You pretty much have to take whatever you get to go, there isn't really any seating either inside or out. No biggie, I wasn't planning on eating there anyway so it's all good. There is an outdoor seating area kind of fended off however there were no seats or tables or anything in the area. I just got a small (LOL small - dang thing was YUGE!!!!) cup of salted caramel pretzel ice cream. It was about 6 bucks so it's kind of pricey however it was also very good! This place doesn't just do ice cream - they have a regular food menu too of fries and burgers etc etc so even though there were people ahead of me, due to them ordering fries and sandwiches etc I didn't have to wait because they made up my ice cream right away. Only problem was the lady in the party ahead of me had also, as part of their order, ordered a small cup of salted caramel pretzels ice cream so she took my ice cream!! Nobody realized it until she saw the name "Mike" on the order slip. No prob - the staff quickly scooped up some more of that tasty ice cream and put it in a cup for me and I was on my way. Honestly I feel shame for having eaten the whole thing, I should have done it in about 3 sittings or found 2-3 other fully grown adults with whom to share this giant pile of ice cream. 5 stars definitely will have again if I'm in the Philly area. read more

A really nice little ice cream shop in south Philly! I came here the other day and got some great ice cream. Service here is quick and very friendly. The Ice cream-options are really good and they give you a lot of ice cream. This place is definitely worth a visit. You will get your money's worth for sure. A small is $3 and you get a huge amount of their ice cream. I highly recommend a visit. There is outdoor seating and indoor seating when there isn't covid. I was craving an Oreo milkshake and looked for a spot nearby. Right around the corner from where I lived seemed like the perfect spot. It was empty when I walked in. You have to ring a bell to get buzzed in. I was acknowledged quickly. They have a few arcade games scattered around. No prices on the menu. But they serve food as well as ice cream, water ice etc. there are a ton of flavors to choose from. I should've just got the cookies & cream milk shake but salted caramel pretzel caught my eye. I asked to have the two flavors mixed in my milkshake. I don't know if they only have 1 size or if they gave me whatever size they wanted I paid $7.29 for a 24 ounce shake. Which isn't bad if it was good. Too much milk, too sweet and freezer burn. Also though I saw cookie pieces in it it didn't taste at all like cookies and cream. The salted Carmel pretzel was very overwhelming and not in a good way. I don't know what brand of ice cream is used but I wouldn't order another milkshake without trying the flavors first. I eyeballed The Perfect Scoop after completing a run. With it being right across the street from my hotel, the Radisson Hotel Philadelphia I was bound to visit at some point during my weekend stay for some ice cream. Though none were a bothersome, it appeared to be a hangout spot for high school students late in the evening hours. I encountered many of them during my visit which was on a Friday night within the final hour of closing time. I was acknowledged by the employee behind the counter as soon as I walked up to the menu which featured ice cream, then helped immediately after I identified my preferred ice cream flavor. The Perfect Scoop has nearly 27 ice cream flavors to choose from on their menu. I nearly ordered a Rocky Road ice cream but ended up ordering a Caramel Cheesecake because it is a flavor I rarely get; it is also one of those flavors that is not as basic as Rocky Road as well. I did love that the employee gave me the opportunity to taste the flavor before I made my decision. During this visit, I wish I would have known beforehand that The Perfect Scoop had appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and hoagies on their menu because I probably would have ordered a meal with my ice cream. In closing the Caramel Cheesecake tasted exactly how I imagined. It was satisfyingly good, size and taste wise. With that, I would surely visit The Perfect Scoop again during any of my ventures to Philadelphia. absolutely stay away from this rip off joint. no prices on menu board. went there with a friend &ordered a banana split with 3 scoops and i specifically asked if i could choose my flavors and was told yes. what they don't tell you is the seemingly random upcharges for each flavor you pick. my friend got a "banana cup ". there were extra charges for wet nuts and hot fudge and banana pudding and "vanilla bean".....THE FLYER CLEARLY SAYS "YOUR CHOICE OF ICE CREAM" BUT NOWHERE DOI SEE ANY MENTION OF UPCHARGES!!! i looked at the counter flyer menu for pricing and went by that. what i thought would be under 20 dollars turned out to be over 26 dollars!! i complained and asked why is the price so high and was told the counter flyer had old prices. i asked "so, how are customers supposed to know what the charges are before ordering" and was told by the man i should have asked the counter girl!!! WHAT?? absolutely ridiculous policy then i asked for a reciept and was horrified to at all the upcharges... i told the guy his business practices were unfair to customers and he should disclose how much his ice cream costs!! Everyone is friendly and the generous portions never disappoint! The milkshakes with malt and buffalo chicken eggrolls are my favorite.

I was in the area and needed to pick up some food before I went home. I ordered two cheesesteaks, one plain and one with fried peppers and fried onions. The wait time for the order was about 10 minutes or so. The staff was polite. The inside of the establishment was clean. The cheesesteaks were pretty good. The bread was fresh and the steak was tasty. I would recommend checking the Perfect Scoop out if you need a bite to eat. I'll have to try the ice cream next time I'm in the neighborhood. read more

My sister is pregnant and craving funnel cake. Found this place on Yelp (closest to our location). I called to be sure they had it, they said they have "funnel cake sticks" (it's funnel cake but in the shape of fries not round cakes). Delivery takes hour and a half every single time even for like 2 ice cream cones. Not to mention the food comes and smells like a straight cigarette. If your driver takes that long to make a delivery at least tell him not to smoke 1000 cigs while making his rides. Disgusting won't be ordering again. read more
