Filet mignon is a premium cut of beef from the tenderloin, known for being exceptionally tender, lean, and having a mild, buttery flavor, The piece of meat that I received via DoorDash was advertised to be filet mignon as part of a "surf and turf" combo with a lobster tail. The meat was tough to the point of being uneatable. The lobster was underdone. The only good things about this expensive meal were the baked asparagus and the garlic linguini. I couldn't eat the meat, so I tried to give it to our dog. Molly had a hard time eating it as well. The baked potato was adequate. All-in-all, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Overpriced and not delicious. I thought about telling the manager about this fiasco; but I reckon that the manager knows just what they serve. So I will just chalk this experience up as a disaster that I will never again repeat. Go somewhere else for good food at a reasonable price is my advice to the general public. read more

On June 30, I visited Red Lobster in Greenville, North Carolina, and settled at the bar, as I usually do. Upon my arrival, the bar was empty, but a few customers soon arrived, filling up the seats. Throughout the evening, several more people came in and out. I had placed my order three hours earlier and, finally, it arrived along with my drinks and a bill. On July 5, I returned to the restaurant. I used my free dessert that I hadn't received during my previous visit. I ordered two soups and ate the smaller one at the restaurant. Me and my husband (Michael Ray Jenkins) decided to treat ourselves to lunch and went here yesterday afternoon and the food was great! My wife and I visited this Red Lobster on Memorial Blvd in Greenville Friday morning. We arrived at opening and were the first customers. As we entered, I observed social distancing markers on the floor and the staff were wearing mask. We were seated and shortly after, our waitress arrived. She received our drink order and submitted that. We had to wait for a bit on our biscuits but that was because they were still cooking since we were the first to arrive so no issue there. We received our drinks and placed our starter order which was Mozzarella Sticks and the Lobster shrimp, artichoke dip. That took an average amount of time to arrive, no issue. The starters were fresh and very good. We then placed our main course orders which was Shrimp Scampi-fries-loaded baked potato, Fish and Chips with fries, I ordered from the make your own combo and ordered, walt's famous butterfly shrimp-popcorn shrimp with double fries and asked that it all be fried hard. All the food arrived an average amount of prep time later, no issue. All the food was prepared just as we asked and hot. However, my fish I didn't like the breading so I won't order that again, the Cod fish itself was very good, just not a fan of the breading that was used. On 3/9/22 at 2:45 PM a friend and myself visited Red Lobster in Greenville. When we entered I asked the gentleman up front for a small table. I told him that I had a bad back and could not sit in a booth. There were plenty of tables available. He told me that the small tables were for four people only. He said that we could sit at the bar or use a booth. when he told us that we left. I visit Red Lobster two or three times a month, but not never again. Wow, I can hardly formulate into words how bad this place is. My girlfriend and I wanted lobster, plan and simple but we should have simply picked up some tails at our local grocery store instead of putting ourselves through this and paying $80. Now this is were it gets really bad. Our waitress who was nice enough didn't get my drink order right, ok, things happen. I noticed that two ladies came in together and sat opposite of us in the room, after we had put in our drink order. We put in our food order, nothing special, no extras, nothing altered. We waited and waited. The ladies across from us received their food. A few other tables got their food. Finally our order came out. The food had obviously been prepared and not brought out because the lobster Alfredo that I had ordered was already congealed with a thick skin developing on top from where it had sat. My girlfriend got one refill on her water, I got none. The ladies across from us with similar dishes, were seated after us, ate, paid and left before we finished our meal. We sat for several more minutes before we realized we could pay using the touch screen on the table. We paid and finished the survey before we saw our waitress. As we were getting up, she finally came over. Total time, nearly 2 hours. While paying, a female waitress scolded either two bus boys or waiters at a table behind us. I've worked in a restaurant as a cook, that is kitchen/back room kind of talk, not to be done in front of patrons. You would find better service at a McDonalds, but this is what you get when you dine at a franchise chain. Don't waste your time or money. read more

My son works 80 plus hrs a wk and took off early tonight to carry his family there to eat. They waited forever for there food and when it came out it was cold! They ordered milk for my grandson and after along wait the server informed them they don't have milk so they said ok we will take tea for him. They never received the tea. I know times are tough but to spend hours a Red Lobster is crazy. Quality of Service: Waitress didn't know about the entree. Said "no one has ordered this before". Slow on bringing drink refills. Took awhile to get the check. Cleaniness: Didn't visit the restroom. New landscaping and paint job. New dishware and I like the new "grinders" for salt and pepper. Portion Size: Shrimp was huge and they have doubled the usual cole slaw portion. Bisquits were smaller than normal and not very hot. Had to ask the wiatress for more mashed potatoes as the original serving was less than the normally small amount. Value For The Money: If you fill up on the bisquits, you can get full. Otherwise, they skimp on portions. This is one of the more classic Red Lobster I have been in, at least this one does not smell like day old seafood as soon as I walk in, and trust me, there are some out there... The waiting staffs were very welcoming and courteous. My waitress Nicole had a full-on smile since I walked through the door. Actually the best Red Lobster I have ever been to. Fantastic service from all employees who dealt with us and fairly quick service. We did the Endless Shrimp entree and loved the Teriyaki Grilled Shrimp and the Pineapple Habanero Coconut Shrimp. The other options were great, too. But those were clear winners. I found that the mashed potatoes were dense and dry, but not the worst potatoes I've tasted. The wild rice pilaf was just fine and I liked it. The alfredo sauce that accompanied the Shrimp Alfredo with Linguine was creamy and tasty. The restaurant was clean, as were the bathrooms, and this means a lot to me in a chain restaurant like Red Lobster. I look forward to coming back to this location. So we walked in for a Valentines day, bouble date. The lobby was full, and hostess busy. She never acknowledged usor even gave eye contact with people coming un the door. She left her station for what seemed like 10mins. When she returned, again did not acknowledge us standing in front of her and all looking at her. So I asked her if she had a table for 4 people. Her response to me (while looking down at her tablet) was "how may I help you?" So I in return asked if this is how you treat every customer who is going to spend $100s for date night? The food was very good and was pleased with the amount of food on the plate. However, I had the rudest waitress I have ever experienced in my 63 years of life. It was a Thursday night with lots of empty tables. We took my 82-year aunt out for her birthday. The waitress had our table and two other tables of two. When I asked if she would take our picture her response was: I don't have time to take a picture go ask the host! We ordered a glass of wine, which we did not receive until we were finished eating. Wanted it with the meal but due to she was nowhere in sight most of the time and she had already been so rude, I accepted that she had forgot and was afraid to ask. When she placed the food on the table, she just turned to walk away without asking if we need anything. I stopped her and asked for melted butter for my lobster. She returned with it 15 minutes later. She never asked "how was the food" or thanked us for coming. When she brought the bill, she laid it on the table, pointed to the box and said use that to pay. I had never used one of those pay stations and it would have been nice for her to have stayed to assist. So it had been ~5 years since my last sit down meal in Red Lobster; and I know why. The food just isnt what it used to be. We go for the cheddar bay biscuits, they did not disappoint. They came out hot and good. The reason there are two stars in the review. We were s party of three, all order different items, all dspleased with the food. So the two item combo of crunchy fried fish ans broiled scallops with broccoli and baked potato sides. Both fish items were over cooked, potato under cooked and the briccoli just right. The wild caught flounder stuffed with crab and seafood stuffing was a mere childs plate serving. The stuffing had tangy taste. Not what was expected. The grilled salmon was over cooked as well. Oh the whipped sweet potatoes were great. The server started with a bang but when it got busy he lost his skills.
