessions was watching a 20 year old video on HIV. This place is an absolute joke.
