Ive been a regular here recently! I think I came here at least once a week the past month haha. Their food is amazing quality! But most importantly I come here for their happy hour oysters 2-6pm! The oysters are sooo tasty and honestly really big! So if youre a huge oyster fan please come here for them! I also love the service here so amazing!!

Korean style Japanese restaurant on Peachtree Industrial in Duluth. Big interior with lots of seating. Seems great for large groups with a lot of big tables. Waiters were all friendly and quick. Food was just okay. Sushi and sashimi dishes were decent but I'd say there's much better sushi and sashimi places in the area for better price. Don't order the oysters though. There was happy hour from 3-6pm, oysters were huge, but they tasted terrible. I'm not picky about oysters, but they tasted rubbery and the fishy taste in my mouth would not go away for a while. Thank goodness we only ordered the half dozen. My husband ended up spitting them out. Hopefully the oysters were just bad that day. The happy hour prices were great. FYI, this place is not kid friendly. They have one booster seat for the whole restaurant and no high chairs. They only have glass cups for water. Not sure if I'll visit again unfortunately.

Fresh ingredients, flavors very well balanced, and great price! Lots of seating here. Everything we ate was super delicious The rolls aren't overwhelmed with rice and is actually packed with fish The sashimi was all fresh and nothing tasted old or fishy. I would def come back if I'm having another sushi night craving. parking might get a little tight if the bars and businesses that share the lot get busy. the aesthetic inside the restaurant is very christmas feelings service was all really good and they were quick about bringing extra things I asked for such as more wasabi or more ginger

What a treat! Oystra is a hidden gem but the food is a delight. It walks the delicate balance of Korean style Japanese food and authentic Japanese food. I'd definitely recommend coming hungry as you'll see an assortment of things that will leave you stuffed! All in all, I thought the quality of the fish, the level of presentation, and the caliber of service is one of the best in the area. If you're not up for the traditional Korean-style sushi but a more eclectic type of meal, I'd definitely recommend Oystra.

Good portion for the the pricing. Food was good. Service is decent. Spacious and clean.

This was our first time here. We were really surprised by the freshness of the selection. Definitely deserve a revisit.

Best fish qualify in Atlanta. Ever since japan, sushi has never been the same. The quality in Atlanta is just so bad. Until we tried Oystra. Their menu is great. We always get the sashimi deluxe and some rolls. When we have 3-4 people we would get 2 set of the omakase since it's too much food and we can never finish it. The servers are always super nice. Only thing I wish is that they were closer on pleasant hill, and places like Haru ichiban wouldn't be able to compete with them.

Great oysters and lunch specials. The oysters were a nice size. The sushi rolls were fresh. We tried the yummi yummi, spicy yellowtail, and the crunch salmon. The yummi yummi was my favorite. Service was good. They have a nice sake collection. The house cold sake was smooth.

Came to Oystra with a friend for lunch. Neither one of us have been here. Upon walking in was greeted and sat immediately. The restaurant is very cute inside looks quaint and small, but there is another room in the back. I let my friend order our appetizer because I told her I did not raw salmon because it was too chewy & fishy. Well turns out that's not even what it's supposed to taste like and I must've had a bad experience. She ordered the Nigri we got the salmon, salmon, belly, and tuna. Every single one of those were absolutely delicious and so fresh! The sushi chef even came over and said they switch out the fish every two days, I would definitely try any one of those again. In between our appetizer and entrée, we got some banchan, which consisted of bean sprouts, cucumbers, radish I think, and I'm not sure what the last one was but they were all great. For our lunch entrée (I had planned on getting Ramen but we never made it past our sushi rolls for the rolls) we got the aloha roll and the Spider-Man that Spider-Man role is pretty big and it took two bites to eat which is not a bad thing. It was absolutely delicious and flavorful , the aloha roll was great as well. I liked the taste of the spicy tuna. After we were done eating, the waitress bought us a little tray of desserts to share. One of the desserts tasted like a little fruit parfait. The other two things were a chocolate macaroon, and I believe a sweet bun filled with cream. All in all we had a great experience I really enjoyed my service and food, and would definitely come back or recommend.

Had lunch here when I was in the area. The food was good and service was nice. It's quiet at lunch, but I would come back for dinner if I am in the area. The lunch box is a good deal too.

Food was excellent! All the food was very tasty. The sushi and sashimi was very fresh and yummy! The service is always on point here. This I'd my 2nd time here and love it. The ambiance is really nice and very clean. I will definitely be back again when I can. Whoever has not tried oystra sushi yet you are definitely missing out. Come give the food a try you will definitely not be disappointed!

I've came here many times and this is my go to spot for sushi! Today we tried the Kobe beef combo and it was amazing. $50 for multiple slices. My favorite roll today was the Oystra roll! Attached some pictures of the meal we had today. I think they also recently changed their menu, love the cute little menu book. The Kobe beef set also came with many items such as tempura, salmon, salad and a miso soup. We also got a baked salmon roll and it was definitely my favorite. Overall, I will come back here to get my sushi fix.

Aji Katsu in Suwanee, GA Japanese Tonkatsu & Ramen Spot…read more I am just not a big fan of the sweet flavor in Japanese cuisine. Aji Katsu does have some similar flavors in Japan. Shrimp Curry Udon - Classic Japanese curry: slightly sweet, super rich, and bold. Sauce coats every udon perfectly. Shrimp tempura a bit over-fried, slightly chewy, but tonkatsu-style breadcrumbs gave it a nice crunch. 8.5/10 Yakisoba - Generous portion for the price! Sauce has that tangy, fruity flavor I remember from Tokyo. Beef lightly seasoned. Personally, tangy noodles aren't my favorite, but Tokyo street-style lovers will enjoy. 8/10 Hibachi (Hambāgu) - Grilled Japanese hamburger steak, fried rice, sautéed veggies. Meat tender, veggies had a hint of truffle seasoning. Sweet teriyaki glaze not my favorite. 7/10 Bingsu - Red beans + condensed milk. Small size perfect for 2. Sweet, creamy, refreshing. 9/10

Initially, entering the store was a bit off. The hostess didn't speak to me for about two minutes; she'd made the assumption I was with another party getting a pick up order. But after that was resolved, I was seated quickly. The store layout was nice; big booths with tall sides for privacy. I'm not sure if I liked how all their chopsticks were in a container you pulled from the table but overall a small detail. I did really like getting ice cold water and the metal carafe they provided kept the ice out of the drink. I went for their Aji Ramen and got the $10 3 handroll add on. My choices were unagi, toro, and spicy tuna. Shockingly they didn't have any spicy tuna do I chose a salmon instead. The hand rolls came out first and a pair of scissors were also provided if I wanted to cut them myself. Here are my thoughts: Toro - surprisingly bland. There wasn't the feeling of rich fatness that I expect with it though to be fair I am comparing this to a far higher end omakase experience. Needless to say, I wouldn't chose this again. Salmon - surprisingly good. This ended up being my favorite of the three. The salmon was nice and fresh and the soy sauce and wasabi made for tasty savor bites. Unagi - also good. I'm a sucker for eel. Because of the ponzu sauce, there's no need for soy sauce. I made a mistake of dipping a piece that I cut from the handroll and it was way too salty. Eaten as is, it was just what I expected Aji Ramen - a solid bowl of ramen. I was very pleased with the full egg and also the chashu pork. I don't know if I recall the bean sprouts but at $14, this was kind of a steal in terms of bang for buck. Plenty of food even by itself. All in all, I liked Aji-Katsu. I don't think I'd travel for it but if I was in the area and in the mood I would stop in again.

Yumee Katsu is a modern-style katsu spot, and overall, the food is tasty even though I've definitely enjoyed some dishes more than others. You get a couple of pieces of shrimp tempura, fish katsu, and pork & cheese katsu, plus the option to add a small side of udon or soba noodles. The fish katsu is light and flavorful, and the pork with cheese is a full-on cheese pull party. I also really enjoy their salad dressing and the dipping sauces that come with the donkatsu and fish katsu- they add a lot to the meal. What sets Ouzen…read moreapart from some of the other katsu spots around is their technique - the katsu is breaded with homemade breadcrumbs made in house, and have a few different options for crumbs, including their signature Kurogoma Fillet katsu which is breaded with black sesame crumbs. Pork itself is good, the cutlet itself tastes like real pork cutlet and not like a pork cutlet esque paste. Katsu curry was solid, and comes with a good amount of rice and katsu. Cheese katsu is a highlight also, probably the best we have had around here. The cheese is extremely gooey so it can be a handful to eat as the cheese stretches everywhere, but the initial pull? Amazing The main plates come with a cabbage salad with a sauce bottle to pour over, rice, miso soup, a bunch of pickles, a special hot pepper pesto, other sauces to dip, and a Vietnamese chili powder which is extraordinarily spicy. We were warned by the server first. The restaurant is small and was exceptionally busy, at lunchtime on a Saturday multiple groups had to wait for a table. They have a disclaimer out front due to the cooking technique that the service would be slow and it unfortunately is, we had finished our meal before the table next to us got their food, and they came in around when we had ordered. Seems like the kinks are still being worked out but they were also quite busy at the time. Ample parking out front but there is a fairly sizable dip in the road outside the shop. Service is great, and the staff do a good job explaining the menu and walking you through it if it is your first time. Menus and service in both English and Korean. Nothing super special but not bad - chicken katsu: fresh chicken tender breaded with in house butter bread crumbs. Was more moist and tender compared to the pork so would get this over the pork options - shrimp katsu: 1 black and 1 white shrimp, this was really good! Just $3.99 per piece - soba noodles: chilled buckwheat noodles with homemade tsuyu sauce. Comes with wasabi, grated radish. The sauce is a bit bland and required a lot of wasabi. For all the katsu, you do get a bowl of white rice, a salad and dressing (the dressing was tangy and delicious) as well as some pickled sides and salt + katsu sauce for dipping. Outstanding ramen, incredible fresh noodles, and excellent service from Aaliyah…read more Okiboru Ramen Takumen in Duluth was absolutely worth the visit, and honestly, I'm just mad at myself for not trying it sooner. I started with the Okiboru buns (chicken and pork) the crispy gyoza, and the garlic nori fries. All three were a great start to the meal. The buns were soft and fluffy, and the pork bun worked really well with the garlic aioli, soy glaze, and pickled cucumber. The chicken one was good too but the pork one beats it on flavor. The gyoza had a nice crisp to them and came with a shoyu dipping sauce that tied everything together well. The garlic nori fries were also really good, crispy and well seasoned, and a fun side to snack on between everything else along with the garlic sauce to dip your fries in. For my main dish, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which comes with rich pork broth, pork chashu, half a soft boiled egg, scallions, and thin Hakata noodles. I also added the thick noodle refill on the side, and I'm glad I did because both noodles were excellent in different ways. The biggest standout here was the noodle quality. You can tell immediately that these are fresh noodles because the texture is just on another level. The thin noodles were fantastic and worked perfectly with the tonkotsu broth, but the thick noodles were incredible too. It's one of those meals where after the first bite you immediately understand why people talk about fresh noodles the way they do. The broth itself was rich, flavorful, and comforting without feeling overly heavy, and the pork in the ramen was very good too. Service was also a big part of why this visit stood out. Aaliyah was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she did a great job making the whole experience feel comfortable from the start. Good food is one thing, but good service is a huge part of what makes people want to come back, and she absolutely deserves a shoutout. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I was dining solo, so I sat at a smaller table, but they also have booths and larger middle tables that look like they'd work well for bigger groups. Food came out pretty quickly, and parking was easy since it's in a shopping center. And of course, everything got washed down with a Coke Zero. Not fountain, just canned, but it still hit the spot. This was an excellent meal from start to finish. Great appetizers, outstanding ramen, truly impressive noodles, and service that made the whole visit even better. I'll definitely be back.

My boyfriend ordered the truffle shoyu ramen and also found it to be underwhelming. The ambiance has also changed since my last visit. They've replaced the middle bar area with more tables and painted over the previously drawn-on walls. The space feels noticeably darker now and lacks some of the character it once had.
