And it was at the Harmony Hotel that I first used Red Flower's offerings and came to love them. Sadly, they don't carry the mint and black pepper shampoo that I adored using after surfing in Costa Rica in their NoLIta store. But there's plenty of other sumptuously scented stuff here to browse and buy. The shop's warmly lit and staffed by well-educated and helpful staff. Where to begin... I love the idea of bathing from my travels around the world. Ive bathed in the hammans of Morocco, to the Japanese hot springs and Korean Bath Houses to name a few. When I entered this store it was like I had stepped back into time, and all the ingredients I only found during my trips were incorporated into this brand that shared the art of bathing. Red Flower has literally transformed my skin completely. Dear Red Flower, As a man, I don't understand aesthetic beauty, and I hate things that smell good. Even though nature and pretty things make me uncomfortable and mad at the world, I walked into Red Flower and fell in love with the candles (but not romantic love because I'm not capable of that due to my Y chromosome). The natural gardenia scent is like a spring morning, lasts forever, and exudes its sweet smell across my apartment, even when I'm not burning the candle. It's great that it covers up the unwashed dishes/dirty sock smell of my awesome bachelor pad. I stopped by after being drawn in by the moroccan rose candles burning inside (so strong you can smell it outside). The employee,Mima, inside was so extremely helpful and I loved that I was encouraged to try everything; I basically had a mini spa experiece. I was smitten with the fact that all the products were based on essential oils and the science of aromatherapy. I ended up getting a blood orange body scrub and lotion for a total of $67; the blood orange is re-energizing and the lotion is extremely hydrating. Amazing customer experience! Being a guy Red Flower isn't really a place that I shop in for myself. That being said my wife loves this place. I've done some time sitting on their couch waiting for her as she works her way through the tiny space. The candles smell great and the shop is always warm, friendly and beckoning. I've found the staff extremely friendly and they must be extremely knowing of their product line as my wife is a somewhat demanding consumer who always has a mouthful of questions and she always leaves satisfied with her purchase. I highly recommend Red Flower if you want to find a nice gift. read more

Awesome store with great service! Credo next door sells their candles, and when it mentioned that Red Flower was next to it, I just HAD to stop by. I'm glad I did! The sales staff (I wish I had gotten her name!) was great to show me Red Flower's products. There was no pressure at all to making a purchase, which probably sparked my interest in more products. The ambiance is awesome, very vintage. I left with a body scrub and home diffusers, but I fell in love with the vintage sink. I love how their products are cruelty free (if it's meant for humans, why test it on animals!), and it's botanical based. read more

Haven't yet visited the actual brick and mortar shop, but have ordered from red flower online. My favorite is the icelandic moonflower- a delicious, almost mouthwatering scent that is balanced by an overall floral frame. The hair wash and conditioner serve a dual purpose as a hair scent, as the smell lasts for days (Yippee!). read more

I wear Champa, their perfume, religiously. But I honestly find all of their sublime scents as appealing as the fact that they are USDA certified organic! My experience at the boutique was made even more positive by the friendly and knowledgeable staff - Sarah was exceptional. Red Flower shame on you. YOU STINK!, and not in a good way. Don't know who runs the show there, but it was one of those experiences where nobody knew anything and everyone kept passing the buck. Finally spoke a woman named Karen and tried to open a wholesale account after being in business for 20 plus years incorporating their products to a new line. Well, got the run around, empty promises,no response, utterly disrespectful in a passive aggressive way. Have NEVER EVER dealt with a "business" like this in all my years. Business must be too good for them because they just didn't care. Gave them everything except my blood type. Take your business elsewhere. There are a lot of better products out there and they're priced much better, and you will actually be a valued customer. read more

So I am just a little bit obsessed with this company. I have been ordering their products online for the past four years and finally got the opportunity to visit their store on a trip to New York City. First of all, I love the whole vibe of the company - all natural, super conscious of sustainability and the environment, and everything smells and feels amazing. (Highly recommend their whole "Nature" line which as saved my skin!) But going to the store just solidified my obsession. Two girls there were so cool that I wanted them to be my friends. They gave me the royal treatment and helped me find a bunch of gifts for people, which were all hits with my friends and family. And the store itself is an architectural gem, including a "man couch" for my poor husband who I had dragged around all day. It was a FUN experience. Definitely worth it! read more
