My wife and I were out on our date night, and we decided to treat ourselves a little bit and head to Filberts Farmhouse Kitchen. This would be my first stop here and won't be the last. We were taken to our table, which unfortunately was right next to the window on this hot day. That would be our one negative experience at Filberts as it got extremely warm. We ending starting out with the Black Mission Fig Flat Bread. This is black mission figs, goat cheese, a balsamic glaze, diced hazelnuts, bacon, onion marmalade, with herb cream cheese on flat bread. This tasted outstanding! I was pushing for the Steelhead Terrine, but my wife won and the black mission fig flat bread did not disappoint. My wife went with the Mac and Cheese and added prawns. This is tossed with a creamy three cheese sauce, capicola ham, chives, and parmesan cheese. She loved this! I almost ended up having steelhead as you don't see it on the menu much, but I'm a sucker for good Fish and Chips. After looking on Yelp, I knew this is what I would have to get. This is four pieces of crispy beer battered cod, with coleslaw and tartar sauce. I will say this was incredible. I'm always a little nervous when I see a beer batter, just because I don't like when there's a huge layer of greasy beer batter and you lose the flavor of the fish. This was not the case. The batter was light and crispy with not a drop of grease. The cod was fresh, fried perfectly, and pure white. The fries were prepared perfectly as well. If you're a fan of Fish and Chips, just order this. You'll be happy you did. Overall, the food really tasted exceptional. Our service was great as well. Like I said earlier, our only complaint was being seated next to the window on a hot day. However, I would come back if I had to sit in the same place. Well done Filberts Farmhouse Kitcken! I can't to try other items on the menu.

What a great spot in Aurora! I've had the burger and meatloaf and a few apps. Highly recommend the cornbread! Staff is always friendly and this town is just too dang cute

This was a fabulous find. We only had time for drinks and a quick bite and wished we could have returned for a full meal. The filbert-infused bourbon was a huge hit. Ambiance is really nice and the service was great. I hope to come back here when I'm in the area!

Had a solo meal on a busy afternoon. The management and service made up for my last adventure here. Had the chicken and Dumplings on recommendation. They were really good. I would eat them everyday if I could. It's a large place with seating in various areas. My fave seating is in the bar area. Cozy.

This place is really quaint and lovely. We sat outside, took in the fresh air and the beautiful scenery. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Great place to grab brunch or lunch and then go antique shopping.

Filberts farmhouse kitchen in located in aurora Oregon near their antiques district. Filberts is in the sweetest historic farmhouse surrounded by beautiful grounds. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as event space. I would and they would recommend having a reservation as space is limited. The food came out a bit slow, but sounds like they had some staffing issues in this day. I loved the bread pudding, and deviled eggs. The strawberry shortcake had a bizzare artificial strawberry flavor. To me this is an appetizer and desert spot! The entrees were good not great for the price. We will definitely be back to try some of their other offerings!

We just had a negative experience at this place. We arrived at 12:30 and were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. I gave her my number (as requested) and we went outside to wait. We came back 25 minutes later and the same hostess who took our name said "its now a two hour wait." After some questions she repeated that "it will be two hours, so if we want to wait, there will be a table open." After we expressed disappointment, she offered bar stools. We were given a time to wait. We waited. Then we were told it would be two more hours. When we questioned her about what happened, she said a table stayed longer than anticipated. Hence the two hour delay. She offered nothing to make up for the 30 minutes turning into two hours. Knowing that nobody would stay for two hours, there was no choice but to leave. Negative experience. Won't be returning.

First experience at Filberts Farmhouse. Service was excellent, setting is quaint. However the room we were in was quite active with noise from patrons and the kitchen. Food was good. Menu has a nice variety of items with large portions (some of us split). There were 8 of us so we experienced a variety of the items including chicken and dumplings, meatloaf and burger. I will definitely be back if in the area.

This place is great if you are elderly or do not have kids. They are not set up to accommodate kids AT ALL. The hostess was very rude and there is a sense of elitism. The food was decent but we felt so rushed. The experience was chaotic at best

A recommendation by my dad when we were getting together for lunch and it did not disappoint. The service was great, the dining room was full on a Saturday but not overly loud and the fish and chips were great. Perfect balance of breading to fish and fried to be nice a light (yes, I just said fried nice and light). They are known for their bread pudding, and while I am not a fan, there was a fan at the table and he enjoyed every bite. I recommend making reservations, but you should definitely give it a try.

Here's one of the things I love about The 649. They have a fantastic selection of mocktails that are created with the same creativity, flair, and intention as a "leaded" cocktail. I appreciate that I get to participate and not be stuck with a lemonade, zero alcohol beer, or wine. So, HUZZAH for creating an inviting space for a non-drinker! There *are* times when I'm willing to risk the lobster-bod, itchiness, and stuffy nose and there are plenty of cocktails from which to choose! [Food] There's a nice selection of sharable plates and mains. I've personally tried the flatbread pizza, Bavarian pretzel, Cubano, and Brisket Press, all of which were delish. [Service] The service has always been fabulous. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. [Activities] There are a few TVs around the bar with sports. It was a great place to catch some of the World Cup games. Additionally, there are several games that you can borrow and play, which is a lot of fun. Because it's somewhat hidden in the corner of a Safeway shopping plaza. Look for the Baskin Robbins or Wells Fargo ATM and your find it. Like other reviews, when busy, parking can be a bit horrendous. But in hindsight, I'm not gonna reduce a star just because of location. * Bar Food Menu & Dining * Their menu starts with shareable bites, like a pretzel, tacos, quesadilla, loaded nachos, and even a charcuterie plate. Slightly larger dishes would be their Cubano and Brisket Press sandwiches. They even have a few choices for soup and salads, and a couple of dessert items listed. Don't forget to check the chalkboard next to the bar for specialty dishes and drinks. As for dining-in, they've got sturdy wooden tables that can accommodate 4-8 people. Bar stools by the windows, and a fairly large outside patio area. And with the times I've been here, I've never seen a dirty table. Very well maintained (two thumbs up). A few TV monitors showing the game, but its not like a noisy sportsbar. * Drinks & Services* You've got your choice of craft beers that rotate like a standard tap room. They also have tasty seasonal cocktails, but their normal everyday cocktails are just as good. And if you're gonna have a charcuterie board, then you've got to offer a wine list option right? Well they got that too! One last thing to mention, they've got some top-shelf bourbon and whiskey. The 649 is a bar that offers it all! Service has also been welcoming and top-notch. I recall only been served by Rich, Steven, and Crystal, but they always seem to craft up some lovely cocktails. Or deliver some clean tasting everyday type of bar food as well. * Last Call * Normally in my reviews, I'd list every item that I've tried, with price included. But The 649 is such a unique type of bar experience that I feel you should try for yourself; To me, their offerings are reasonably priced. Dining in is nothing fancy, but service is excellent. It's a great hangout for a business date, of even after a first date. I've got nothing but love for local support!

All they mentioned was French inspired or French fusion, and knowing I haven't been to many of those my wife and I went here without looking at the menu. Looking at the menu, I'll tell you that it was not what I expected so much so that I forgot to take pictures of it because I spent all my time trying to decide what I wanted. I think not looking anything up was probably the best decision I could've made because that led to us choosing some dishes that I think we normally wouldn't have ordered.
