The parking can be a bit tricky for some who haven't been yet but it's easy to figure out. I love the atmosphere and how they pay attention to a wide variety of scenes from Emo and Goth Nights to Disco and Fairy Raves. The staff is always nice and the service runs smooth every time. The bar seems to provide drinks quickly throughout the night. I've never had a bad experience at Chelsea's even when I lost my phone and I will continue to attend concerts and shows there. I've brought all my friends and they've all had a great time as well. Definitely in my go to places for a fun night out alone or with friends!

Waze tends to send to through some areas I don't want to drive solo through, so I usually detour. Parking can be slightly sketch at night, and be aware if you're in heels, you may have to park in gravel/large rocks under the interstate. You are parking at your own risk, so don't leave valuables out. Staff is always there to greet you with a smile. I've never encountered any employee there who didn't seem to be in a pretty good mood. The floor space is large with lots of standing room. Depending on the event, they'll throw some high top tables around. There are two bars, each pretty big, and the bartenders are very attentive, looking around for the next person to serve (which is good because I am short and can get lost under some people). The drinks are a bit pricey, but the liquor is pretty good with a variety. The private events I have attended were well run and staff members were very helpful for those who rented it. The public events are also very well done. Chelsea's Live brings in some pretty big names, so keep your eye out for future events. They also highlight local artists. The stage is high enough to where you can see who's on it no matter where you are in the place. I do wish it was a little easier to get to, but it is certainly worth attending some great shows there!

Located just outside of the LSU campus, it has been a mainstay in the area for decades. While it's mainly concerts that rock this venue, I've attended corporate events, watched LSU Tiger games, and enjoyed a show or two in years past. I've always enjoyed my time here. Not to be confused with a cinema, this multifaceted venue has played host to a number of events and has partnered with many organizations both local and national to feature great acts and some for great causes. My favorite event in the past was a Saints game night, where for $12 one got unlimited beers (Bud Lights only?) and all the hot dogs one could eat, as well as red beans and rice. If that deal is still available, I'll be floored. The parking isn't the most friendly. Street parking is usually that is available and it's more luck than anything else. The Varsity is in good company with a number of other super famous establishments located within the same block. Figuratively, one could chow down at Chimes, play games at Barcade, drink their face off here, and then head to Louie's or Raising Canes for some late night food. This is such a prime location that it's great for a solid casual night out. From concerts to comedy nights, there is literally not a thing that this place can't host. While I do wish for a slightly better men's bathroom, unsightly conditions do happen at places that holds hundreds of people at a time. Peep their schedule on their website and social media for what's happening next.

The parking lot is behind the building and is not big at all. Fortunately we were able to park across at LSU visitors parking lot and walk about 3 minutes down to the venue. The line was wrapped around the building but it moved quickly. I did will call tickets and had no problem with my name being found on the list. There was a bar with about 10 barstools set up but those were taken. I would suggest being first in line to get a seat at one of these. Upstairs had a few tables but once again those were taken. I ended up watching the show against the wall next to the railing and had a good view of everything. I had a Basic Bitch drink which was surprisingly good. Drink was huge and was only $11. I will definitely look for more events at this venue.

Once in the restaurant, we went to the bar and got their amazing Golden Gatsby cocktail. It was sweet and fruity and had a nice kick to it. The bartender made great drinks our entire visit. I also got an old fashioned which was great. We ordered the beef wellingtons minis and the duck confit tacos which were very yummy. There were not a lot of people there at all. It was us and another couple. We did not have any long wait times at all which was one of the reasons I chose an earlier reservation time not a time later in the afternoon. The ambiance was perfect for date night and the vibe was very intimate. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic evening with their significant other!

Right when we arrived, a band called Night Hog start to perform. They were really good! They played on the first floor stage, and we sat at the seating right across from them. There was a dance floor in between us, but no one was dancing. We sat here for quite some time while we waited to bowl, so we kept going to the other side of the first floor to get drinks from the bar. Bar service was great! I never waited for a drink, and the bartenders gave good recommendations. Typical bar with plenty of cocktails and beers. When it was our turn to bowl, we went up to the 5th floor and got our lane. It is $25 an hour per lane, which I think is an amazing deal. At the lane, there are places to sit, tvs, tons of bowling balls and four total lanes. For bowling you were able to choose different games after you finished your round. I really like how they didn't make you change your shoes.. you could bowl in heels if you wanted. Show rental is free! This was an old warehouse converters into an event venue... just so cool. I love that each floor is different and there are bars in every floor, so you don't have to go back down to the first to keep getting drinks. Such a fun time!

I had not been in some time, my last few experiences were filled with drunk kids at the bar and I figured it was a place I was too old for. But recently, I went in after work to meet with some friends, and the place certainly had a glow-up. They have a decent wine selection, and the cocktails were on point. The bar is clean and I like the different levels. The lushly decorated outdoor area is comfortable and a nice way to relax and enjoy conversation. And everyone who worked there was helpful and engaging. We also attended a Galentines Day event recently, and that was a great way to expose new people and those who had been away to the location. Delicious catering items were spread throughout the space. While I likely will avoid any large scale events there, it is nice option for grabbing a drink after work or attending a special event. Of course a note about parking.... because the area is separated by a fence, it is a little dicey. You can park in the lot on the other side of the fence and walk around, or you can drive to the back behind the building. Please be aware of your surroundings if doing so as it is pretty remote back there.

When I walked in the atmosphere was a bit boring..... anyone could basically go behind the bar and drink if you knew the managers. NEARLY EVERYONE who was serving me was underage, one girl even told me she had just turned 21... I was a bit uncomfortable with that. The drinks are overpriced... What bar doesn't serve Titos? The worst part about it every time i went in the bathroom most of the employees would be sniffing drugs.. like what type of bar are you guys running ? This bar needs to be shut down.... Let me update my review since it's being misconstrued and talked about . This review has NOTHING to do with anyone that worked at this bar. I've worked in a bar 12+ plus years ! I know how old you have to be to serve and yes that's correct it's 18 . Drinking and serving underage is highly illegal and I saw both of those things . Along with the drugs in the bathroom . My review still stands and no it's not biased . It's a great atmosphere but it needs to be ran the correct way .
