A toothbrush was behind the mirror- opening the closet we found a dusty shelf and a moldy kitchen sponge. The fan in the bathroom was covered in dust and hair and was impossible to clean. It's our fault for booking even with the reviews. The utter lack of sanitation/cleaning with it being such a popular area for sports families to stay is unsettling. My husband and son slept on an air mattress with blankets from home as they did not feel comfortable sleeping in the beds/sheets. At that point, the whole experience was becoming almost comical. We ordered a cod burger with fries, a Caesar salad, onion rings and an iced tea. The cod burger was okay. Nothing memorable, but edible. The Caesar salad was actually good. The fries, however, arrived cold, soggy and thoroughly greasy -- quite an accomplishment considering how long we waited for them. The onion rings apparently embarked on a separate journey altogether, because they never arrived. By then, we'd lost the will to ask about them and just gave up. The grand total for one cod burger with cold fries, a small Caesar salad and an iced tea? $40.00! We mentioned the long wait, forgotten food and other problems to our waiter. He was sympathetic and explained that they were short staffed, which we understand can make things difficult. But being short staffed doesn't make a 90-minute lunch, no drinks for an hour, cold soggy fries and forgotten food any less disappointing -- especially at those prices.
