7/4 I can't tell you the last time I had red mango, wait, I think it was 2015. Today I was in the area and said why not go inside and enjoy a FROYO- that's frozen yogurt.... For the people that didn't get the acronym. I mean I had good reasons to be in there. I haven't had Red Mango in a long time, they are tasty, AND... It was hot out. The facility was pretty clean and tidy, customer were pouring in. I followed suite with a small amount of of peanut butter froyo with almonds, walnuts, and almond butter topping. It was really delicious and it had a slight peanut butter taste, not too dominant and it didn't taste artificial. The toppings complimented this FROYO and gave it that extra umph! The young lady associate was very energetic and enthusiastic on this hot forth of July! I commend her in how she handled the crowd all by her lonesome. I felt really bad for her because one customer made a mess, but despite the mess, the crowd, and working alone she remained serene. I give her a standing ovation, a job well done, and she didn't asked if the order was to go, I think she used the old Jedi mind trick and said, this is to stay right. I contemplated quickly and accessed the scorching heat outside and obliged with yes. I really didn't want to eat and drive. By dining in, the FROYO was even better and more enjoyable. I came to this location since it was close to Target. It is conveniently located in a strip mall so there is a ton of parking. The place was very clean. I got vanilla frozen yogurt with brownie bites and chocolate chips as toppings. It came to a little over $9. The cashier was friendly; greeted me as I entered through the door and had a smile on her face the whole time. I would definitely come back to this location. read more

Red Mango in shopping center New Hyde Park NY, has Nathaly. Give the girl a raise- she sells the product with energy and smiles. Taro a special flavor not always there. She showed me a picture of the Corm . (root) She gave me a taste cup. I found it quite delicious. Something new I hadn't known of or tried. I also added a fresh juice called sweet kale immunity, made with kale apple carrot, lemon and orange. Thing is I was able to taste each flavor in the mix. They do have an order on line as well. Red Mango is my thing. I prefer a yogurt over an ice cream. You have the option to taste before you commit. They have about 14 flavors of self pour options that you can combine to your taste. Flavors range from an original with a hint of sweet and tart (my fave), coconut, mango, pomegranate, chocolate, coffee...there's something for your palette. Toppings range from granola, oats, brown sugar options , fresh fruits like mangos, strawberries, raspberry...as well as shredded coconuts and candy options such as Twix, Kit Kat etc. At the counter, your completed the design is weighed. I love to come here whenever I'm shopping at lake success. They have several different flavors of frozen yogurt available but I tend to be boring and stick to what I know and I love the original flavor. The interior is quite cozy and I love the new sandwich options they have here as well. Also if you want bananas in your fro-yo just ask the cashier and they'll cut it up for you fresh. The only thing that needs to be improved are the couches. They had a giant piece of fabric laid out to cover up the couch which seemed a bit weird, so I'm hoping it's just temporary. Other than that I really love coming here and I'm always greeted by someone whenever I enter. Will be back! read more

Wow sooooo I did NOT know that you could get soft serve froyo and that you could do the toppings yourself. So I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in in Sunday with my two teenagers. One of them was like hell no. The other was like BOBA!! You can't please em all I guess. They won me over. Clean with hand sanitizer everywhere. Crazy flavors from cereal to fruits I think like 6 different froyo flavors and maybe like 40/50 toppings. Weight your order (this kid got his go the top and it was only like $5). Boom. My daughter loves Red Mango so we go sometimes. The only issue today was that they didn't have my favorite flavor which is honey. My daughter mixed chocolate and Nutty potion which has Nutella in it. She goes for the sweeter toppings and I try to keep it healthier with fruit but whatever your preference, they have a good Variety of both kinds. Don't forget to ask for honey on top and be ready to dig deep into your wallet. It cost $17.00 for 2 yogurts. read more

the desert is great! but its covid actions are a bit weird. All the condiments are open and anyone can access it like a buffet and the spoons are not individually packaged. This place is pretty good. Love the spacious seating area and their frozen yogurt is always fresh and delicious. They usually have a flavor of the month. I love the refreshing peach flavor. It is always so much fun that is self serve and you get to put your own toppings on. Me and my daughter love the gummy bear toppings!!! Just be careful with your portions because everything adds up quick and I have been surprised at the price one or twice when the yogurt was weighed! They could probably do a better job at wiping down the tables. It is nice that they have a flat screen TV to watch while you sit to enjoy your treat. Probably the best Red Mango and fro-yo place, in general, in the area. They a have clean, roomy store and on nice days like today they have seating out on the sidewalk in front of the store as well. They also have one of the largest selections of flavors from which to choose. In addition, they have plenty of additional toppings that you can add. If you are not in the mood for frozen yogurt, there are other things that you can munch on as well, including their much ballyhooed smoothies. I'm a fan of sweet and creamy fro-yo flavors and they have at least a handful of those from which you can choose. They also have several other refreshing fruity flavors and rotate in anywhere from 2 to 3 different/new/imited time only flavors, so you don't have to get the same thing each time. My family and I are hoping that the nice, warm weather sticks around for awhile longer so that we can make any excuse to come back to this Red Mango a few more times before winter comes roaring back. read more

When I went to pay for my yogurt using my American Express card, the cashier asked me if I had a different card to use .. o said no And asked her if the business didn't accept Amex She never responded to me, she took my card in the card went through! I had a craving for something fruity after I finished my workout at LA Fitness which is just across the street. There was only one person working, so I had a short wait. But, he did acknowledge me as I waited at the register as he finished other orders. My order was later taken without issue, and made perfectly to my liking. Service was friendly. This red mango was the worst I've ever been to. the yogurt was icy and the manager said it was because the pipes are frozen. they are concerned with covid procedures and don't let you sample the yogurt. however, there is no toilet paper and no soap in their bathrooms. The smoothie menu and the sandwich menu is also convenient to have. The froyo here isn't anything crazy good but it's tasty enough for a chain. A nice place to get a less guilt inducing and healthier treat. Decent amount of toppings too, they have fruit, boba, and of course chocolates and crushed up candy bars. I have been frequenting this Red Mango location for at least 3 years. Since the start or 2020 this location has been going downhill. It is always absolutely filthy. The "original" flavor tastes different every time I visit. It used to be my favorite flavor. Tonight it just tasted like glue. It was completely inedible. The entire floor was so sticky with visible stains and I couldn't even walk. The employees were not cleaning. He was busy chasing his girlfriend, running in the store, and lifting her up in his arms, in front of the customer. Not to mention this location is almost always empty, and I visit at different times. Please try to keep it clean and please check and see if the "original" flavor is being made and stored properly. read more

Not sure what happened to this place. It's a shame because I used to come here all the time when it first opened, and I've always felt very satisfied with my frozen yogurt experience. However, I've noticed this Red Mango recently becoming very unsanitary. The couch is ripped and some cheap cloth has been placed over it to cover the rips up. The floor is always a mess- it's sticky everywhere, and the garbage is overflowing. Makes me wonder if anyone's even cleaning up and taking care of the place. It could really use a makeover. Quality of the frozen yogurt has declined as well, and I never see the same employees working here. Absolutely horrible customer service - the assistant manager has no idea on how to work in a retail environment. Being a patron of this location for the last year I've always found the quality of the product to be consistent and have never had an issue. However, on my last visit 1 of the flavors I ordered didn't taste right. When I went to the counter to exchange the manager could only offered me a 10% discount on my next purchase. Since I wanted yogurt now I was forced to re-purchase the yogurt again. Yup, paying twice for 1 serving. When trying to discuss how absurd I thought this was the manager said "since you're so cheap I will give you the $8 out of my own pocket". Obviously I didn't take it and obviously this manager has absolutely no real customer service experience. I run a retail store and I would never think or allow my self or employees to talk to a customer like that. I understand we all have a bad day from time to time but unfortunately when working in retail we always have to be polite, friendly and accommodating. I used to LOVE this place. Now I get knots in my stomach every time I come. PRO - self serve, tons of flavors/toppings, in a shopping center so plenty of parking. Ample seating with tvs. CONS - barely there staff (writing this review while I sit in RM). At the moment there is one person working here. Staff usually has an attitude. You used to have all the self serve cups on the counter to try flavors. Now, they have to get them for you and give you a tiny drop in the cup. I know people abused the freebies but I gotta tell ya, back then this place was busier. The ambiance just doesn't feel welcoming.
