The Red Elephant is a few doors down from Ology Brewing. And Ology is not always serving food. So we tend to grab a pizza from the Red Elephant and eat it with a beer at Ology. Ordered a salad and spaghetti. The spaghetti was runny and no bread or anything served with it. Just runny spaghetti in a plastic container. The real problem was the soggy wilted salad with the toughest rubbery chicken I've ever had. I only had a few bites and got the worst food poisoning ever. I emailed the manager (assuming it's the correct email on their website) as soon as I could and, 2 weeks later, still no response. I'll never return! read more

Kelsay loved the Rebecca salad, Kim enjoyed the wings with celery, ranch, and sweet potato fries plus the cheesy mac pasta, and Mason had a quesadilla with sour cream. My husband and I decided to check out this place while running errands and hungry on a weekend afternoon. The entire restaurant could use a deep clean in my opinion. Filthy walls and windows where the seating was and the carpets looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a good while. The utensils we were given still had some old food and grime stuck to them. The booths were uncomfortable and way too thin to sit back without feeling like you're gonna touch the person behind you. Observed the wait staff eating in booths visible to customers while serving. Food was okay but nothing to write home about. The pizza looked slopped together with little care. (Who cuts pizza into squares besides when it's Sicilian?) It was so thin it was difficult to eat. There was no two-bite check in; the waitress never asked how the food was. When we got our check our waitress literally placed a receipt on the table (no folder or anything). Overall a bleak experience. It's a shame because this place seems to have potential but definitely needs some TLC! read more

Went into red elephant last week with my husband and 2 small children for the first time for a late lunch. The food was good. Service was prompt and our waitress was friendly. Our server's attire, however, was distasteful. It's November. Our server's shorts (I'm honestly not sure they were actually shorts) were so tiny and thin I did a double take because at first glance I thought they were underwear. You could see every crevice, like she was not wearing clothing, just had paint on her bum. Beautiful girl; but between the attire, the overwhelming perfume, and heavy makeup, I thought I had mistakenly taken my young family to a "hooters" knockoff. I even looked up the website; nope, right there it confirmed it's a "family" restaurant. I'm not sure where the management is, but if this is normal attire I would not recommend taking your family, especially children. It cheapened the experience. She was a very good server and the food was tasty. I could get past the overwhelming perfume. The underwear-shorts were unnecessary. For that reason, we wouldn't go back. read more

I ate at the Red Elephant today with friends. The manager suggested the spaghetti, which he only occasionally makes. He mentioned that it was his mother's recipe. The spaghetti was unbelievably good. The sauce was rich and authentic Italian. If you're there and they offer it, get it and grab a second order to take home. You won't regret it. read more

Came in with a group of 12, seated immediately in the party room. Watch out for the waitress with red hair, did not ever get her name. Not sure if she was having a horrible day but she made sure our service was just as bad as her day! Had some sort of attitude when taking drink orders. When she took orders for food, we had 2 people ask to order a drink and she scoffed, rolled her eyes, did some sort of hand motion and ignored them completely. After taking everyone's order she finally circled back to the 2. She came in only to give us our food, checks, and boxes--no refills or check ins whatsoever. We really like the pizza here. So glad they ripped off Barnaby's pizza recipe. The service has always been excellent. The food outstanding. A little loud inside. very very casual. The only thing keeping it from a 5 is the inconsistent closing hours. After a long day, my GF and I were hoping to unwind and sit for a while . We got to the restaurant at 6pm on a Saturday , as soon as we got our pizza the waiter brought a check and said they were closing (6:30pm) I looked around and the restaurant that was full when we got there and it was now almost empty. I said "What's up" the waiter said " we had too many people call out on the evening shift so we have to close" . When we left we saw a little hand made sign in the window " Closing at 6:30pm Staff shortage" the sign wasn't there when we entered. It happened again two weeks later. Great food but I don't think it will be open to much longer due to either staff shortages or poor management. read more

Came here for lunch, but wasn't impressed at all. We have visited this restaurant quite a few times (including at other locations). When our kids were in elementary/middle school (they are adults now), we usually did the pizza, which was always pretty decent. This last visit was quite uneventful. My husband ordered onion rings for starters; he enjoyed them, but they were way too greasy for me; he also ordered the fried chicken salad, which he said was good. I ordered a salad and the black bean soup, which I sent back because it was so very bland; the cheese on the top couldn't even save it - and cheese usually makes everything taste better. :o). I ordered the tomato soup which had a good taste, but my bad for not knowing it would be overloaded with small tomato pieces (usually, tomato soup has no or minimal tomato pieces). Needless to say, I didn't finish the soup because all of the tomatoes were in the way. :o) Aside from the pizza, I have had the salmon entree and the rice bowls in the past, which were good. So, note to self - stick with those items and steer clear of the "soups." :o) read more

In my ongoing quest for best burger in town, this one places well. I wasn't really expecting it but there it was. My overall rating for this place is really just my burger rating. We have eaten there many times over the past few years while visiting my mother who lives nearby. Staff is very friendly and prompt - the owner has often been there working the floor and talking with customers. We like the variety of food, the lunch and happy hour specials. I like the grilled salmon and dolphin and the pasta yaya. Burgers are good too - and the fries!!! Will go there every time we visit my mother. read more

We grabbed lunch being on that side of town. Everything was very tasty. Not sure if it was the kitchen or service but our appetizer came out after our food, kid got the wrong meal and my salad came out without the chicken. That being said they quickly got the chicken and brought the right kids meal. Plus everything tasted good and fresh so it was all good. The ranch dressing was also delicious. read more

I have been to the Red Elephant recently, as well as many years ago. I think their strongest dish is their pizza by far. I have tried salads, wings, various favorite go-to greasy appetizers, and I still believe the pizza is the best. We recently came because my son received a free 6" pizza for good grades at his elementary school. My kids and I shared the onion rings (good) with a remoulade looking sauce. The sauce needed a bit more flavor, but the app was otherwise decent. I had the wings, and my oldest had the loaded fries. The personal pizza, although only cheese, was quite tasty. I will be back for sure, but it isn't a place I frequent regularly. The staff and wait staff are always friendly. read more

WORST experience in food I've ever had. The pizza was TERRIBLE, the so called Mediterranean Salad didn't have in fresh green Roman Lettuce, I ordered lemon pepper wings which weren't seasoned. We have been customers of Red Elephant pizza on a weekly basis since it's opening before 2000. The prior management wanted to make you happy. I don't know who the current management is but in the past year we have not been satisfied with the service or food and not one person (server or manager/asst. manager) has reached out to find out why. The food has gone up in cost and the quality has gone down, down, down. We are considering not going back after tonight's meal. My kids enjoy their kids meals and the game room. I am not a fan of their pizza. Reminds me of Barnaby's. I know people from Tallahassee enjoy this type of pizza, but it tastes nothing like NY Style Pizza. I do enjoy the Quartney Veggie Wrap and the Burgers. read more

Highly recommend! John, the owner was such a pleasure to work with. My first interaction with him was filling a pizza order for 168 sorority girls. Not only were the prices affordable, the giris were asking for another order. We called John that same day to place another order for the next day. He helped put together a catered meal consisting of variety of pasta dishes that would accommodate all our dietary needs from gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian. Again, the girls were raving over the food. We will definitely be calling Red Elephant again. Amazing food and such reasonable prices. read more

Definitely a restaurant in our family rotation. Our favorite appetizer is their hummus. Its is flavorful and the pita chips are delicious. I usually get the bbq chicken personal pizza. My daughters love the wings. I do wish their menu have a few more pasta options. I have never had their sandwiches but they look good. The service has generally been very good. Never really waiting long and checked on often. It is usually busy around dinner time, especially on the weekends. Being able to watch the games on their TVs is also very nice. We have eaten here many times with no problems. Today my Mom, Sister and Daughter ate here for lunch. I ordered a burger medium rare, with onion rings. It came well done, not a big problem, sent it back and next one was perfect, but the onion rings were a bit overdone, I asked for a fresh batch. Everyone at the table continued to eat, having a nice time. Then my sister who ordered the pasta YAYA found a short black curly hair attached to a piece of her pasta. That grossed us out and asked for manager. He came to our table declared we are having too many problems at our table and the hair was probably one of ours! We all have very grey hair, except my daughter who has extremely long brown hair. I was appalled, to be accused of planting a hair in her dish. The least he could do was apologize. We won't go there again, and I'd warn others of our experience. read more
