It has been a while since I've had Red Lobster, but was hungry for their Coconut Shrimp. They weren't very busy and we were seated right away. It was very dark in there, but the tables seemed clean. The service wasn't very good. The waiter forgot our bread and when we got our salads, we remind him for the bread again. When he received our entrées, he accidentally mixed up our order. We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he was new. We ran out of water and he said he would get us new ones and forgot. The food was okay, but very salty. read more

Red lobster has upped their game. Don't sleep on their menu! All the food was amazing but the new crab stuffed mushrooms were exquisite. I rated it 4 because the server didn't tell me the brusslesprouts were out and when I got my salmon bowel lettuce was replaced. The management did take care of it and our server was very apologetic. Really disappointing experience at the Mechanicsburg Red Lobster on Carlisle Pike today. My family came in around 11:30 AM on Saturday specifically for the Endless Shrimp promotion after my dad had already called ahead to confirm they were offering it today. As soon as we sat down, our waitress immediately told us they were "not doing it for the holiday weekend." Since Mother's Day is tomorrow, not today, we politely questioned it and even checked the terms online ourselves. Instead of helping clarify things, the waitress became very rude and dismissive and kept walking away while we were trying to speak with her. It honestly felt like we were inconveniencing her just by asking about a promotion the restaurant is actively advertising. The manager later confirmed the deal actually WAS valid today, but by then the entire experience had already become uncomfortable enough that we chose to leave instead of staying to eat. The manager did offer to reseat us, but after the interaction we had, we no longer felt comfortable staying. This was especially upsetting because Red Lobster has been one of my mom's favorite places for family meals over the years, and this is definitely not the kind of service we expected. We walked in excited for lunch and left frustrated without even ordering food. I Chose the Shrimp your way with 3 Choices I chose the Shrimp Linguine Alfredo & Their New Crispy Dragon Shrimp x2 with a side of steamed Broccoli. The wife Chose the Shrimp your way with 2 choices and they were the Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp & Walt's Favorite Shrimp! Their New Crispy Dragon is a breaded shrimp similar to a Bang Bang shrimp not as hot and they could have used more sauce. Our server Tia did a great job was attentive and pleasant. Very disappointed. Red Lobster seafood has gone downhill for years but it is really bad now. Has very little flavor. And for what you're paying it should taste a lot better. I know this is a problem due to inflation but it has really affected Red Lobster. The biscuits are still delicious and so is the signature Caesar salad. And this has happened during this visit and one this past March where the lobster has been undercooked. Another one comes out fairly quickly when you tell the server but it's annoying the cook doesn't check ahead of time with a fork just poking it. I will only be coming back here when family wants to come because I don't like the seafood anymore no matter what kind it is it just tastes bland. The service is good. Pin Pin in particular is a fantastic waitress (very attentive and knowledgeable) and funny to boot. She makes me laugh a lot. On another note, do not dine in the back room! We went on a weeknight to celebrate my grandson's birthday. It had been many years since I'd gone to a Red Lobster, but this is where he wanted to go. Everything was great - from making the reservation with Christine, to being seated, the service, the food, and even the way the attentive staff brought the cake (with singing). I am not sure of our server's name, but it may have been "Lin." Her menu suggestions and overall service made our night great. We are frequent patrons of restaurants, and have found most such family dinners to be disappointing and expensive. Last night was certainly the exception. Maybe it was just a very busy night because it seemed like the staff was slammed.. we had our 3 kiddos in tow so we didn't have a lot of time to wait.. we ordered our drinks and our food at the same time.. it was a bad sign when the virgin strawberry daiquiri took longer than the yummy biscuits to come out.. I love those biscuits.. hot! They were warm but not fresh and hot like I love.. the lobster and shrimp tacos were good, new item! But my husbands trout never showed up. We had all finished our meal when his trout showed up! The manager made it right by offering deserts and the fish for free so I can't complain and the reason I'm still giving 4 stars! Uber delivered atnultimate feast lobster dinner at $45 for the entrée and they forgot all the sides and when I called their only recourse was if I would come to the restaurant and pick rest of food. (Duh I placed an order because I didn't have a car) or they told me to call Uber and ask them if they would refund my vegetable and other sides. How do I serve a lobster and Shrimp dinner but that's it except for the drawn butter. You would think they would do some thing to compensate how the dinner was ruined, I was embarrassed to serve it to my husband and now he'll be hungry after I just spent $45 plus cost for delivery. This was my second time at this location and the food was good. The lobster and langostino pizza is a must try. Nice thin crust pizza with good blend of cheese, tomato, and lobster. A good flavor that you won't experience at a pizza joint. I also had the wagyu bacon cheeseburger. While it didn't have the most flavor possible, it was certainly a good cut of beef. I am not a huge fan of scallops. They were a bit too slimy for my liking. The brussel sprouts were definitely worth the additional $2. I've popped into this location multiple times during my errands. My favorite drink is the classic Boston Ice Tea (with cranberry juice and orange wedge). I love the cheddar biscuits. My meal choice depends on my mood or whatever promotion (ex. "Lobsterfest) is going on at the time. Large dining room and bar area. Most recently I received great customer service. I popped in to redeem my birthday reward. My server had issues trying to enter it into the POS system. Well, it was cheaper than different shrimp meals so we went with that. Shrimp scampi was good and I think they changed the breading on the fried shrimp. The sesame ginger we did not care for though. And the crunchy fiesta shrimp is not crunchy! The cheese sauce makes it soggy. Then our 2nd round came and we still had a table full of dirty plates. Yes, they became busy and instead of having someone other than our waitress bring additional food, they should also remove plates. Last Saturday, we invited friends to join us for dinner. Their app showed Now Seating. At 5:45 PM, I called and was told a party of 6 would have a 30 to 45 minute wait. 15 minutes later when we arrived, we were told there was a 2 hour wait! When I said what I was told previously, the hostess' answer was "it wasn't me"! We left and went to Gilligans where we were treated well. The following Monday, we went back to Red Lobster and spoke with a manager who was full of excuses: can't predict how many people came in before we arrived (15 minutes): People stay longer for endless shrimp special. Seriously, I usually avoid mid-tier chain restaurants like the plague. I get bored of the so-so options and blah flavors. However, tonight we tried to go to a place down the street and it was so freaking loud my son was covering his ears so we decided to leave. As we drove down the Pike, the kids started begging for Red Lobster (I think this was only the second (maybe third) time they'd been to one - I'm a mean mom who encourages them to eat local and exotic foods over chain options). We folded and decided to go. We were immediately seated (note to self, Sunday nights aren't too crowded). Our server was AWESOME. I wish I could tell you her name. Dark hair. Dark eyes. Lovely accent. Very funny. Made sure we had everything we needed without having to ask. The famous cheese biscuits come out. Hubby usually hates them, tonight he actually liked them. He was right, they were better than usual. Kids wanted big combo platters. Son ordered the Admiral's Feast. A large platter full of fried seafood: bay scallops, butterflied shrimp, clam strips, and flounder. He picked fries as a side. It came with ketchup, cocktail sauce, and tartar. He was in fried food heaven. The scallops were really good as was the fish. The shrimp were a little overcooked and the clam strips were more like clam snips (overcooked little bits of chewy clam). However, for about $20 the kid felt like he was at one of those beach dives. His 11-yr old eyes were bigger than his 11-yr old stomach, so about half of it came home in the to-go box. Daughter wanted the Seaside Shrimp Trio. Fried butterflied shrimp, shrimp scampi, and shrimp linguini Alfredo. The fried shrimp were good, she loved the scampi (although she tasted the sauce afterwards and thought it was incredibly salty by itself), and the linguini was good. I tried the linguini (sans shrimp because there weren't that many) and the pasta sauce was pretty decent. She was a happy camper and ate everything but a small portion of linguini for around $20. Hubby and I both ordered the half portion of the Salmon New Orleans. I had mashed potatoes and the green beans with mushrooms as my sides. I can't believe I'm about to say this about a chain restaurant . . . but it was phenomenal. Seriously. The fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The shrimp on top weren't tiny. The Creole butter sauce was good. The pico on top was fantastic with lots of fresh onion and cilantro flavors. It was really, really, really good. The mashed potatoes were tasty and didn't taste mass produced and the beans were cooked al dente and were so yummy. I still can't believe it. Seriously. I'm in shock. It was around $20. The salads before our meals were blah. Totally typical, boring, nasty, came-in-a-bag lettuce mix. Exactly the type of "meh" fare I expect from a mid-tier chain. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I'd really like to go back and have that salmon dish again. I'd give the salads a 1 star rating and the kid's dishes a solid 3-3.5 stars each; but the Salmon New Orleans moved the rating to a solid 4+. read more

I am trying my best to adult in this new grim world and one of the ways I was trying to order something other than my beloved chicky tendies and fries. So I went to this once fine establishment and sat down and decided I wanted to try the Lobster Stuffed Flounder. It looked really good on the menu and my taste buds were jumping at the chance to broaden my horizons. I placed my order with the nice waiter and I was at peace with my decision. That all changed within 5 minutes. I was enjoying my Pepsi and cheddar bay biscuits with my two pals when the waiter came back and delivered the heart-wrenching news, they were all out of Lobster Stuffed Flounder. I'm not too much into trying new things, I know what I'm hungry for, so I go to the specific restaurant and eat it. But this particular time I was feeling wild! So instead of the normal menu choice, Salmon and Noodles, I decided to get the Lettuce Wrap appetizer along with a meal of Tilapia Tacos. SO delicious! I think that's what I'll go for every time now. We first ordered a patron margarita and a lotta colada. The a lotta colada was absolutely massive and delicious. You can't screw up a margarita and it was just as good. We ordered the pick 3 for an appetizer and got calamari, cheese sticks, and stiffen mushrooms. The appetizer took a lot longer than expected and the waitress explained that the cooks accidentally burned the first bath and because of that we got a free dessert. When the appetizer came out it was well worth the wait. For our meals we each got the ultimate feast for lobster feast. Great time at Red Lobster! I chose the pick 2 appetizers as my meal and got the jumbo parrot coconut shrimp and the calamari. Both were pretty good, but next time I would definitely not get 2 fried choices! I was almost done with the calamari once I started on the shrimp and I was so full! Each shrimp was a struggle to eat, but was still really good. I didn't really care for the fried vegetables in my calamari, but it was an interesting way to try it for the first time. Finally, about the restaurant! Even though they were very busy I still felt like the service was good and the waiter took good care of us. My freshman year of college we read Dante's Inferno. Well, it's a good thing I wasn't born into a Catholic family, because gluttony is a SIN! My favorite sin actually (although sloth comes in a close second). This time last year (endless shrimp), we had lunch one day at Red Lobster in Colonial Park. Well the next day, we wanted it again (see the gluttony is relevant) but didn't want to go to the same location (it's good to not let people see you being a glutton). The solution?
