One star only because you have to. Holes in the wall. Dried urine on toilet. Holes in linens. Mirror dirty. Hair. Obviously dirty furniture. No maintenance. Absolutely rude and oblivious receptionist who blamed me for not notifying them sooner. As if I'm the reason the room wasn't clean. Very, very disappointing. I'd rather stay at motel 6. And we had two rooms. Bo

My friend and I were going to be checking in late like 3am late. I put that specifically in the notes when I booked on their website. I got a confirmation of my reservation. We get there at 3am and get told I believe we canceled your reservation.... the reason I give 3 stars to service she honored the price I booked it at as I am a rewards member and have AAA. But I did not get any notification at all saying my reservation was canceled, and it didn't show up in my account. The room was gross it needs updates but also could just do with a very good clean. There was what we hope was lint all over the bedding. The heater did not work. The room was cold, and the buttons on the air controller does not work. You turn the switch to on and it is freezing dirty smelling air. The entertainment center in our room was falling apart and rotting from the fridge leaking. There were stains on the bathroom door that definitely was not something I wasn't to touch. You could also see the ceiling leaked in the bathroom at some point. And then when we were packing up I found ants on the might stand next to our beds. Found one dead one in my bed when I checked in the morning. Sheet was also not for my bed I was sleeping in. Oh and the out let beside the bed was being held in the wall with tape. If we didn't have to drive so long to go home and we weren't so tired we would of left and just drove home. DONT STAY HERE If you have a choice.

Not sure if this works or not! it sure doesn't look good.

I am so disappointed in this hotel. Making reservations was easy and the price was good. Too bad that is the only positive that I have about this place. It started off with the keys not working. Ok, that can happen, no big deal and got new keys made that worked. The room clearly had not been serviced well prior to our checking in. There were random springs around the room on the floor. The smoke detector in the bedroom (we were in a parlor suite) was missing the cover and from the condition of everything else in the room, I have my doubts that it even works! The flip lock on the door busted first time we tried to lock the door. It was clear from the outside of the door that someone had tried to break into the room in the past as their was chisel marks on the doorframe by the lock. This made us very nervous. I immediately went to the front desk and let them know. They promised to have maintenance there first thing in the morning to fix it. That night when we returned, it had not been fixed and it was made clear to us that they didn't intend on fixing it. We had to do the chair under doorknob trick to feel safe-ish in the room! There were 3 of us sharing the room. I requested that bedding for the pull out be provided. I assumed before I went to bed that it was in the closet like it usually is. Nope! My friends ended up using the couch pillows that were on the pull out and froze that night. They asked for bedding again in the morning and we were assured it would be there. Again, nope! I get back to the room that night and again, no bedding, no pillows, nada! I call the front desk and was told that they had no idea where to find it. I heard one of the other people at the desk tell her where it was and they said they would send it up. After about 45 minutes, I called again as it had not been delivered yet. After about an hour, it was delivered. 1 thin blanket! No pillows, no sheets, NADA! The room was not serviced at all during our stay and it was clear from the behavior of the staff that they just don't care. The apathy of the front desk was really sad to see, if the front desk staff can't be bothered to show any concern about the guests, how bad is it behind the scenes? THEN to make things even worse. They billed me TWICE for the room! I tried calling the hotel on Monday and left a message. It is now a week later and still have not gotten a call back from anyone! There are tons more hotels in the neighborhood. I will be staying at another one in the future. So sad that this place has fallen down so low.

Under the beds and blanket and curtains

No stars. They moved our room 4 times the first time there was blood on curtains and the chair, the second room was not cleaned the third time there was blood on blanket. The 4th time under the beds were gross and mold growing out of it. They handed us the broom and said here. I ended up getting sick after eating there eggs in morning. There was night night front desk ppl that were very nice and the rest were very rude and disrespectful

RED LION INN KELSO, WA (PLACE IS A MASSIVE DUMP) We only stayed for about 20 minutes. Our room was NASTY! We got a parlor suite and we were very excited for our stay. After check in, we entered from the mid entrance. The doors on this entryway were broken to where anyone could enter at any time. Red flag #1. Our room was spacious with 80s decor. The furniture was heavily stained, the air vents into and out of the room looked like they haven't been cleaned in years. Ceiling tiles were missing in the closet exposing wires, and hvac. There were stains, and what looked to be blood on the bathroom lights. It was enough for us to immediately turn in our key card and walk away. They can blame their lack of cleanliness on staff shortages all they want, but if that's the case, close the rooms until they are at least somewhat clean.

    That is one dirty chair.

This place is on parr with the usual cheapo corporate hotel experience, and I certainly didn't expect any better than that. However, when the hotel offers less than my extremely low expectations, I make a note to never come back. First off, we chose this hotel because it had a pool and hot tub...hot tub was broken which we didn't know until we walked out to enjoy it. Our key cards didn't work well, the chair in our room was filthy..but all that is normal for hotels in my price point. No problem. The usual. On the upside, the youngster loved the pool! Here is why I won't come back. We paid $15 extra for our small dog, yet no accommodations are made and in fact, you are penalized. You cannot take the dog into the giant outdoor concrete pool area (we had him settled and quietly snoozing under a chair but were told we couldn't do that by a passing employee). I get that you cannot take dogs in the actual swimming pool. But I cannot leave doggy in the room alone, so I guess you are delegated to sit the room with dogster and pays $15 for the priviledge. Other hotels will quietly let you take a well-behaved pooch in the pool area if he/she sits quietly under a chair (even if official rules say no). That seems fair and reasonable since, essentially, pooch is a paying hotel guest. And lastly, they don't offer the complimentary low quality breakfast we have come to "enjoy" as part of the chain hotel experience. Instead we are supposed to pay another $30 ($10 each...even for children I guess) for the exact same low quality breakfast offered for free at similar hotels. So if you add in the $45 extra (pooch and breakfast), we possibly could have gone to a slightly nicer place with cleaner chairs, a working hot tub and the usual crummy breakfast included in the price.

This hotel is SUPPOSED TO BE a NEGOTIATED, PREMIER hotel with my company.....WORST PLACE IVE EVER STAYED. We can start with the dirty room, water on the floor, bathroom door that doesn't close, mold in toilet, and questionable cleaning service, then head over to the fact the smoke alarm is in the DESK DRAWER, completely disabled. Then we can add that I was given a room surrounded by other travelers with DOGS. Barking nonstop, slamming doors, and again....seriously surrounded by dogs... on both sides of me, across the hall, and above me. Learned from my neighbors that I'm staying here during the Dalamation Group convention in town. So Red Lion...could you have put me in a room far from the dog owners since I didn't REQUEST an animal friendly space???? I am a PROUD dog owner myself but didn't bring one with me on this trip!!! Last on the list.....MOUSE TRAP UNDER THE DESK. Horrified. Disgusted and disappointed that my company chose this establishment as a "preferred" provider.

Avoid at all costs! Filthy and in terrible disrepair. It was so dirty, they posted that masks were mandatory in public spaces, yet no one at the desk or the people sleeping in the lobby had masks on. The room was visibly filthy and smelled bad. We should have hightailed it out of there, but we were exhausted and couldn't face packing up and driving more. I think the photos say it all

I understand COVID has made an incredible impact on hotels; I was in the hospitality business for 35 years. However, no matter the circumstances, there is always the commitment for cleanliness. And this is where the hotel fails. I had to wash the bathroom floor as it was disgusting. I couldn't sit on the chair without a towel covering the arm rests. And I won't even start with the carpet. Great and friendly staff - but owners need to equip the team with the tools to look after this property. The rooms are more than tired, they are borderline gross.

The room had potential to be better.

Clean and simple. No longer a high end hotel as I remember from the 1970's. It fit our needs and that all that really matters
