I recently moved here from South Florida and where I live at in Covington there's not so many Asian options and so I saw this place going down Salem Road and I was like wow I love Thai food so I decided to give them a try. I ordered takeout ahead through their website. I got those spicy basil fried rice with chicken and I also got the tom yum soup with shrimp and I also got the papaya salad. I asked for medium heat and I wish I would've said a little bit more hotter cause I definitely could've tolerated a little bit more. The fried rice was good. The soup was delicious as well, however I think I only had like three pieces of shrimp in there which was a little bit disappointing and it wasn't like jumbo shrimp. It was like small baby shrimp type of thing and then the papaya salad was really good too. I did have green beans just like little specs of green beans, which I thought was odd because I've never seen green beans in my papaya salad but again every place is different, but it was definitely good. I definitely will come back again to check out their other food options and hopefully I get some more shrimp in my soup lol

Ok, so I'm definitely gonna give them another chance, I wasn't vastly dissatisfied with this first…read moretime, I just wasn't wowed. I've literally waited 20 years to try this place (known if it never went) until my buddy spoke highly of their Basil Duck. On the day I tried it, I didn't have a whole lot of time, so I ordered a to -go Pad Si Ew with beef. It came a few minutes after the stated "10 minutes", (15 minutes, but that is 50 % longer than promised) however it came out piping hot, bagged and ready to go with a nice side of a coconut mushroom soup that I did not expect. Inside was nicely decorated and in keeping with what I consider to be traditional. The outside is nice and neat, very clean, and in a convenient outdoor shopping area with convenient parking. 5 stars. Value here is more of a 2 stars situation. Lunch was listed as $15.95 (including the beef option). I always tip at least 10% on a carry out, but shame on me, the had already added that but didn't say anything, nor did I read it anywhere, but I tipped on top of that and should not have. So basically with entree, tax, tip,.....and tip, I was at $20 for a lunch. To go. 3 stars on my food. The food quality was good, though I did not care for the soup. It was so seaweed heavy, funky, different, that I poured it out. The Pad Si Ew was good, but needed Soy sauce. There was none to be found in the bag. None on the counter to pack. Oh well. I'll go try the Basil Duck next time. And probably sit down for a more in depth look.

Fast nice servers, cute quaint Thai restaurant…read more The food came out fast and I enjoyed it, and not too shabby pricing- with good amount of options on the menu too! There isn't much options for different sauces, but I did enjoy my food and the experience here.

The larb salad is incredible (I get it with chicken), as well as the ginger salad, clear soup, tom yum, chicken satay skewers, beef noodle soup, basically everything. My dad swears by the pad see ew and my grandparents love the massaman and penang curries. I hadn't had much (if any) Thai food before trying Mama Ning's, but now I am hooked and honestly it's become probably my favorite overall cuisine in general! Whenever I visit I know I can trust it will be fresh and I can get something healthy but also incredibly tasty. Plus they use gluten-free soy sauce so it makes my life a lot easier aha. Thank you for your amazing food, service, and atmosphere! I already know I'm coming later this week haha

Very disappointing experience today. We ordered several things and our order was correct -but that…read moreis the best thing I can say for it. The others in our group might have liked their menu items -so they can write their own Yelp reviews. My choice was the Thom Kai soup and I ended up throwing it away. There was a grayish watery, somewhat sweet soup broth without the coconut flavor expected in this soup. There were some small pieces of chicken and there were raw mushroom slices floating on top of the broth. I was so disappointed because I was expecting a rich traditional broth- full of the flavor of coconut and other spices. I would not order this again and I won't be going back there soon.
