My wife and I had a delightful visit to Red Engine Brewing Company. Hailing from San Francisco and visiting family in Fillmore, we were eager to explore the new local craft beer scene, and REBC exceeded our expectations. Delicious beer (pints and generous 4 size samplers), great conversation with the owners and staff, and loved the welcoming neighborhood and family friendly vibe. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it had like 5 pieces of pepperoni...maybe 8. ‍It was also not cooked thoroughly. Lastly...I know it's a brewery, but what restaurant doesn't have non-alcoholic beverages? ‍ I feel discriminated! Congratulations on the new restaurant tho...seems like lots of people like it. I am not a Fillmore resident but I work in Fillmore. I stopped by Red Engine because I was curious about this place. Needless to say, I am impressed. The bartender was very attentive and the pizza that I ordered was of excellent quality. My only comment is that there was a little too much olive oil but overall it was very good. I definitely will return to Red Engine. Hopefully they will add some additional food items. read more

What a great find in Fillmore! Worth the drive out to visit this one of a kind brewery, no matter where you're from. Absolutely fantastic decor, (including an old fire truck parked inside!) and wonderful, friendly atmosphere. The beers are first class, everything from the El Jefe to the ale and you have GOT to try the coffee infused one (forgot the names). Staff is super friendly and helpful. We ordered 4 different pizzas the 2 times we visited, including the kim chi pork belly, pepperoni, margherita and veggie. The kim chi one is off the hook crazy good and pepperoni was excellent, as well. Veggie pizza was tasty, but (ironically perhaps) had too much veggies on it lol. We still ate it all. Got the buffalo wings and lemon pepper (?) and both were super yummy (just ask for them extra crispy). Really fantastic place my family, friends and I will visit whenever we are in the area. They have a lot of events which is so great for the community, just wish I lived closer. The hot country and Latin nights look soooo fun! read more

Been waiting for REBC to open and it is an amazing place to hang out and enjoy great beer. The service was excellent and everyone was extremely nice. The pizza was excellent as well tried the Kimchi Pork belly pizza and the carnivore. My buddy and I stayed there for about 3 hours and enjoyed every minute. Definitely recommend REBC!!!!! read more

Service was outstanding. Their employees were like fire fighters. Unfased by the amount of people and just did their jobs(cool calm and collective). The house IPA was smooth as could be and IBU is easily a 30-99. The fruitlands is an absolute must stay per my wife. Perfect fruit and even better sour taste. Bar NEEDS its own service. As in its own paying system. Bar customers shouldn't have to go back in line to order. Service should be provided directly to bar. Overall, pizza is a must try tomorrow and this bar will be a staple to Ventura county! phenomenal is an understatement and the beer could save a life! I did not like my experience there. Everything was slow bar service and to me service should be the most important thing or your guess or customers it was my first time and I found it to be kind of very disturbing that it took over 45 minutes to receive a pizza be got right away but the pizza I don't know the words to put it but without using language, it's not something out to any of my friends because my experience was not very joyful. PS if I do come back I wish it the service is a little bit better if I make it out there. read more

Have waited a long time for this place to open as it is right on my way home from work. Had the veggie pizza & it does not disappoint! Crispy, airy crust and chewy, juicy center. Tried the stout this time, but not as good as expected compared to real English/Irish stouts. Hopefully they'll have the El Jefe Mexican lager next time. And yes I will be back for more pizza. The service could be a little friendlier. I came from a company where the customer was supposed to have been acknowledged as soon as they walked through the door. I was ignored while the cashier waited on the guy ahead of me. Pretty cool ambiance except the place is noisy, probably due to the cement floor and high ceiling, and it's family friendly so there were little kids running around & yelling. read more

After a long day at Hurricane Harbor with my 10 year-old son and his friend, this was the perfect stop for pizza and a cold brewski for Dad. I tried to find it on this app to no avail, but this place has curb appeal. Flipped a U-ey as soon as I drove by. The service was excellent, and ambiance was perfect. The brewery is in a building that resembles a hangar--high ceilings and plenty of space. No loud music, just a very chill atmosphere. They just opened Dec 2023. Great decor! I am leaving a five star review because I think this new establishment has potential, but I do have some concerns: We had been looking forward to trying this new addition to Fillmore for quite some time. We love the idea of a local business, especially the firemen. We were first time customers tonight. It was a little confusing and loud. The person at purchase point did not seem happy to be there. No smile and seemed more interested in coworkers than the customers standing in front of them. We ordered and then sat at our table to wait for our text saying our order was ready. When we got the text we walked to the back for pickup and there was a birthday party going on in the reserved area. It took a few tries to figure out that the pickup station was around a small corner that is slightly hidden. The pizza was just sitting on the counter with no one there to greet us or tell us which one was ours. Then we realized the drinks were not at that area. Went back up front and was told slightly rudely that we were supposed to wait and pick them up when ordering. They let our drinks sit off to the side while we would have loved to have had our beer cold and fresh while waiting for our food. I wish they had been proactive and let us know our mistake. We got a flight of 4 beers that were all really good. Also a margherita pizza which was quite tasty but was a little too black on the bottom which had a slightly overpowering aftertaste. It was pretty good when hot but by the last few pieces the topping separated from the crust and was quite chewy. As for the atmosphere it was about the expected loudness due to the size of the room, high ceilings and concrete flooring. However, the bench seats make a grating sound when moved, like fingernails on a chalkboard. When we were getting ready to leave, we weren't sure if we should bus our own table, but since we had seen no service staff on the floor while eating, we looked around and saw the bins for the pizza pans by the food pickup area. But there did not appear to be any trash cans nearby for the paper plates and napkins; they were upfront by the entrance. Overall, I will likely try it again knowing how to navigate it as a returning customer. read more
