I recently moved here from South Florida and where I live at in Covington there's not so many Asian options and so I saw this place going down Salem Road and I was like wow I love Thai food so I decided to give them a try. I ordered takeout ahead through their website. I got those spicy basil fried rice with chicken and I also got the tom yum soup with shrimp and I also got the papaya salad. I asked for medium heat and I wish I would've said a little bit more hotter cause I definitely could've tolerated a little bit more. The fried rice was good. The soup was delicious as well, however I think I only had like three pieces of shrimp in there which was a little bit disappointing and it wasn't like jumbo shrimp. It was like small baby shrimp type of thing and then the papaya salad was really good too. I did have green beans just like little specs of green beans, which I thought was odd because I've never seen green beans in my papaya salad but again every place is different, but it was definitely good. I definitely will come back again to check out their other food options and hopefully I get some more shrimp in my soup lol

    Menu. Reasonable prices

The servers were very nice and attentive to me and my guests. I order the Thai chicken wings and they were so good. They had other items on their menu I would like to try, so I'll be bac

There's nothing about Covington, GA that screams Thai Food and Eat Here but my sense of adventure…read moreand chase for the perfect Tom kha gai soup gets the best of me! A dear friend and I met here for lunch and had an enjoyable meal. Amazingly, you can have a conversation in the place... there's no over produced blaring music acting as a distraction. We were served one of my favorite table snacks when we were seated- prawn chips- and ordered from the lunch menu... which comes with a couple of soup choices- yes, you guessed it- Tom kha gai! Very reasonably priced and the service was on point. Is it a Michelin worthy place- no, however, the combination of service, price, and food quality earns all five stars in my book!

He proceeds to hit on me when I made it very clear I wasn't interested and just wanted to get my food. I wish the nightmare ended then but when I got home and opened the containers, there was a rancid smell coming from the rice and lo and behold they served me moldy rice. Mind you, rice costs pennies to make. The rest of the food was also below average, below mediocre. It's disappointing too bc there's not a lot of Thai options in the area so you'd think the owners would want to be the best to retain their customers. Awful awful awful.

This is a review in two parts - I was pleasantly surprised…read moreto drive by and see a Thai restaurant I wasn't aware of in a town I visit monthly. Part 1: There just aren't a lot of good restaurants in Greensboro that I've found (outside the Reynolds area), so when it comes to a Greensboro sit-down restaurant, this place is a great option for a clean, attractive dining room with tasty food that beats much in the area. For a town like Greensboro, it is a 4 star restaurant. Part 2: I love Thai food. My wife's family is Thai so I am spoiled having my mother in law making the best Thai food ever. Moreover, we regularly eat at Thai restaurants at least weekly. As far as Thai restaurants go, I'd give the restaurant 2.5 stars. It is simply too bland (and Americanized) to compete with great Thai spots. Serving size wasn't great either. That is why I am saying 3 stars overall. Maybe 3.5. It's great for Greensboro but not on par with other Thai food I've experienced.

Lamai Ban Thai Kitchen, located on Carey Station, was a delightful surprise for my parents and me…read more I had been researching this place for quite some time, and I was eager to try it out. The pineapple fried rice and traditional Thai iced tea were simply amazing in terms of flavor and taste. My parents also ordered the pad Thai, which was equally delectable. The service at Lamai Ban Thai Kitchen was consistently attentive and professional. The young lady who served us last night was particularly noteworthy. Not only was we very well-cared for, but we also felt like we were part of a welcoming business establishment. If you're seeking the finest Thai cuisine in Greene County or the Lake Oconee area, Lamai Ban Thai Kitchen is an absolute must-visit! Very casual place to have a very casual diner will definitely be back in the near future! Thank you so much
