Had a nice time here after dinner. Just wanted to sample some of the beer selections. Place is open, but not very big. Kind of a stale environment mostly, but no biggie. The bartender was very helpful and efficient. We tried the Baltic Maple Porter and the Gladiator Doppelbock. Both were really good and smooth. The Baltic Maple though is easily top 3 best beers I've ever drank in my life. At 9.1% ABV it is dangerously delicious. There's only chips for sale I must also note. My husband and I discovered Enegren last week, on a warm, sunny, kid free afternoon. We were looking for somewhere to day drink- because let me tell you something - work has been wild lately, and a 11am beer was very much called for. Enegren is located in Moorpark, in a rather business/industrial looking street. Don't let the neighbors (including CHP and CalTrans) fool you, just continue to the very end of the road where you will be greeted by Enegren and their Alleyway, which they share with a wine bar, coffee shop, and food joint (we had their fried cheese curds ---highly recommended!). I tried their Schöner Tag and High St. Lager and enjoyed them both. Prices were very fair, and service was welcoming and friendly. They have a nice indoor area, as well as joint seating in the alley (it looks like it can get very sunny during the summer, but we found a nice shady spot). Regardless of where you sit you can watch the workers brew, and smell the hops. It was a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by for an hour or so. They also have a small reading nook, "take a book leave a book" free library, and several board games. read more

Yeah, it just kind of sucked because during the Fest I bought a drink for my boyfriend's brother with the souvenir glass... and had asked if at any point we can come back and fill the glass with any beer.... and they said "yes" so exciting!!! Disclaimer - I am not a beer drinker; that would be Dear Hubby in our family. That being said, we are so impressed with the local juggernaut that Energren is becoming. Their facility takes up a full side of "The Alley" on Zachary Street. They brew on premises, serving up German-style beer in a variety of flavors. They're also the hub of activities in The Alley, which includes live music every weekend. There are several bar areas inside Energren's space, with adjacent tables outside in the shared spaces. Their production facilities feature shiny storage tanks and numerous pallets of finished product ready to ship. It's serious business, with room for fun and festivities. This weekend (4/22 & 4/23/23), they're sponsoring Frühlingsfest, a German-style spring festival with many activities for the whole family. Enegren Brewing Company is the champion of holding stellar events and festivals. I'll give them that! As a brewery the host a few awesome big events throughout the year and are definitely known to deliver a fun packed day. The layout of Enegren I also like as they have plenty of seating and it's not stuffy. The alleyway to the brewery has a few shops so it's nice to grab a beer and to go for a little exploring. This spot has a nice open concept and the atmosphere is welcoming. I appreciate how organized they are for their events. We just came to their spring festival and they went all out. Again, super organized and reasonable prices. You didn't even have to pay to go in. They sold drink tokens which was smart and easy. The food stalls they also had were wonderful from pretzels to bratwurst. Their events have security hired and it just feels safe. I commend them for holding A+ events and festivals because they are definitely a notch above the rest. The bar staff and event staff are also super nice here. Not pretentious and all good vibes 100%. Felt welcomed and the vibes were right. The reason I dock a star is because genuinely I am not a big fan of their beers. It pains me to write that, as they are a brewery. But I had to agree with some of the other 3-4 star reviews I read about people just not being sold on their beers. I feel the same way. I've tried at least five different beers from Enegren and I thought they all were just "ok". I've even bought their beers from the supermarket and struggled to get through a pack. I don't find the flavors to work with my pallet but it's ironic because I drink all types of beers and don't feel like I'm that picky. All in all I'll continue to support Enegren when they host events and festivals as they do a damn good job. They go all out and provide a fun time. Also, they seem to be very family friendly. Having an amazing local brewery like Enegren makes me feel even luckier that we live in Moorpark. I can't believe such a great beer is around the corner ( and behind the Moorpark Police station :D) We love to support local businesses and don't drink garbage (such as Bud L!ght lol). I'm not that picky with beers and have tried just about every brew that Enegren has on tap since moving to Moorpark. If you're not picky like me, you'll love every brew that they have. They are made with excellent quality and all of the beers have an amazing taste. I'm no beer connoisseur, but everything tastes great to me. I haven't yet been disappointed with anything they made. I didn't care for their smoky tasting beer, but that's a personal taste, I could still stay the quality was excellent . Their pilsners are great, easily drinkable, and perfectly refreshing when it's a hot day. I love the Valkyrie (German style amber) and their Schoner-Tag (Hefeweizen). What's great is that they usually have a new beer every month to try- nothing wrong with that. The service is friendly, love that you can sample the beer before committing. The prices are excellent, and I love that you can buy a stein or a growler to take home, too. If I have time, I'll stop by here before coming home to buy their cans too, which can be found in a few local stores as well. You have to expect that even though Moorpark is a small town, it gets busy on weekends so the parking is limited, better walk or Uber anyway. It also shares the parking with other businesses in the alley. I have been coming to Enegren since it first opened in Moorpark! It's been a real honor to see it explode into a gorgeous, sprawling facility with so many delicious options. I tried some of their rotating beers in early December: The Caber Tosser wee heavy is like sweet, dark honey and the Nitro Valkyrie is smooth as can be. The Christmas Bock is toasty and hoppy, robust enough for Santa himself, and the Zappa Pils is extremely dank! They have cute stickers for 25 cents, and there's a lovely place across the Alley that serves pizza and salads, along with coffee and vanilla ice cream treats. Good brewery experience with Energen Brewing Company! For this brewery Steve and I had two different beers that we very much enjoyed having. The first beer was the Styrian Dragon. This was a hoppy pilsner that we really liked as it had a great biscuity flavor to it which asded to the ability it had to be wonderfully crushable! The Valkyrie was the next beer we had. This beer was an amber altbier which also was very good.This wonderful amber had a wonderful maltiness feature to it that really added to it's flavor. Very good beer from this brewery. This place is awesome! I am diggin' their location in the Alley, it makes me want to bring the kids next time I'm around. I've heard about Enegren and I am glad I got to finally try it. The brewery gave me San Diego brewery vibes where I fell in love with beer. I had to try their hefe but I was a little disappointed. It was a little too banana-y for my own liking. I'll give it another shot next time, I was thinking it was the weather that got me feeling picky. I did love the Valkyrie which is a German style amber. Chucking up the chefs kiss for that beer. Beeeer!! This is a fantastic brewery! Great variety of beer, fun place, friendly people and a couple of different environments with an industrial atmosphere. Their "lightest one" is very thirst quenching. Their Hefeweizen is very nice too and you can buy six packs of their beers to go. If you like darker beer I recommend the "Valkyrie". They also have beer flights and they can provide many combinations since they have at least 12 beers available at any given time.
