Workers are polite and friendly, and the establishment is clean. They charge $0.74/oz for self-serve frozen yogurt. When I visited, I didn't like most of their flavors (e.g. strawberry, green tart, mango, etc.). They were a bit too sweet for me, and some of those flavors had kind of like an artificial bubble gum flavor. I also felt like there was less variety of toppings here compared to another Red Mango location I visited, maybe because they seem to focus on having toppings that can be doubled up as toppings/add-ins for boba drinks (e.g. they have a lot of popping boba flavors, lychee jelly, etc.), which makes sense because this location is combined with Anda Boba. Came in today for tea and witnessed something that made me rethink my decision of coming here. While waiting for my drink, I saw a worker came out from the back and used a rag to clean something on the floor. This did not bother me. The next thing I saw was she used the same rag to wipe off the counter where the toppings for the yogurt are located. The woman then continued to use the tong to put the misplaced toppings in the correct containers without washing her hands. Um..first off..I don't mean to nitpick..but Genesis F's review, this Red Mango location is not "RIGHT NEXT TO" Queensborough Community College & Cardozo High School..loll It's actually a good 10-15min walk from either of those 2 schools..but you get my point. ;-) This is a great location..located right on Springfield, with plenty of free parking in the rear and if you're lucky..a few metered spots out in front. Standard selection of flavors. I usually get my go-to which is Pomegranate. Nice and tart, not too sweet! A few tables and seats in the front of the store if you wanna sit and relax while enjoying your frozen yogurt. They make drinks too, if you want to blend your frozen yogurt with some fruit. Naturally it does get pretty dead in the winter months, but in the summer, a very popular spot! read more

Went to this location around 7:30 pm and although they were closing at 8pm, they still were able to accommodate me and two other friends. There were two workers helping us out, and they made the process efficient and as quick as possible. We did ask if there were any bathrooms that customers could use, but they said that there were no bathrooms available for the customers. I got the regular sized cup and got the original and nutella flavored frozen yogurt. For toppings, I added the mochi, cheesecake, brownie sprinkle and a rainbow cake. I thought that all the toppings tasted good, especially the cheesecake and mochi. The original flavor did taste a bit more sour than I expected, but it was fine. I ended up paying around 9 dollars for my frozen yogurt and I felt like I did put too much onto my cup, but it was a filling dessert post dinner. Would recommend coming back to this location. Located just south of Horace Harding Expwy, it's a cinch to get to this location. This is a typical Red Mango and serves the standard assortment of flavors. It's fairly well maintained and features a few tables at which you can sit if you prefer to "dine in". One of the flavors I tried was Peanut Butter but I have to say it missed the mark and had a slightly weird aftertaste. Not sure what that was about but I hope that's addressed soon as I'm a huge fan of most things peanut butter. Pricing is currently at $0.59/oz so a regular sized cup that's filled up to the brim will set you back at least $5.00. More, if you add anything more than just a sprinkling of toppings. I'm hoping they swap in some new, creative flavors because not all the flavors appealed to me. The young staff were helpful although I thought it was odd that, when I asked for a sampling cup, the young lady behind the counter came out and filled the cup for me. Maybe that's a new thing as literally every other place in which I have asked for a sampling cup will hand you a couple of cups with which to serve yourself. Not sure if this is their way of going above and beyond to be of assistance or if they just didn't trust my son and me to not make a mess or abuse the sampling option. Came here to get my go-to smoothie, the mango tropical. I watched as the employee make my drink. For a large size she put mostly yogurt mix with a small scoop of fruit. My drink came out really pale (duh) I asked them to put more fruit because it tasted like completely a yogurt drink. She said no and that she followed the recipe. I would avoid this place. I went to self service myself and my 2 year old when we were waiting to pay I asked the lady for a spoon so my daughter would stop crying but she proceeded to keep the spoon even tho I asked her multiple times, once the payment was processed she gave me the spoon. I feel like this was out of pocket due to the fact that I had to serve myself so it wasn't like it the payment wasn't process she could have kept the item in the back. One of the worst locations to get an acai bowl from. There's literally only one scoop of granola.... there is no granola on the bottom of the bowl and just one scoop on top. Who the heck eats an acai bowl like this? It's definitely not what they advertised on their posters cause I can clearly see a lot of granola in that bowl. I love self-serve red mangos b/c I absolutely hate it when they put a giant hole in my froyo at non self serve places! This place is kept nice and clean. A worker comes out to help you with samples if you want to try anything so it doesn't get messy at the machines. They have 8ish flavors at a time. The toppings are abundant as well. They have mochi! I just wished they had berries other than strawberries when I came yesterday. It's still one of my favorite locations though. However, it's one of the self serve ones where you can pick your own cup size and make your own starting from pumping the frozen yogurt into your cup to adding whatever toppings you want. However, it does get pricey and definitely costs more than the places where they make it for you. I made my own parfait and it came out to almost $10. But I do definitely like that I can make my own since I can decide how much of each flavor to put and I can put multiple flavors in one cup. read more

First time at Red Mango and was not impressed. When I first entered, I made eye contact with an employee and instead of smiling, saying hello, or attempting to help me, she walked to the back. After a few minutes of being there and checking out the flavors, I wanted to try a flavor. I looked around and couldn't find anyone.. walked to the front counter and couldn't find anyone either so we decided to purchase some flavors without trying them. I got milk chocolate and it was very bland with a kick of sugar. If I was to describe this flavor, I'd say it tasted like water with a lot of sugar. Far from the taste of chocolate. However, I'm sure the flavor isn't their fault and all Red Mango locations probably taste the same. Fruits appeared fresh and also tasted fresh. I liked that all toppings were labeled. The interior looked well maintained and clean. Wasn't offered a rewards card but got one once I inquired, so if you want a rewards card, be sure to ask. They also accept CC and I don't believe there was a minimum purchase required. Overall, will be back to try other flavors and hopefully have a better experience. read more

This is a fairly standard red mango place EXCEPT for the fact that for whatever reason, the original tart formulation the last few times I've gotten it always has white residue in it. At best it's the result of improper mixture and at worst it's some leftover cleaning residue. Either way, fairly unappetizing. I've call them about it in the past and they've yet to correct it so I can only assume that they simply just don't care. Other flavors seem unaffected so I'd stick to those personally. read more

Ordered the chocolate Acai bowls and I know exactly what's in it because I always order this bowl and not only did they not out granola they put graham crackers in it but the chocolate was not the Nutella chocolate and instead they put the chocolate syrup on the top .. that is not the chocolate that goes with this bowl plus in top of that they only squirted a teeny amount of chocolate , changed the flavor of the bowl completely I'm so upset I couldn't bring it back as I ordered it on Uber eats !!!!!!! This is the best red mango place I have ever been too. Food: Its self serve with a lot of different varieties to choose from, almost like 16 handles but less handles. Who needs that many handles anyway? It just makes it more difficult. Self serve means you get more then what you would get normally so that is a double plus. The Red Mango on 188th used to be my go-to when I wanted some froyo in Fresh Meadows. However, after discovering that this location was self serve, I insisted my boyfriend drive the extra 4 minutes to this location. This location is self serve, meaning you can control how much (or how little), you want. Plus, they usually have about 8 flavors you can choose from/mix and match. They have someone offering samples of the flavors, so you can try before adding to your cup. Another reason I love this place more is they have a wider selection of toppings. Mochi? Yes please. Cheesecake bites, my fave! They even have the popping boba, which I'm not a fan of. The price is by weight, so you pay more if you put more into your cup. I believe it's about 49 cents per ounce, but don't quote me on it! There are a few seats to sit down and enjoy your froyo, but on a nice day, it doesn't hurt to walk outside to eat either. read more

There's no question I love Frozen Yogurt, and was extremely happy to find out they served a Strawberry Greek option. When I walked in, I was greeted by the staff and an offer to try samples of my choice. The associate was very receptive to giving recommendations, and gave decent sized samples. She was friendly and helpful. They have decent flavors at this location, but nothing too unique. Self serve is a plus. The place is clean and there are a variety of toppings. However the place is a bit too small. If you go during the school year there are a bunch of high school kids who just lingers around inside and outside the store. I usually get it to go but once in a while when there is no one in the store, I like to sit down with my friends and enjoy the froyo! There's also samples too, you just have to ask for them. There are also smaller little stores near there like Subways, Chinese food, pizza etc I always end up spending more than $10. I have a fruity and a non-fruity usual. Every time I go the employees always ask me if I would like to try a flavor. They keep the place pretty clean. I come here often. My fav 2 flavors are pomegranate and white peach. I went today pretty late and they were cleaning the white peach already. It's ok, my husband decided to try the acai (idk if that's spelled right) bowl. I didn't love it but I never had one before so there's nothing I have to compare it too. Yo.... this Fro Yo is great!!!! They usually have two sizes. One is slightly smaller than the other huge one. I usually get the smaller one. They have 6-8 different flavors every time I go. You get to swirl it into your cup by yourself. You may also mix as many flavors as you'd like. Once you have put in your yogurt flavors there is a topping bar with unlimited choices. Chocolates, gummy, fruits, and bobas are just a few. There are many more. The prices are moderate and I've never had an experience where the price is outrageous which is good. The people who work there are super nice. There is one specific man who is consistently in there. One great experience was when my friend and I rode there in our bikes, even though there was a bike stand near by, this kind man allowed both of us to park our bikes in the back of the store. I mean...it doesn't get much nicer than that. Unfortunately I forgot the mans name, but he was still super nice to us. The seating is a little tight so at times it could be slightly uncomfortable to sit there and eat but if that is the case you can take your fro yo to go yo!!! Lol.
