Fast forward to yesterday when I had to bring the same bike in for repairs (brought on by my daughter-not the bike's fault). Zach was now the one to fix the bike. Zach was great at both explaining what he was doing and taking the time to make sure it was done well. I had to leave the bike overnight but I got a call the next day with an explanation of what was completed as well as the cost. It was far less expensive than I was expecting.

From the second you walk in the door, it is difficult to get help. The guy at the desk must be watching an intense movie or something because he was sure engrossed in the computer screen. I needed some breaks and described what I needed to the folks in the back. Out of the blue, some other employee walks up and barks, "That's not what you are looking for," then rolls his eyes and walks away. What happened to the friendly local bike store with staff who were polite? Cyclists are typically a really great community, but why doesn't Bert's follow in that tradition? If you are in a jam and need something quick, this might be the place to go. They need to work on those personal communication skills. Maybe they need to spend more time out riding in the community. I wish I could be more positive about my experience.

Thule sells extra bike straps on their website- these things exist. Then I asked if they had covers for it to keep the bikes from getting dirty when you drive with them on the rack. His reply: "That's the price you pay for carrying your bikes on the back of the car." Extra straps and covers exist, so I'm not sure why the attitude was necessary. Needless to say I'm not going to shop there going forward- I don't appreciate being spoken down to.

He made many recommendations on accessories that I now have and love. My family and I loved the experience so much that we even brought another bike in that was sitting around and needed a tune up in for him to take a look at. Overall it was an incredible experience and I am over the moon about my new decked out bike! I've had the bike for about a month now and am still going back to Tom's Pro Bike to get more things (a new helmet and a bike rack for my car). Sarah gave me a complete overview of all the workings of the bike. Sarah checked for questions along the way to assure that I understood. Tom's is an exceptional bike shop. They do a great job of keeping everything organized here. Sabres and Bills stuff in different sections, sports cards and trading cards broken down into different spots on the other side. They also have so much room for the events that they hold here. Along with the amount of product they have, they also have some cool pop culture collectibles on display which makes the whole place have a fun feel. Service here is good. Sometimes the value is a little high. Some markups on trading cards could be a little lower but oh well, that's the sign of the times I guess. They claimed to only have 1 yet in the past 30 days I've ordered 7 of them and there's currently another one listed on their website. Of course they raised the price 10% after waiting 25 hours to post it on the site. And of course they can't price match it because it's not within 24 hours. (The fact that they took more than 24 hours to post it on their site doesn't matter) My account rep said they'd price match a price within the last 24 hours. They take 25-26 hours to post another item in stock to get around that price matching. Very sketchy and slimy sales team. Reflects poorly on the owners and the company as a whole. I gave them 2 stars simply because the shipping has been quick.
