I had a gift card from a client that had been burning a hole in my pocket. With the never ending shrimp promo, it was time to use it. At the time, the AC was out and the restaurant was very uncomfortably hot. There were a few fans running but it seemed pointless as we couldn't feel any breeze. Our waitress was awesome and apologetic for the heat. When we ordered our first portions of shrimp, she had us order a second round as well. She was on top of it with drinks, too! If it weren't for the heat, this would have been a 5 star experience all around, which is amazing because where we lived in NC, that Red Lobster was atrocious, so it had been a long time since we last visited one. read more

First of all the restaurant is ho and apparently the air conditioning has not worked in MONTHS! We sat down in the bar area and ordered drinks. The martini I ordered was undrinkable even though I asked for Bombay gin. when the bartender finally came back and I told her she did offer to make another one. The second one was still bad. The food took forever to come out and was okay. Only okay. There were people at one table in the bar area and at only two tables in the dining room. We probably won't go back even though we live in the neighborhood and used to like Red Lobster. I'd recommend going here only if you want to sit in a sauna, drink things that are cold and have patience to wait for a while for your food to be delivered. read more

A few weeks ago we drove from Nashville to the Red Lobster in Mt. Juliet for a late lunch. I want to say, 1st, that I have been a Red Lobster Fan since 1973, when I ate at one in Daytona Beach, FL. on spring break. Everywhere we go, I look for one. For years, our kids always wanted to have their birthday dinners at Red Lobster. I am not well and had not been out to eat for almost a year. We pulled up when a couple was walking to their car. The lady said, "It is very hot." My husband agreed that it was a hot day. "She replied, "They do not have air conditioning." I can't get overheated. I throw up because I can't sweat anymore. My man talked me into going inside, "Just to see." It was uncomfortably warm. I sat down on the bench, and I asked the girl at the stand why it was so hot. She said they were waiting for someone to come and fix it. I asked if they were coming that day. We do not know. I asked if she was the manager, and she said yes. Then I asked how long it had been without air conditioning. "Three Months." THREE MONTHS??!! We were way into July. She said they had been told someone is making a new system, but no one knows when that will happen. I explained that if I got hot, I would have to take my food and go home. No problem. As we were sitting at a table with chairs, I glanced around the room, and there were big rips on some of the booth seats. No one has even tried to tape them, much less replace them. And then we met Luke. One of the best servers in my Red Lobster adventures. The first thing he asked us was if we wanted to move across the room where there was a pole fan that was turned directly toward me. How sweet was that? He took our order and was back quickly with our orders. It is Endless Shrimp on Mondays. The food was good, and Luke remembered my larger bowl of tartar sauce I always ask for. No one ever remembers to bring my tartar sauce, but Luke did. I stayed as long as I could bear the heat and then we left with part of my dinner. Without Luke and the wonderful shrimp, it would have been a different review completely. I do not know why the home office has given up on this store. Many times we went, and people were waiting to get a table. Someone in corporate should be fired. If the chain is going out of business, this visit was the way to make sure no one will go in there again. If they are not in financial trouble, please tell me why this has happened to one of my favorite restaurants. Fix the cushions in the booths. I do not understand why anyone is still working there without air conditioning. I can't believe you have people working in the hot kitchen for THREE MONTHS! You need to get someone there tomorrow. I went to this Red Lobster for the first time tonight and I was already skeptical because the reviews are lower than I would prefer. I order the shrimp pasta online and had it scheduled for an 8:40pm pick up: I arrived with my two daughters to pick up the item and noticed other people were getting their items and walking out and I didn't see my order come up. When I inquired about my order and told them it should be ready by now, the young lady working the To Go area said she Couldn't find the order any where and she said Are you sure you ordered it from here ? I showed her the order number and details and she said let me look again . She came back ten min later and said I found the order and she stated that someone had moved the ticket to an area where she couldn't see it. She said I will Bag it up And bring it out when new bread is ready. I stood there for a while longer and then she came back and said it may be longer because we don't have bread cooked. Around 928pm. I gave up and said let me go ahead and cancel the order . A manager came Out and said I can cancel it but it will be another ten min to cancel in the system and will take 10 to 14 days before the refund processes due to it being an online order. She came back with a receipt for me showing the items were refunded . I am wondering, is this a typical situation? The website makes you pay online in order to pick Up Orders so I didn't have a choice but to pay in advance but now I am Waiting 14 Days to get a refund and I still have to go elsewhere for the food . Çan a member of management walk me through how to do this differently for the next time I order ? I left confused and very hungry still . My daughters had already eaten at Martins BBQ and I was suddenly regretting that I didn't simplify my evening and eat with them Earlier . I left regretful and starving ! read more

We love Red Lobster, although I feel like their prices have increased significantly while decreasing the amount of food. A basket of biscuits is part of the experience, so when two biscuits came out for 3 people it was a bit silly. Two biscuits in a large basket just looked sad. Our server was a new server who seemed a bit frazzled handling the two tables he had, but I commend him for his efforts. He'll be great in no time! We ordered a bottle of Cab, but they didn't have it in stock. They only had two wines in stock that were sold by the bottle. We stuck with water. The Salmon New Orleans was absolutely delicious and I'll definitely get it again. The 4-stars is for our sever who had a great attitude with a desire to learn and for a tasty entree, but the biscuit and wine situation was no bueno. Most entrees are now between $30-$40 unless you get there for the lunch special. Food was not presentable as the stuffed mushrooms were falling apart, fish was like it had been sitting under a heat lamp and they had super skimped on the sides. To top it all off they looked at me like I had just chose to stand at the bar like I was just hanging out while they had a conversation amongst the three of them. By far one of the most disappointing experiences because last time me and my family visited this location the food was fresh and tasty. Today I ordered curbside (seafood boil) and there wasn't one item in it that was good and for $50 it blows my mind. The potatoes were not done, the shrimp was mushy and tasted nothing like shrimp, the corn and crab legs were undercooked and there was barely any sauce and what's the point of adding (spicy) if it had no spice at all. This is one of the best Red Lobster locations I have been to. From the food quality to the prompt, friendly service, you just can't beat this restaurant for a great dining experience. I think many folks shy away from visiting a chain, but these folks will take great care of you! Today I enjoyed a fresh salad, hot cheese biscuits, and a combo platter of shrimp scampi and clam strips. I met my elderly grandparents for dinner last night and they sat them at a table that was one seat short. They told us we had to wait at the table for 30min-1hr. The manager stood there and said they had no tables big enough for 5 people even though there were several right behind her shoulder. We waited at that table for 45 min. I finally got up and asked the girl in charge of the table already given to us if we could get some service, having already found a way to cram everyone in. Her exact words where "no one came to talk to you? They told us not to serve you.." After this we all decided to get up and leave and go somewhere else. It is now the next day and I never got a text to let us know our table was ready. We tend to go to this chain a couple times a year and on a recent overnight trip, we felt this was a good option for dinner. It was ready on-time for pickup. The price was right - visited on a Tuesday and got 2 complete entrees (Mariners Fest, with 2 sides and of course their wonderful biscuits), for $50. We ate in our hotel and found the salmon topped with langostino and lobster sauce (DELICIOUS), grilled scallops (great), and breaded shrimp (great, as usual). My family and I went there for Thanksgiving and it was the best experience I've had in a restaurant. The 8!family members of my family were treated extremely well from the staff members and the manager "Ashley". We were seated in an area away from everyone, so it felt very private, the ambiance was very quiet and happy. The food was AMAZING and HELLA HOT! (We had to let it sit so it could cool a bit). The server was the absolute worst. No way should she have been given more than 1 table to service at a time. SLOW doesn't even begin to describe her. If your server is named Alina, get up and leave. The food was mediocre at best. Biscuits were like rocks, but hot. I've never had to make my own Caesar Salad before - she brought me a bowl of lettuce and a cup of Caesar dressing. My baked potato was luke-warm...barely enough to melt the butter. My Maple Bacon Chicken was hot but way over cooked. Each breast had maybe a half-teaspoon of the maple sauce. More might have helped with the dryness of the chicken, but I doubt it. She never checked back on me and I had to flag her down to get my check. My last time at this particular Red Lobster. I've always been a fan of Red Lobster, and I still am, but like many other people who have reviewed this location it seems that the service is currently an issue. Stopped in with the family for a Birthday Celebration and our waiter seemed quite distracted. He would vacillate between coming around multiple times before we were ready to order to disappearing for extended periods of time towards the end of the meal. (Though to be fair he did bring the worlds saddest Birthday Sundae as part of the Birthday festivities, so points for that) The food was as expected (Admirals Feast.. Yum..) but by the time we finally got the bill paid up we were all feeling like prisoners who awaiting a reprieve. "Frankly my dear, I don't give a clam!" - Rhett Lobster OK, bad puns aside - for now - here's the deal. Sometimes we simply just forget. Well, I do anyway - I'm in my 60's. We have not eaten at Red Lobster in years. I thinking probably six or seven or two - again - I'm in my 60's so it could have been last month. Wanting something a little different we decided to give the Mount Juliet location a shot. It's lunch time - maybe they have some good lunch deals - or maybe not. To be honest I have always intended to try the AYCE shrimp (all-you-can-eat for the acronym challenged). I love shrimp. I do. I now don't love Red Lobster shrimp. It was just OK. The wife decided to get the same. There are a few different types you choose from and you can switch it up. The old standby - shrimp scampi - was the clear winner according to us both. I think they used Kikkoman Teriyaki off the shelf from the nearby Kroger. While they were shopping it tasted like they picked up a couple of family packs of SeaPak shrimp from the freezer section - BOGO (do I need to spell it out?) with their KrogerPlus card. The coleslaw was kinda gray. But the baked potato my wife got - she said it was the best one she has had all day...it was lunch...that was a joke. Garlic biscuits are always good and a great way to carb load. But did you know - the more of those you eat, the fewer shrimp refills you can hold. That is why the server constantly ask, "Can I get you more biscuits?" What they are secretly thinking is, "Stop eating so much shrimp!" As I mentioned, it was lunch. They were not that busy, but service was a little lacking. I estimating we were there over an hour. If all that time was spent eating shrimp, they would have had to go back to Kroger and buy a couple more bags, but truthfully it was because of the lag time between sitting, looking over the menu, waiting to order, waiting on the order and replenishing the shrimp. One thing we did notice was they seemed to have way more staff walking around than the number of customers would generally require. The final insult was a nod by the server to my aforementioned age. They have one of those POS tablets on the table (again with the acronyms! - Point of Sale) that allows you to pay at the table. They also allow you to pay $1.99 for it to babysit your kids with more screen time and mindless gaming instead of having to interact with them during dinner - but that's another subject. Where was I? Oh - insult. So I pay using the tablet and the server comes by, "Well aren't you on the ball! I see you figured that out!" I did! I did! - I also know how to check email, facetime AND post reviews on Yelp! To be fair, she didn't know that before retiring I managed an office that houses the second largest data center for the State of Tennessee and oversaw about a half of a million dollars worth of computer workstations, a 1.4 million dollar aerial camera and the staff to operate them... read more
