For a limited time, they have a "Biscuits with the Boss" flavor as a collab with Ted Lasso. I was feeling something fruity so I went with Watermelon Taffy and Goat Cheese with Red Cherries. The half scoop needs to be a thing at more ice cream shops because it is the PERFECT portion! I loved that I could try two flavors without feeling stuffed. Goat Cheese with Red Cherries - very rich and creamy with just enough of the tart cherry to balance out the goat cheese. Watermelon Taffy - almost like a sorbet with watermelon flavor. So refreshing! The little waffle cone piece on the side was a great way to add crunchiness. Every flavor at Jeni's is so fun and interesting. I can't wait to stop in again!

I sampled five flavors and my top three were the Hibiscus Chili Punch, Summer Berries + Passion fruit, and the Watermelon Taffy. The staff member that helped us was very kind, informative, and enthusiastic. He was very open about the flavors and was not shy to tell us what might be too sweet. I wish we came earlier in the day because we got there 30 minutes before closing and they were already in the process of cleaning up. The store still had a super cute color theme going on and it was very clean. We sat at the window barstools while we finished out single scoop. One unique thing about Jeni's is that they serve each flavor by the half scoop, so one scoop automatically defaults to two different flavors!

So glad we decided to come back after our lunch. The ice cream was some of the best we've ever had and the staff were super friendly. We sampled three different kinds and decided to get 2 scoops of honeycomb and 1 scoop of corn. Yes, corn does sound weird for ice cream but it was an interesting choice. While I wouldn't get just the corn ice cream, it paired well with the honeycomb. There were chewy pieces of corn in the ice cream which was a fun treat. The real star was the honeycomb ice cream though. Just wow! You have to get this. I promise you won't regret it. It was a nice day and we opted to sit outside the shop on a bench and eat our ice cream. This was a wonderful ending to our day in Philly.

Gran Caffè L'Aquila offers authentic Italian cuisine, and everything we ordered on both visits was delicious and beautifully prepared. We truly enjoyed every dish we tried. The restaurant itself is small, cozy, and full of charm, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. And a special mention must go to Simone. He is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. His warm and professional service made both of our visits even more enjoyable, and we were delighted to have him as our waiter again. We will definitely be returning to Gran Caffè L'Aquila, and we certainly hope Simone will still be there to welcome us. Authentic Italian food, a charming atmosphere, and wonderful service -- a place we are very happy to have discovered.

There were two young girls working the windows. I told her I'd never had these before and then I opted for the gelati which is like a icee (slurpee, think 7-11) and layered with custard or a harder version of softserve.
