Went to red lobster on saturday morning. Was seated right away. had to change tables because of a strange odor. We weren't the only group to notice it. Our server said they had sprayed late last night. I'm sure after hours and to get out any unpleasant odors when they cleaned up for the evening. She was nice enough to spray( a more pleasant smelling spray) again to clear out the smell. After that bump in the red lobster experience everything else was good. We had salmon with veggies, mash potatoes, and the ultimate feast with some pina coladas. Everything was delicious and seasoned well. Our server was pleasant, professional, and attentive. My family and I went out to dinner for a birthday and we had the best service we have ever had in a very very long time at this location. Our server Lauryn was kind helpful very knowledgeable about everything and we just had a great time. She greeted us with such a kind attitude and made us feel so welcome everything that we asked for was delivered in just the right time, our food was perfect she was Interactive and really showed us that she loves what she does. We have been coming here for a long time and do not always get the greatest service however this was definitely an unforgettable experience and we will be coming back again to hopefully have her take care of us next time. I am officially done with this particular red lobster!!!! Every time I go there for a take out order it's an issue. They've left me on hold for extremely long periods of time just to place an order for pick up on multiple occasions and today was no different. As usual I get here at the designated time I was told it would be ready and surprise surprise it still was not ready. When it was finally ready it was wrong!!!! The biscuits were crunchy yuck. Do not order from Red Lobster in Bronx, order food for delivery at 2pm delivery for 430pm it is 9pm and no food. I could have picked it up but that option was not available on the website only delivery. The whole day waiting to eat and now I would just have to eat cereal and go to sleep. If I could give this place no stars I would. Today was my mother in laws birthday we were a party of 8 before we were seated I told the lady walking us to our table please have them sing happy birthday to her and bring out a cake she said no problem. Our waitress Zadia (the heavy set Indian looking lady) asked why were we hear today I told her it's my mother's in law birthday can they make sure to sing and bring out a cake she agreed. She brought out only the garlic bread and disappeared for 20 min finally came back and took our orders as she was taking our order she was arguing with an another server lady over tables. Then when she was done arguing she proceeded to take our order after each person tried to order she would stop and comment to a tall skinny male that the other server was crazy and annoying and she continued to have side conversations while trying to take our order. She brought our drinks out never once did she asked if we wanted refills even when we tried to flag her down. I have an injured arm and she tried to set a soup plate down over me so I asked my partner to switch seats with me so I can be on the corner booth to avoid getting any physical contact again with my injured arm and her I mentioned it to her I have an injured arm plz be mindful. When she brought everyone drinks she passed them all one by 1 to me for me to serve our friends and family and then proceeded to do the same with everyones plates which I said no I will not pass anymore I have an injured arm you do it, Everyone gets there food and she messed up one of our orders we order chicken fettuccine Alfredo she brought out Cajun chicken fettuccine instead, we mention it and she stated we ordered wrong and we told her no we told you correct you were too busy talking, she brought out the chicken fettuccine Alfredo but the chicken still tasted like the Cajun order so by this point now I don't want to eat it I'm just gonna wait for everyone to finish eating. My partner and I had the 4 course meal and we reminded her about my mother in laws birthday cake with the singing she disappeared for 20 min and finally came back with with only 2 deserts and forgot to get the staff and extra cake for the birthday girl like how can you fuck that up seriously. Worst dining experience of my life. We were never offered water and we never saw our server aside from introduction, ordering, and receiving our food. Our food came and we didn't even have silverware. My girlfriend and I ordered the 7oz and 12oz steak respectively. Her's was to be medium and mine medium rare. They were both well done and tough to chew. On top of all this, i got the wrong side with my steak; upon letting the server know (hailing him over) i was met with a "yea, okay" and it was never fixed. Honestly, how is there only one other review to this place? This is clearly one of the worst Red Lobster's on the planet. I used to love Red Lobster as a kid. I had my birthday parties there and stuff but this location in the bronx is just the worst. The wait time here is very intimidating, which is my main reason for the 2 stars off. Food was as good as any Red Lobster location, and the server (though slow) was very pleasant. I live in the Bronx, but I will likely go for the Harlem location, which has inconsistent service but no wait. Also, note- you can reserve your place on-line in the Red Lobster website before you go, which may reduce your wait time. I live in the ghetto and this Red Lobster was too hood for me. I was expecting Antoine Dodson to come out at any minute to complete the party. There's always a long wait at this Red Lobster so I wasn't expecting a miracle in that department. But, come on. Did ya'll seriously microwave my food and think I wouldn't notice?! My shrimp were swimming in a sweaty bath of condensation. To top it off, my waitress thought I was just my boyfriend's blow-up doll for the night. Either that or I was invisible because the only one she spoke to was to him as if I wasn't seated directly across from him. Next, the service: listen I as well as most people (I'm assuming) like they're meals brought sans smile. That's not always going to happen at every eatery you dine in. There's a difference between being rude and not smiling. Again it IS the BX, a borough with many low socio economic communities-- aka the projects. Maybe the staff members at red lobster aren't coddled like infants by mommy and daddy, and smothered in cash like some of us fortunate people...maybe they work to survive, which includes bringing an unlimited supply of cheesey biscuits to yo greedy azz; again maybe I'm crazy (maybe YOUR crazy). Doesn't come as a surprise why the wait staff might not be the happiest of campers. I've never encountered any issues with MY particular service, so I can't comment on the negative aspects anyways. I have been here on numerous occasions because my friends Dad lives in Co-op city, and he loves taking us here for dinner. I don't complain. I stay loyal to the BX, and the Red Lobster that lives there. It's always clean, and there's never been a seating issue where I have to wait until the next day just to get a seat, and eat my crabs. My family and I live in the neighborhood and decided to go to Red Lobster despite having previous negative experiences. We walked in and there was no hostess in the front only a man who mumbled to us to ask if we had our vaccine cards. We showed them to him and then stood there for about 5 solid minutes before the hostess came out. She did not ask if we needed a table or even acknowledged us so we said to her is there a wait and she goes "yea about 10 minutes" mind you the place was empty and I saw plenty of waiters just walking around. I then proceeded to ask her ok do you need a name to put down? She then says again "yea" we waited and then two waiters came out and were play fighting in front of the host stand. The man put the female in a chokehold jokingly and I was completely taken aback that this is what the staff is doing in front of customers. I was appalled at the lack of service and professionalism here. Management needs to take responsibility of their staff and make sure that people are being trained properly. I didn't realize that acknowledging a customer when they walk in was such a chore. I love the food at Red Lobster and usually have a decent experience. However, this particular location is horrible. The wait to sit down was long, as expected. The real problem came once we were seated. Our waiter, Ryan, took our order but failed to bring us bread and utensils. We waited almost an hour for our food (which he admitted he was to busy to put into the system) and he still didn't bring utensils when it arrived. Worst Birthday meal ever! I usually look forward to eating at Red Lobster. Our Easter dinner was great, so my Mom and I go back for my Birthday today. The service was poor, and my salad - I asked for the greener of the two salads, were brown and pale. I sent it back for coleslaw. Then my Mom and I order the Buffalo wings. I swear I wished I took a picture, the chicken was brown and soggy and the sauce was slapped on. Last time they forgot to give us the wings, this time I wished we did not order it. I could not eat it, it was TOO hot. The waitress said that's what you ordered, but we didn't order slop. It was not her fault, but still. She took it back and out came a beautiful plate of buffalo wings, with blue cheese and sauce on the side. Thank God our entrees made up for the fiasco. The clincher? My Mom told the waitress it was my Birthday and to bring dessert. The waitress brought over my dessert and dropped it in front of me and walked away. WTF? I had to laugh. No singing? I was in disbelief. The waitress said there was no one available so they weren't able to sing. She said I will sing. That was bad that we had to ASK her to sing. A few minutes later as we paid for the check, someone was getting their birthday sung. That irritated me. I overheard her say to her colleagues that no one was around for her customer. Would it have killed them to stop over and do that for a customer? I took the rest of my dessert and walked out. The server was lucky we gave her 15%. my Mom wanted to give less. I wished I complained to the Management. They will get a copy of this review. I won't be going back if that's how you treat a customer on her birthday. First as of June 2018 this red lobster restaurant has a B rating from the nyc health department. Right there means stay away, went there on December 31,2018 for a early dinner at 4:30pm. Never stayed to eat cause the service is horrible, horrible, horrible. I walk out within 20 minutes due to lack of service, no one came over, no one gave me water or biscuits. Nothing left never even asked why we were leaving. This franchise should be shut down , it was decent when they first opened but now it's horrible and the corporate office should know they need a complete overhaul. Disappointing. My friend and I decided to dine Sunday night for what we thought would have been a good experience. What a joke. The dining room was not busy and after we were sat, were not greeted for at least 15minutes. When our waitress decided to come to the table she left us with a basket of biscuits and then stepped away to another table. So I asked if they would honor a substitution for a soup or vegetable (asparagus or green beans ) due to the unavailability. Robertha quickly replied "no" sounding annoyed by questions. I asked if she could ask a supervisor and she said no. Robertha asks if that would be all and proceeded to submit orders in POS. At this point my friend and I were turned off and decided it was best that we just leave before it gets worse. When we approached Robertha, she was standing with 2 of her colleagues complaining about me questioning her about the sides. She looked embarrassed as she should. and we exited. As a former employee of Red Lobster I know what the standards are and how the company values their customers. This is beyond unacceptable and a poor reflection of the company as a whole. My friends and I love this red lobster out of the few we have tried. We are never disappointed with the food and usually the service. The only thing I will complain about is the service at times, sometimes it is very slow, some waiters/waitresses look miserable, and one had the nerve to ask for more tip. What the manager called well-seasoned, I called salty. There's a big difference. My mom ordered the baked potatos and it was buried in butter and sour cream even though she requested it on the side. I ordered the steak and grilled shrimp skewers. My steak was overdone and not seasoned enough, but the shrimp was appetizing. My husband ordered the chicken alfredo and unfortunately didn't get to enjoy it because there was hair in his food. By this point, we were ready to go. The manager came over and was very apologetic and discounted our bill but we were pretty much over it. There are too many inconsistencies with the flavors. Some things a greasy, salty mess and others pretty tasty. It's a hit or miss. The best thing here are the biscuits. read more

I've been coming here since the early 90s and tho the food quality has declined over the past 2 decades or so, I must say that sitting at the bar versus table service was a much better experience! The bartenders were super friendly and offered suggestions and samples. The food also seemed to come out quicker than when ur at a table. I ordered the shrimp nachos for an appetizer and then the New Orleans shrimp for my dinner. The nachos were pretty good, although I'm not at all a fan of "squeeze nacho cheese". I would've preferred actual shredded cheese. The New Orleans salmon was great. It also came with shrimp, and a choice of 2 sides. I choose broccoli and mashed potatoes. I also had a Henny Colada which was surprisingly good as far as restaurant bar drinks usually go. I also had another drink that was amazing, but I can't remember the name of it lol.
