Checked out Red Note Rhythm Games on a weekend evening and had such a fun time. We did the $9/hour game pass, which was already a great deal and even better with the 20% student discount. There's a solid variety of rhythm games here. Everything from dance-heavy games like DDR to instrumental favorites like Guitar Hero, plus plenty in between. It really feels like there's something for everyone, no matter what kind of rhythm games you're into, and the hour flew by. There were plenty of thoughtful touches, too: water bottle filling stations near the bathrooms and plenty of seating throughout for breaks or setting down your stuff. You gotta stop by here if you're a rhythm game fan! Red Note Rhythm Games is an arcade dedicated solely to rhythm games, mostly Japanese ones--we're talking DDR World/A3, Pump it Up Phoenix, ITG, StepMania, Dancerush, etc. and that's just the dancing games. There's a whole other section with the "hand" rhythm games (i don't know what to call them lol) like Groove Coaster, Pop'n'Music, Beatmania, Chunithm, and more. I really appreciate that the two types of rhythm games are separated so that you can hear your game's music easier. Overall, this is a rhythm game fan's heaven! As a bonus, there's a random Initial D machine in the corner, which I spent some time on. :) You pay by time; 9$ gets you an hour of play, 13$ gets you two hours, and $18 for an all-day pass. They have lots of other options too, including a monthly subscription if you come often. These prices are great considering how much a single game would cost at a Round1 or Dave & Busters. They also sell the cards for $6.50 that let you create accounts on the games like e-amusement, aime, banana passport or whatever, and so forth. Special shoutout to the really kind staff member that helped us on the day we went. We got two 2-hour cards, and started playing DDR World. Unfortunately, I think they were having power issues, because our game shut off abruptly, and so did the Pump it Up machine on the other side. The staff brought the power back on quickly, but it happened again, so they gave us another free 2 hours on our cards, which was super nice!! We stumbled upon this place on a short trip to Vegas, and we really wish we had one of these kinds of places back in LA. Support your local small arcades and scenes!!! read more

Incredible haven for Rhythm Gamers. For $9 dollars, you can get an hour of unrestricted playtime. For $13 dollars, you get two hours. It's very affordable and I had an absolute blast working up a sweat on my favorite cabinets. They had 4 (FOUR!!) Chunithm cabinets, and I was pleasantly surprised by Ongeki being there as well! It's just the one Ongeki machine, but I didn't expect it to be there at all. It's a very clean facility. None of the machines i touched and played on felt sweaty or grimy, and in front of all of the dancing games, there are fans for you to turn on. The place is also very spacious, so it never smells sweaty either and there's plenty of breathing room. There was also a wide selection of couches and side tables for you to sit. My visit was on a Wednesday, so the place was quiet and really felt like a playground just for me. I will become a repeat customer for sure. read more

Great place for rhythm game fans. Multiple DDR and pump it up machines. In the groove with custom packs. A full rock band style room. Beat saber vr. And around 2 dozen other Japanese rhythm games including jubeat and many others. To top it off they even have 2 sit down Initial D racing cabinets. Paying is done by the hour (theres a discount if you get 2 hours), play as much as you want till your time runs out, and they have a play all you want monthly option if you come a lot. They also have game cards for many of the titles allowing you to save progress on games that allow that. The only possible down side is if you really want to play a specific game that only has one copy there. I brought a few friends who were visiting from out of town and one wanted to do the custom rock band room but one guy was in there almost the whole hour we were there and he didn't get to try it. My fiance and I stopped here on our trip thru Vegas, and were so happy with this place. We got there on a Tuesday which happens to be when they have their $10 all day deal. We were probably there playing for 3 hours. We are a huge fan of In the Groove. Their machine had so many songs (we were especially happy with the vocaloid selection) they have so many machines but we liked some more than others. The staff is super nice and they have cold water available if you like to dance and sweat like us lol. This place is awesome!!! $20 for all you can play for the day. They have a bunch of machines - ddr, beatmania, sound voltex, initial d zero, wacca, dancerush, in the groove, VR, stepmania, pump it up prime 2, and much more! We only got 2 hour pass for $15 cuz we had to leave soon, but if you are a rhythm game fanatic there is definitely enough games to play to keep you busy (and burn calories!) Only recommendations I would have is having hot food and cold food/drink vending machines w/ big assortment like they do in Game Centers in japan (e.g. make ur own ramen, various energy drinks, etc...). Also, they don't provide gloves for each of the machines, so you would need to bring those urself. Also, the place looks like a commercial office that they repurposed to be a rhythm game arcade (would be cool if they did more decoration). Overall 5/5 for value and fun! Probably the BEST rhythm game place I've went to. It's always super clean, the staff is always there as soon as you need them, (seriously, everyone is SUPER nice there) and the game selection is stellar. (begging for some taiko though, haha) However, there's one reason why Im giving it four stars. Half of the time, there's always SOMEONE on the same machine for a long, long period of time. and I totally get that! All of us are having fun and you're probably coming here for a specific machine. But PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE add a time limit for games that only have one machine. sometimes when I come, I only get to play a couple games since the same people do NOT move from their machine. again, I totally get it. but at the same time, people need to be considerate and realize that they're not at their own house and not on their own machine. It bums me out sometimes on not being able to go on specific machines since people are there on the same machine 24/7. I like it here. They are very clean. Hand sanitizers, a water dispenser (like the ones in gyms). The person at the front is kind, and it is lovely that there are plenty of chairs, tables, and sofas around. Not only that, but there is free wifi. The bathrooms are also really clean and each kind of game is in sections. read more

THIS PLACE IS EVERYTHING I COULD EVER ASK FOR !! As someone who frequents G@me N3st for their rhythm game collection, this is such a nice alternative as G@me N3st can get really loud with all the different types of games and people around. So if the noise volume is something that is important whether it be for overstimulation reasons or just personal preference, please give this place a try! The employee for the night was so kind and helpful (I didn't catch her name ) and was very welcoming towards someone like me who had came for the very first time. The place was very clean and put together, with multiple seating areas of couches and chairs and even a little water station to get some free water if needed (extra important detail as this place primarily has games like DDR. Always stay hydrated!) One of the big selling points honestly is their Beat Saber console. As someone who never got to play when G@meworks had it and have always wanted to play, it was so much fun to finally try it out. The exact pricing leaves me at this moment, but the prices are indeed a very great deal as I believe the all day pass is only $18 and everything else is below that. Please take the time to come and try out this place! It legit feels like heaven to me and I want nothing more than this place to flourish so I can continue to get my rhythm game fix. read more
