Terrible experience with service and management. So many people it was like a cattle trough. Took a very long time to take order then after another long period time we asked where our orders were. I took my sister for lunch at the Burlington location. I really love to go to these old-school restaurants. The booth seating is so comfortable. You can always count on the servers to be friendly and knowledgeable. And the food is so consistently yummy. We had the seafood stuffed mushrooms. An absolutely delightful lunch experience for my mother who lived in Burlington and is a regular client of this location and loves to get served my an amazing lady named Maria who also speaks Spanish . My mother invited me for lunch !! my birthday celebration. We where greatly hosted by the one and only District Manager "David Harling " who went above and beyond making our lunch super special and made us feel awesome. My Daughter and I love going here to enjoy their Lobster Bisgues and discovered how delicious their muscles are as well, we have been going to this location for years and have never been disappointed with the service or food. Def one of our go to places for the Bisque I remember when we could get it in a bread bowl which was a nice touch its now served in a dish. the place has enough parking and when we were there recently I was impressed with how they have the place set up to accomodate the new Covid rules. The server was overly talkative. Annoying. I don't need a new friend. The food was good, I will give them credit for this. The first mixed drink was obviously poured very light. For the next, I had to ask for the alcohol brought separate from the mix. I ordered a salad as a side. It didn't come. Had to ask and wait for it. My wife's lobster came without melted butter. Had to ask and wait for it. Wife had to ask for a seafood fork. When the manager checked on us, he said that it's a company policy to only bring them with crab. After dinner, I ordered a third drink and was refused service, for the first time in my life. I let it go, but the manager came by to check on us again. He told us that their corporate policy is more strict than SmartServe. Although he first said that amount of time doesn't matter and that metabolism does, he eventually said that corporate policy is red light/green light at one drink per hour. Seems time-based to me. Bottom line, poor service gets blamed on Red Lobster's corporate policy and you can't have more than one drink an hour. I wonder if they pour alcohol light and then cut off customers who actually demand what they're paying for. I won't be back. Obviously. read more

I absolutely love my service when I walked in on a Saturday afternoon. I cannot remember my waitresses' name but she was so sweet and genuine. Literally one of the best servers I've had. She came by the table a lot without hovering. CONSTANTLY refilled our bread basket. My boyfriend and I ordered off the lunch menu. Our waitress gave us ideas and explanation of what was good to order and what to stay away from. - Soup & Salad: The clam chowder was average. The salad was bomb. They ran out of small shrimp so they gave me the huge ones and did not cheap out. Yum. - Popcorn Shrimp: The shrimp was actually there and the bite wasn't all fried dough. They give a good amount as well. This is a re-order for sure. - Shrimp Skewer & Chicken Breast: The shrimp skewer was fine and loaded with shrimp but not special. The chicken breast was D E L I C I O US. The meat was so tender and juicy. The rice itself was bland and stale so :( The mashed potatoes is a re-order for sure. How should I start? My husband and I arrived couple minutes before 3pm and waited for 20 min to be greeted by our waitress. She brought us some drinks and left us with the menu. Another 10-15 min later she came back to take our order, then she comes back from the kitchen saying the "very same" meal that I had ordered would cost me extra $3 dollars because the "lunch" menu was only available up until 3pm. After some reasonable questioning the Manager agreed to remove the extra charge. A couple more minutes later our order arrived and my husband had to send his chicken back to the kitchen as it was uncooked (literally pink). The staff handled both situations very professionally and with grace, but that was enough to leave us with a bitter taste in our mouths, not even the amazing biscuits can make us go back. read more

This was the first time I ordered from Red Lobster (I haven't eaten there for many years) and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The meal was ready in less than 20 minutes for pick up and it was fetucini Alfredo with shrimps and lobster. The shrimps were good size and it also contained good chunks of fresh lobster meat. I have literally been going to this Red Lobster for almost 30 years, on and off as I have moved out of Burlington but still have family there. I have memories of this place as a kid, where family friends worked here to get through school and I even remember the old cigarette machine they had by the door and how cool it was to stare into the lobster tank while you waited to be seated. All in all, I used to be able to depend on Red Lobster to not be a 5 star meal but a decent experience. That all changed yesterday. My family will usually now go to Red Lobster maybe once a year, usually for lunch or maybe an early dinner. We dined yesterday for an early dinner and had the worst experience of the year. We had to send back three different dishes because they had old grease marks on them from previous diners, we had a huge pile up of dishes on our table due to our server not taking away things like glasses as he brought refills, refills had to be prompted as our entire party of 4 had empty glasses for about 15 minutes (and this is in a 20% full restaurant where our waiter had a section of 3 tables). At one point, our server literally tossed straws across the table because he could not be bothered to properly walk around the table. The food was okay, the atmosphere was mediocre and the service made the whole experience uncomfortable. Too bad Red Lobster, and to think this was my choice this time. read more

My daughter decided to go to Red Lobster for her birthday. We have many wonderful memories over her 23 years at various Red Lobster locations. starting at the one that used to be on Queenston Rd in Hamilton, our regular one was in Brantford but because she is now living in Toronto the best one was the Burlington location. Atmosphere- A usual run of the mill Red Lobster. They are very inviting but I do prefer to be near windows. This place we did not see a window. Very nautical and spacious. Food- We ordered our usual favourite appetizer- Coconut shrimp with extra pineapple sauce. Everyone loves them in my family. The small cup of sauce is just never enough for dipping so we always have to order an extra one per plate. Btw- this sauce goes nicely with grilled fish as well. They were delicious. Most places have some heat to their coconut shrimp but this sweet way is my favourite. After the great cheese buns we had a variety of starters- 1) Caesar salad- Excellent with nice dressing and shaved Parmesan cheese 2) House salad- good and fresh 3) Clam chowder- this has a nice light flavour. Not a lot of clam pieces but the taste is good. Mains today included- 1) Haddock and chips- My husbands usual. the fish is breaded with not a ton of batter and it is not greasy at all. The mashed potatoes are wonderful as per Red Lobster usual. 2) tilapia and mango salsa- My daughter loved it. Broccoli is good but we always ask to omit the salty spice they tend to ruin them with. 3) Grilled arctic char with ginger sauce- Daughter number two really liked the sauce and her fish was fresh tasting. 4) I had grilled arctic char and it had that flavour of old fish. I tasted my daughter's and mine was definitely not of the same vintage. When with one of my girls I do not dare to mention anything other than "fine" when asked about the meal so sadly, this dish was uneaten except for the wonderful broccoli. 5) Fish tacos- They looked as good as they tasted. I wish i had ordered the Bar harbour dinner- which has mussels, scallops, shrimp and lobster over pasta. Next time i guess. Service- Our server was very friendly and efficient. Our meals came hot and without delay. Overall my daughter enjoyed her birthday dinner. we didn't stay for coffee or dessert because I had my home made chocolate birthday cake for her at home. This location is always busy. Better off to make a reservation then to end up disappointed with long wait times. You are able to wait in the bar, but it is often crowded too. I've never had a bad meal or bad service at his location. They bring unlimited garlic cheese buns which are amazing. I always get the crab legs with Caesar salad and steamed broccoli. I love their Caesar salad. Sometimes the broccoli is mushy leading me to believe it's frozen and then cooked for far too long, but let's be honest, no one is really there for the broccoli. It is a bit pricy, but there's no where else to get a full crab leg dinner that includes everything for $40. I think it's good value for the area. Despite it being a chain, I have always found the food to be good and the service to be amazing. read more

Ordered the Thursday special for two for my husband's birthday. Everything looked and tasted great! They even gave us extra biscuits. The only problem was that they didn't give us the serving of the non-fried shrimps that came with the meal. It was in the picture and also written in the description that it came with two types of shrimp. I called and a manager said we could come back and have the shrimps added to our next order. A few days later we called to come and get the order of shrimp. They really went above and beyond. They gave us a double order of the missed shrimp and a $20 gift card. I called in to make a reservation for 6 at Red Lobster and was told that Red Lobster does not take reservations. We still went to Red Lobster and a mature hostess told us that we would have to wait an hour. We noticed how a family of 9 were able to make resevations because the young hostess called out reservation for 9 and then families of 4 or 2 were quickly accommodated. So, I asked the mature hostess how much longer is the wait since we had waited 20 mins and she says an hour from now. What shocked me was that she didn't apologize for having us wait longer and didn't offer us the bar. We all were so upset with this poor customer service that we left. By far the worst Red Lobster I have been to throughout the Toronto region. The wait time was much longer than we were told. At first I didn't mind but with the manager constantly walking by & also stopping to speak to leaving patrons it would have been nice if he acknowledged the longer wait & instead spoke to the waiting patrons. Furthermore, many of their employees would stop at the front desk with food to be served to chat amongst each other. After we had ordered our appetizers & one already came our server decides to tell us they ran out of the Artichoke dip. Very disappointing & also resulted in one of us not being able to get the 4 course dinner because the soup appetizer that already came was part of dinner. Our server did not try to accommodate us with this at all. We were seated in a booth with a flickering light that was quite annoying during the dinner. The food was adequate which was usually not my choice of description for Red Lobster before this trip but the coconut shrimp I ordered was burnt & very dry with the smallest side of rice I have ever seen. Sandra, our server was probably the least enjoyable waitress from the whole restaurant. We encountered other helpful waitresses & heard others actually conversing & being friendly, providing great service to their guests however we did not experience this. At the end of the night, she rudely handed us our to go bag muttering an incoherent yeah after we thanked her. I now regret giving her a tip. A great respectful restaurant. I had my dinner two days ago. The food was great, fresh and delicious. The staff are so nice. Quick service and nice attitude. Also i want to mention that I lost my $600 Channel sunglasses and after two days searching for it, I decided to go and ask that i might left it there. They kept it in a safe place and I got it back. I was so happy because I never expect someone would find it and just leave it or keep it for me to come back for it. Very trustworthy restaurant. The server was very nice, the wait for our food was very long considering there were no people clogging the lobby and we were seated immediately. The cheese crusted tilapia was perfectly flakey and tasty. I was thrilled to see some new veggies being offered and ordered Brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes. That's were the fun stopped...the sweet pots were pureed to baby food consistently and the sprouts could not be pierced by a fork. Over and under done obviously. The tilapia dish was one of several whose description followed with the words "two sides"....but guess what, when the bill came there was a $7.00 charge for the two sides I chose (that were sadly inedible). Driving through heavy 5pm traffic on Black Friday, was sadly just not worth the effort. Our very first but bad disappointment with Red Lobster. I'd like to suggest the chef learn how to properly good the new veggies, the menu reflect the charges for same or else the wait staff be trained to mention same when ordered. At least the fish was delicious. I did share this complaint on line and rec'd a response. Don't feel the responder actually "got" what I was saying...they kept talking about 'substitutions'. My point is that I was totally unaware that I was ordering a substitution...I was simply ordering 2 'sides'. Hopefully they will share this comment/complaint with someone who comprehends the actual complaint and will train their chefs on how to properly cook the new veggies they are offering.
