I recently moved here from South Florida and where I live at in Covington there's not so many Asian options and so I saw this place going down Salem Road and I was like wow I love Thai food so I decided to give them a try. I ordered takeout ahead through their website. I got those spicy basil fried rice with chicken and I also got the tom yum soup with shrimp and I also got the papaya salad. I asked for medium heat and I wish I would've said a little bit more hotter cause I definitely could've tolerated a little bit more. The fried rice was good. The soup was delicious as well, however I think I only had like three pieces of shrimp in there which was a little bit disappointing and it wasn't like jumbo shrimp. It was like small baby shrimp type of thing and then the papaya salad was really good too. I did have green beans just like little specs of green beans, which I thought was odd because I've never seen green beans in my papaya salad but again every place is different, but it was definitely good. I definitely will come back again to check out their other food options and hopefully I get some more shrimp in my soup lol

It's an intimate spot. The service was great. The server was nice and greeted me immediately even though she was grabbing something for another customer. The chef/manager was nice too. He came out to correct how she entered my order. I loved that he did it discreetly without making her feel bad. I ordered the Thai Fried Rice with Beef for my daughter and the Pad See Ew with Shrimp (Medium Spice) for myself. We both enjoyed our meal. I loved how fresh my veggies were. I will definitely try them again.

I've literally waited 20 years to try this place (known if it never went) until my buddy spoke highly of their Basil Duck. On the day I tried it, I didn't have a whole lot of time, so I ordered a to -go Pad Si Ew with beef. It came a few minutes after the stated "10 minutes", (15 minutes, but that is 50 % longer than promised) however it came out piping hot, bagged and ready to go with a nice side of a coconut mushroom soup that I did not expect. Inside was nicely decorated and in keeping with what I consider to be traditional. The outside is nice and neat, very clean, and in a convenient outdoor shopping area with convenient parking. 5 stars. Value here is more of a 2 stars situation. Lunch was listed as $15.95 (including the beef option). I always tip at least 10% on a carry out, but shame on me, the had already added that but didn't say anything, nor did I read it anywhere, but I tipped on top of that and should not have. So basically with entree, tax, tip,.....and tip, I was at $20 for a lunch. To go. 3 stars on my food. The food quality was good, though I did not care for the soup. It was so seaweed heavy, funky, different, that I poured it out. The Pad Si Ew was good, but needed Soy sauce. There was none to be found in the bag. None on the counter to pack. Oh well. I'll go try the Basil Duck next time. And probably sit down for a more in depth look.

This is a review in two parts - I was pleasantly surprised…read moreto drive by and see a Thai restaurant I wasn't aware of in a town I visit monthly. Part 1: There just aren't a lot of good restaurants in Greensboro that I've found (outside the Reynolds area), so when it comes to a Greensboro sit-down restaurant, this place is a great option for a clean, attractive dining room with tasty food that beats much in the area. For a town like Greensboro, it is a 4 star restaurant. Part 2: I love Thai food. My wife's family is Thai so I am spoiled having my mother in law making the best Thai food ever. Moreover, we regularly eat at Thai restaurants at least weekly. As far as Thai restaurants go, I'd give the restaurant 2.5 stars. It is simply too bland (and Americanized) to compete with great Thai spots. Serving size wasn't great either. That is why I am saying 3 stars overall. Maybe 3.5. It's great for Greensboro but not on par with other Thai food I've experienced.

The pineapple fried rice and traditional Thai iced tea were simply amazing in terms of flavor and taste. My parents also ordered the pad Thai, which was equally delectable. The service at Lamai Ban Thai Kitchen was consistently attentive and professional. The young lady who served us last night was particularly noteworthy. Not only was we very well-cared for, but we also felt like we were part of a welcoming business establishment. If you're seeking the finest Thai cuisine in Greene County or the Lake Oconee area, Lamai Ban Thai Kitchen is an absolute must-visit! Very casual place to have a very casual diner will definitely be back in the near future! Thank you so much
