Been going here for years, our favorite Chinese in town. Food is always on pints, delicious and huge portions!!!

This is the second time my wife has ordered food from this place and it has taken a hour and a half+. This time she calls to check on the status of when she might get her food and the "manager" says (itll be there in 10 minutes) then hangs up. Doesn't say sorry or bye or even wait for my wife to say anything back, just hangs up. To top it off when the dude shows up a hour and forty-five minutes later he says it's 24$ and I give him 25$ because I don't have exact change and the guy takes off and doesn't even ask if i want my change. To ask me to pay was already ridiculous and to think you deserve a extra dollar as if you earned it was crazy. I always like to support small business but I hope nobody goes here. Also if ther was an option I'd put no star. read more

Two weeks ago we got delivery. Not as good as it usually is. Almond chicken dry , very little gravy . Not much sauce on any of our dishes. First x we have been disappointed. It will be a while before we order again. Plus driver just left the food on the porch. I took them I was using a walker .. it would take me a few minutes to get to the door . I heard a knock and said I'll be there as soon as I can . He was. Driving away . I know next time I'll tip when they get here not before like this x . read more

Most of this meal was just simply not good. I put some soy sauce on the chow mien for at least some flavor, the sweet and sour chicken was a hard pass after one bite. It was just a bad meal. You can tell there are inconsistencies within the restaurant by how the carrots are cut differently. I don't know. This meal was just unappealing, unappetizing, not flavorful and yet bad at the same time. $60 for three items. Never again. Oh and to top it all off one of the lids to the soup wasn't completely on so luckily we had extra napkins in the car because it was all over the bottom of the bag therefore all of the containers as well. read more

I've been going here for years for the lemon tofu and sometimes the teriyaki tofu. The tofu is amazing. They also have impressive serving sizes and they have a good deal on lunches. This is my favorite restaurant in Spokane. The servers are friendly and fast. read more

Just spent the worst 71 dollars at this place my wife and i walked in and theres flys everywhere place is not clean we ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the lemon chicken with fried rice and chow mein i told them i did like the meal and want the check they charged me full price and then after i got sick i called the place up and the owner said the chicken was fried last NIGHT! So its fresh. Absolutely disgusting never go here!!!! read more

Never again. EVERYTHING tasted like white pepper. The vegetables were still frozen in my takeout. Almond chicken was horrible. Foo yung was mushy and cold. Under cooked, still tasted freezer burnt. Something you would buy for a dollar a patty and pass off.. The Walnut Shrimp, which used to be good was just inedible. tasted like parmesan and condensed milk with cold, under cooked shrimp.. The top of the almond chicken take out looked literally scraped from someone else's plate. Skip this stop if you are wanting good food. My dogs rejected it because of the WHITE pepper content. The food was not bad. For being delivery it was actually pretty good. The food we got anyway. We ordered doordash and when it arrived we were missing a whole meal, a side, and our appetizer sampler was missing items that it said were included in the description. We spent $100 on food here and then it wasn't all provided. Really disappointing. read more

Good food and fast service. Went for lunch and sat at the cute table top, it was a quick easy lunch for a short break.

Heard good things about my experience was not positive. Ignored by waitress, asked for a menu. Ordered almond chicken- gummy, egg fu young... no bean sprouts and gummy, special chow main, only ate the bbq pork, the rest had no flavor. Left most of the food sitting in my plate...$20. read more

Found this little gem of a restaurant while in the hillyard neighborhood with my son and we were very glad we did. Clean inside , great service and the food was the best Chinese I have had in Spokane in quite awhile . We had two chicken dishes that were both amazing . While browsing for what to get I also noticed plenty of vegan and gluten free Menu options which you don't always see. The only thing I'm confused about is why they don't have a higher rating on here? They definitely should! If you like Chinese food you should definitely check this place out even if it's a tad out Of the way. Well worth it. read more

As an update several people have reached out to me and asked that I remove my rating. Let me ask you all what you think. Step into my shoes for this issue. Had you spent close to $300 in less than a week anywhere it doesn't matter what the place or the situation. Then after having spent that amount of money the owner comes to you and says going forward you cannot have to go cups because the $.37 for the 6 cups you used isn't worth the $300 you spent. It doesn't matter if the food is the greatest food on the planet. I don't care if it was Gordon Ramsey severing me directly. The principal of the matter is that the owner having seen us multiple times in the restaurant should have felt that $.37 is a drop in the bucket for someone willing to travel to their establishment and spend a lot of their HARD EARNED money on your food. Here is a good way of looking at it. You and your family go out to eat. You receive an almost $200 bill. You pay for the bill and on the way out the door the owner walks up to you and your family and punches each of you in the stomach and tell you to get out. Would you still give them 5 stars because the food was good???????? Would you ever even go back??????? So before you ask me to take down my review think about that first. read more

*Vegan* This will definitely be my husband and I's go Chinese restaurant when we are looking for some comforting food. We went on Valentine's Day and they had an entire 4 course meal with all vegan options, which was really sweet! The place was pretty packed but we quickly found out that it was mostly people waiting to pick up their take out orders, so we were seated fairly quickly. Food: We opted for the Valentine's day special, as it was only $38 and you got a soup, appetizers, two entrees and dessert. I loved the general tso's tofu and the pot stickers were very good as well. Atmosphere: Our table was a little dirty and I got the sense that the whole place could use a good scrub down, but I can't blame them - it must have been a busy Valentine's day! Our booth was right next to the bus station - not the most pleasant view. I will most likely choose to eat from my own couch in the future. However, our server was super sweet and helpful -- definitely good customer service. We will be back for more! Maybe takeout next time. read more

Among the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Calling it "food" is actually a bit misleading. BBQ pork is DRY. I mean, totally dessicated. Sand-like. I literally couldn't eat it which is a situation I'm in maybe once every few years. Vegetable chow mein was perhaps six shreds of vegetable matter surrounded by miles of congealed noodles. I called to complain about the BBQ Pork and was told I'd be called back. Wasn't. Called again. Pinned the manager down and he sheepishly agreed to refund the cost of the BBQ pork. Vegan review: The Red Dragon is that American-Chinese restaurant of your vegan dreams! I just moved to town, and I've been three times in a week. The go-to menu item is the "Pick Three Combo:" it's very reasonably priced at $10 and includes three items from their menu. Personally, I recommend the sweet and sour tofu, teriyaki tofu, and vegan chow mien! I've also had the General Tso's tofu, and it was also phenomenal. The vegan menu is marked, and the menu is also marked for gluten-sensitivities. Highly recomm Red Dragon is a great place to bring your friends/partners/etc who are not vegan, as they have a full array of non-veggie dishes that will certainly please them too! Update: the vegan hot and sour soup is truly amazing. You can only order it as a bowl (instead of as a cup), but you will certainly love it! read more

This was the first time here. I had basically their sampler plate. The number 10 combo had some of just about everything they served. It all was very good. Was not a fan of the egg rolls but everything else was wonderful. We were there during their Happy Hour. Full bat and some very nice draft beers on tap too. The service was exectional and the meals arrived promptly and hot. All in all, I would very much like to recommend this resturant, if you are in the mood for some very nice chinese food. read more

Update: i rolled the dice again, a year later and it was better. No diarrhea. Wow. In my last review I said that the take out wasn't as good as in the restaurant and wow, I wasn't kidding. I love lemon chicken and I realize that this place can be inconsistent but this time the chicken was so over cooked and dry it was like eating pieces of leather. New chef?? Maybe have him taste it before sending it out. Good grief. It was horrible. And I had asked them to label all the gluten-free items so no one accidentally eats the wrong thing. We love supporting small businesses and this is definitely one of our favorites!! We've ordered almost every family banquet trays that offer and we have yet to be disappointed. This time we ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and Pick 3 Appetizers Tray (15 Crab Wontons, 15 Baby Egg rolls, and 15 Spring Rolls) The Kung Pao Chicken is by far our most favorite dish from here. It's filled with plenty of wonderful moist Chicken breast, veggies, and topped off with peanuts!! The sauce is just the perfect combination with a hint of sweetness and heat which goes perfectly over their steamed rice!! The Appetizers were also fantastic!! We absolutely loved the Mini Crab Wontons!! Dip them in the sweet chili sauce and it put a new tasty twist on these little guys!! The Baby Egg rolls and Spring Rolls which normally are not one of my favorite things to eat at a Chinese restaurant but because they chopped the cabbage into small minced pieces, it wasn't so overwhelmingly cabbage tasting!! Just the right amount of minced chicken, carrots and cabbage made the egg rolls really enjoyable!! Overall we were extremely happy with our choices and of course along with friendly staff at pickup, we always look forward to ordering take out from here again!! Absolutely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Spokane. The taste of their food is always amazing. The one in Hillyard seems to have a better flavor and the taste melts into your tongue. We have ordered there many times and my wife needs to have gluten free food, they have a great gluten free menu that does not compromise flavor. I love soy sauce but with or with out soy sauce, the flavor and texture are just a dining delight. Price for the quality of food is not bad at all. read more

‼2/5 & here's why: The red dragon had a cute little atmosphere which made it feel inviting and friendly when we walked in. The servers looked like they were working hard so we didn't mind the wait it took to get our order in. We ordered the lemon tofu rice bowl, general tofu bowl, orange chicken, pot stickers, and egg rolls. The lemon tofu bowl came out a bright neon yellow color. The lemon sauce tasted like it came from concentrate. It wasn't fresh and light tasting like lemon naturally is. The tofu in the general tofu was too moist but definitely had the best flavor out of our entrees. The orange chicken was foul. It tasted like it had been sitting out for weeks and then got warmed up in the microwave to be served to us. The pieces on the outside were cold but the middle was piping out which seemed odd. Biting into the chicken felt like biting into rubber. It had little to no orange flavor in it and tasted mainly like fish sauce. Ive honestly never had worse entrees from a Chinese restaurant before. I nicely mentioned to the server at the end that we were a bit disappointed with the food. We were met with defensiveness (as if the food tasting horrible was our fault). Mind you this was mentioned after we had already given her our credit cards to pay the bill. We weren't looking for any sort of hand out. We just wanted to express our honesty with her with the understanding that it's in no way her fault that the food didn't meet our expectations. I will say the pot stickers and the egg drop soup were yummy. Unfortunately the overall experience was more negative then positive so we will not be back. read more
