Ok, so I haven't been going to church in a while, and I'm not a Lutheran, either, but I came here last month for a baptism. It seems A-OK as far as churches go. There weren't any scary rituals or anything, so that's always nice when visiting a new church. Also, I've never seen a church with flat-screen TVs, but like I said, it has been a while... Pastor Tom (who I hear is no longer at this church) was both friendly and a good speaker, but he did make it feel a little awkward after he preemptively scolded everyone about cameras and cell phones. read more

This preschool charges tuition for two months up front and says there is NO refund. Even the lowest rated fitness clubs don't do that. This evil church school took 840 dollars from us. I have a feeling that these people are more focused on money than caring for kids. If parents don't volunteer certain set hours, you have to pay extra for not volunteering, which adds hundreds of dollars to the total cost. Their greediness starts with a very high registration fee, which is more than 300 dollars. Of course, this is not refundable too!! This school seems to focus more on brain washing your kids about jesus and god than any other faith based schools. It is too much for little ones. I would stay away if you want to protect your hard earned money from this money hungry school. If there is god, I pray that it does NOT bless this school! read more

We absolutely LOVE this school. Our two oldest kids go to RHLS preschool 2 days/week. We love this school for a million reasons, but a few include: * the admissions process led by Lori Browne is impeccable, familial, clear, and streamlined. * the teachers are remarkable - totally kid people but great with parents. * the communication is thorough - we hear from each kids' classroom every week with newsletters, updates, and needs. * the school's leadership is humble, capable, friendly, warm, and loving. * the classrooms and school property are clean, well kept, safe, and current. * the parent involvement is requested, required and important. We seriously couldn't love RHLS more. We hope our kids will be there for a long time. read more

We love the school here! It's a good education and a great, safe school! Student's get a well-rounded education with music, STEM, foreign language, a learning garden, performing arts, sports and bible integration. What makes us "love" the school is how attentive and mentoring the teachers and staff are. They really get to know the students and it creates a very healthy, nurturing environment for our kids. They take the time to know my daughter and guide her -its very comforting as a parent. I like the open communication with her teachers. All 3 years they have consistently been supportive and attentive to any school or personal challenges I'm trying to resolve or I just want to make them aware of. They are very caring teachers. They are also very professional, good at what they do , and command respect from the students! The parent environment is great here too. I haven't seen any "clicks." Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I'm grateful Red Hill also encourages parent participation and welcomes our involvement in the school. RHLS is a fabulous place for kids to grow up at and to go to school. We'll be here through 8th grade! We go to another church, but I wanted to mention I've met Pastor Seth many times and we think he's great! read more

I struggled to send my 2 boys to this school years ago and it was worth every dollar. They are now grown men and both have a heart for God and are awesome men. Who knows if that would have happened if they hadn't been exposed to Gods word and love each day in their education. Susie S read more

We absolutely love this school! Our daughter has been there since preschool and our other daughter will attend as well. I personally have loved each teacher she has had. For us, we have found nothing BUT caring and nurturing teachers and staff here. I suppose no school is 100 percent safe but I am very confident here. The gates are locked during the school day and you must enter and check in with the front office. We have never regretted choosing RHLS. read more

Love this school! The small class sizes, excellent academics, passionate teachers and spiritual development make this school fantastic! I have four children at the school and could not be more pleased with their growth. I am blessed to have bright children and RHLS has made every effort to ensure that they are challenged. We love Red Hill Lutheran School!! Our son has been attending this school since kindergarten. We love the SMALL sized classrooms which adds to MORE attention to each child's learning and development. Great teachers and office staff but LOTS of staff and student turnover. Principal is less than professional and creates an unstable and unfriendly environment. Constant talk of UNhappiness and disappointment among families and overall morale is LOW. Sad situation among those still there - we left :) read more

My kids have attended from K-8th grade. We especially love the teachers, very qualified as teachers and wonderful adult role models for my children. They have built up my kids' confidence, leadership skills and personal relationship with Jesus while challenging them academically. Wouldn't send my children anywhere else! read more

I can and do recommend RHLS to family, friends and anyone looking for a positive Christian environment to get an education. For 3 years the principal, pastor and teachers have always been available in person and email anytime we have wanted to discuss education, or church. The front office is friendly and efficient. Mrs Lori Browne is the kindest, most helpful lady on the planet. Every morning we are greeted by smiling teachers who wish us a good day. The class sizes are small so kids get to know teachers and classmates well. The schools acceptance that God made us all different has made for a kind and understanding environment. There is a good amount of school spirit and pride K-8. There was an absence of school pride and spirit when our older child went to public middle school in Tustin. At RHLS the children want to attend school events. Our child is very happy at RHLS. We feel blessed he can attend this school. read more

The preschool is not accredited and the teachers are not very highly qualified or nurturing at all. The program is very baby'ish and a intelligent, inquiring child will be easily bored. Communication is a nightmare and the preschool director is scary at times. read more

We have sent our granddaughter to this school from preschool to third grade). She is so happy at the school (everyone knows everyone, the staff and older students watch out for and talk with the younger children--it's the most friendly and caring school I have ever experienced). We will keep her in the school through the 8th grade because they focus on obedience, respect for adults and others, caring for others, do your best and all the characteristics we value which will give her a solid foundation for high school and the rest of her life. My husband is a policeman and he says going to this school to do a program or interact with the children is a pleasure versus going to many other schools where it is difficult to get the kids to be quiet, listen, stop running around, etc. The academics are amazing. I can't believe how well she reads and writes, she's doing complex math problems (in 3rd grade!), and she loves science. The music and performing arts classes and productions have given her a love of music (she knows the words to so many songs--old and new) and performing arts (she loves to create skits and plays). The "Meet the Masters" program introduces them to the works of artists like Picasso and Monet. She can safely search the Internet, use Power Point and many other computer programs thanks to the computer lab classes. She's learning Spanish in the Spanish class (and uses it!). Every room has a smart board that connects to a computer controlled by the teacher or student for interactive learning, IPADs, etc. They have several inter-school sports programs, cheerleading, etc. Field trips and the students' school vegetable garden reinforce what they are learning in the classroom. I've seen some reviews say security is lacking. The school is gated and you have to enter through the office in view of the staff. I'm greeted every time I go through the office. If someone was not known, I'm sure they would be stopped. You have to be registered by the parents or guardian to pick up a child. We will be sending our 2 year old grandson as soon as he is old enough and he will be there though 8th grade as well! read more

My family absolutely loves this school. We started my daughter there in preschool when she was 3. The intent was to go through kindergarten at most. We quickly became very attached and my daughter in now entering the 6th grade. She will continue at RHLS through 8th grade. I know that we will shed tears when she has to go. The environment at RHLS is so nurturing and the education is excellent. Her grades and test scores reflect the high quality education she is getting at this school. I am so proud of her and her accomplishments and growth as guided by RHLS. Over the years we have developed great relationships with all the people at the school. When I lost my father in law a few years ago, there was no where else we would have considered having the services nor anyone else we would have considered holding the services. Pastor Seth was so supportive and caring. Additionally, Principal Jordan has been so wonderful and supportive through the years. She is always there to lend an ear and I truly have come to feel I am speaking to a supportive friend. Lori Browne, Director of Admissions, is an absolute gem! Even during the summer she/the school took time to organize get togethers so that returning and "new" students could get to know one another and have a smooth transition into middle school. We absolutely adore her! Communication? Talk about amazing communication! Throughout the years it has not been uncommon to get emails during the day with little comments about what is going on in the classroom and/or something special that my daughter has said or done. They truly care about each and every student. When I am on campus, I am confident that just about everyone knows exactly who I am and who my child is. They really pay attention and take the time to know each and every face. It's amazing! I could go on and on about each member of the office staff as well as teachers and custodians, youth pastor, etc. etc. etc. We are truly blessed to be part of the Red Hill Family. Thank you! read more
