Went here a second time to have dinner with friends! Just an average place that tries to do too many things and succeeds at being good at nothing. I ordered a bento box dinner - decently priced at 14.00 dollars but food was just average. My boyfriend and I were in the area and wanted to eat some Asian food. The inside is cute, but the staff is not welcoming like another review said. Our server was sweet but she was impatient. Even my boyfriend questioned what was the rush? (It did not seem so busy in there). The energy of the entire staff was very negative. The calamari was unseasoned and rubbery to the bite. Our server caught me seasoning it with pepper and mistaken it for salt and laughed saying I liked a lot of salt. The food wasn't seasoned. Food came out quick as ready not everything at once. I got the general Taos tofu and it will last me 3 meals. They also bring little wonton to the table before your food comes. With a super diverse menu everyone can find something here .. vegan, curry, kids, basic American Chinese, spicy, etc. The best part about this find is how close it is to Duluth arena making it very very easy to get to a show right after as it's literally across the street with one traffic light to get there. read more

So good! We got takeout/catering for a number of dishes and they packed it in a giant box that kept everything warm for hours! We ate it ~3-4 hours after pickup and it was still warm! It came with soy sauce and fortune cookies. The dishes had sauces separately from the entree so you could mix right before serving which was great, kept it very fresh! We got the eggplant - very tasty but a bit oily. The sesame tofu and general Tao's tofu was very good, the tofu was fried. The orange chicken was my favorite - a WAY better version vs Panda Express. To the owners: I've added the Wiki page on what Pad Thai is - dry stir fried noodles cooked in a wok - it should not look like a noodle soup in a takeout container. There was so much soup and tasted so sour that it was basically rancid and inedible. Straight up killed our appetite. We even attempted to re-heat on a pan with 2 big spoonfuls of peanut butter and a bit of fish sauce to cover whatever liquid you decided to drench this noodle in. Nothing could save this abomination. There's a lot of options to choose from, and unfortunately I can't remember the name of the sushi roll that I got but it was fresh and super tasty! They have a large menu, including Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisine. In addition to the sushi we ordered General Tso shrimp and chicken, as well as sweet and sour chicken to go. I was soo full from my sushi that I did not get to enjoy my General Tso shrimp until the next day. The shrimp, unlike the chicken, comes with the sauce separate. Which was perfect for me, because my food wasn't soggy! The sauce was flavorful and had the right amount of spice! Now. My husband, is a General Tso snob and requested the white meat chicken instead of the dark meat that it comes with. Unfortunately my husband didn't like the texture of the chicken, stating it was rubbery. He did say the sauce had a good flavor. This is in a strip with Panera Bread and Smoothie King., in the Kroger parking lot. Nicely decorated with a sushi bar section with 2 TVs. They play a radio station that you wouldn't expect with the atmosphere The menu is quite extensive- Chinese, Thai and Japanese and lots of sushi. The give you chow mein noodles to punch on while you wait. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was average, would have expected a little better since we were the only table during that time. They serve Coke Zero. Excellent restaurant along sugarloaf parkway. The crab Rangoon filling was a bit small but tasted great. The vegetable dumpling was pan fried and crisp. For the main course I had pad Thai with pork and it tasted great with a huge portion size for a very reasonable price. I normally find a lot of Thai places don't do pork well, but it tasted fantastic being juicy and full of flavor. Great food and excellent service! This was my first time eating here and I liked it! We came here on a Sunday around 6 pm. There wasn't a line so we were seated fast. We ordered a variety of dishes. Noodles and chicken, beef with vegetables, egg foo young ( shrimp and vegetables), steamed vegetables with chicken and steamed vegetables with rice, and TSO chicken. EVERYONE loved their dish. I had the fillet and rice and vegetables meal clearly not fillet some sort of sirloin very tough. Very chewy some not even edible Service was good and the people were friendly. The layout is a little cramped in some spaces but still functional. Some of the group had a good meal, but the rest of us were not very pleased with the quality of the food. They have a online website where you can place your order and pay for it, no need to make a phone call. I have been to many Asian fusion restaurants, and this one ranks high for me. The fried rice is delicious, and the soups they have, such as the hot & sour soup is also delicious! They take their spicy options serious, so if you see a dish that says its spicy be warned! I have always ordered takeout from Red Ginger and it's always been a nice experience. I decided to dine in finally and am not planning to spend any of my money here again. Service was ok while dining. The waitress seemed very rushed, even though there were only 4 other tables other than myself at the time (there was one other waitress working). Every time she came to my table it was like she was walking while talking to me and kept walking as I spoke. After my food came she hurried away before I was able to ask for more plastic ware so I made sure to stop her by saying, "excuse me", to which she replied, "what do you want"? This is never ok. She promptly apologized after I educated her on how that is super rude to question a customer that way but in this climate - that is never ok and the food isn't that good for me to return. This is my third time dining at Red Ginger, and to be extremely honest, it's just OK. It's your run of the mill Asian fusion spot. There are some decent dishes and there are some that lack well-rounded flavor. During my most recent visit, I had the Kung pao tofu dish and although it looked amazing, the only thing I really tasted was an extreme level of heat (which I did not request). I normally like spicy things, but this was just next level. The texture of the tofu was pretty good, but the veggies tasted kind of boiled and not very fresh. It was also missing peanuts which one usually expects with Kung pao dishes. Overall, I would recommend one of the other nearby delicious Asian fusion restaurants. read more

I'm expecting for one and wanting nothing but Asian and meat lol My mom graduated college this weekend and she decided on a vegan place and thai has all those options. Location Perfect! If you are in Duluth it's in a shopping center with great parking. Staff Again the hostess that served us had impeccable service. From beginning to end she was there meeting every single need and dietary problem we through at her lol Atmosphere It was really nice and classic inside. We chose to sit outside and it would have been great minus the smokers at other restaurants but in honesty to the restaurant it's no fault of theirs. Food Food was really good! I mean really good. I couldn't even decide on what I actually wanted. The soups were perfect and I had a bento bowl so it worked out well. No complaints. Overall it was a fantastic experience down to the ice cream on the house to help her celebrate and being in her graduation right. Can't wait to go back. When of course I'm in Duluth lol read more
