I've been going to Lee the manager/owner for a couple years, mainly at her other nail salon in the west covina mall, but now she only works at this location. She's the only one I've found that does my nails exactly how I like them without me having to tell her much. I get my nails done very narrow, and I mean verrry narrow, and most nail techs have no idea how to do this, but Lee rocks em'. She also fits me in all the time at the last minute, since its so hard for me to make appointments ahead of time. read more

This place should be your last resort, like it's Friday and it's right near your job and you won't make it anywhere else in time and your nails are so hideous that you just can't go out tonight without getting them done! Those are the circumstances under which you should choose this spot. No friendly service, way overpriced (they just tried charging $18 for a gel polish change!!! Wtf!) and the actual salon is nothing special. Bottom line is that you can get your nails done at countless different places so why go here when they don't care to offer you any special service? read more

Lee does my nails oh so perfectly ;) let me tell you, i'm not easy to please. make sure you call in for an appointment with her because she tends to be pretty booked. Amy is good also! What makes this place stand out is the quality of their products. My nails don't turn yellow like they do when i had it done at another place. one time i messed up my nails two days after leaving the salon and they acutally fixed it for me, free of charge!!! they don't reuse heel filers ( i think that's what they're called??) so i always take mine home. if you're looking for a clean, local nail salon, try this place out! i agree with the other reviewer that some of the girls who work there (not all) don't know how to smile....just let lee know!! she can fire them! :D seriously though, she has signs up with her cell phone number for you to call if there's anything you're unhappy about. ******THIS SALON DOES NOT STERILIZE TOOLS********* I had a manicure and pedicure and thought the girls did a good job until 2 days after the pedicure, I noticed an infection in the corner of my big toe. I didn't think much of it and cleaned it with alcohol and put ointment on it. A couple of days later it began throbbing so I decided to go to urgent care. The doctor numbed my toe and made a small incision to drain the pus/infection! Needless to say I will never go back and warn all those who are considering any services here. read more

I was so in love with this place at first. I highly recommended it and was coming here for a little under a year. Service was great and my nails were beautiful until one day... I have never been treated so rudely in my entire life. I was getting my nails done by Lee, who was my go to and usually fine. She threw a nail tool at me and told me to do my own nails just because I was wincing while she removed my acrylic nails. That hurts some times but I wasn't making a sound or saying anything. And I asked if I needed a new set and she snapped at me and told me, "if you needed a new set I would've told you and why would I give you one if you can't even handle removing one nail (it had broken and needed to be replaced, which actually happened often when i got my nails done here). The manager was sitting right there, heard everything and didn't say a word. They would gyp me and give me a new set every other visit! So glad I found a new place. read more

After moving to the area about a year ago I struggled to find a nail place that I REALLY liked, and that really did a good job. Kim and Kay are my go to ladies. They both do a fabulous job on my gel manicures. They're very nice, they both take their time, and give great massages :) I would recommend them to anyone. This place deserves 5 stars! read more

This is my favorite nail salon. I always get a regular pedi ($19)and gel manicure ($25). Honestly the pedi is a bit over priced but I'm always satisfied with the end result so I don't mind paying. My favorite girl is Kim! But everyone that has worked on me has done an excellent job. read more

Took my daughter for a fill. She had an appointment and we were on time. They took her after 30 minutes then once in the chair started working on her and left her sitting there for 15 minutes to help another patron. Spoke only to each other , not in English which is rude. Though the fill was done well , it wasn't worth the horrible customer service. We will not be back. read more

I won't be back. Interestingly enough, the pedicure was okay, nothing to write home about. However, the customer service there, awful. At least for me. What was interesting was that I was the only African-American person there. Very polite to everyone. I got a lot of smug looks etc. and the only thing my pedicurist asked me about was when I planned to give a tip. On the other hand, there were other non-African American people there and the difference in treatment was astounding. Smiles and hellos and how are you feelings, and goodbye's and hope you come backs. I got a hello when I walked in, nothing from anyone when I walked out. I even made eye contact with the person who greets you at the door and she looked straight at me and said absolutely nothing. I don't speak Vietnamese, but I'm smart enough to know when I'm not wanted. I will never walk through that door again. read more

The girl buffed my cuticles so hard they bled. asked for gel nails and a simple "V" design on the ring finger, and the girl couldn't do it, so I asked for a bow tie instead, and she still couldn't do it good. Amy and Kathy is good on manicure and gel coloring. I like it that they don't talk a lot and asked me so many questions like other nails place does. This review is LONG overdue! Honestly, I think Yelp's overall rating for this place is completely off--it should be given more stars! I used to live in the heart of SF and pay a lot more to get my nails done...this place does it better (or at least by the women who I've had work with me). To be clear: I only get regular mani/pedi's and gel manicures, so I can't speak for acrylics or if you love nail art stuff... I never get those so I can't review how well they do that. I've also tried several nail salons in the surrounding area, and even once in Manhattan Beach at an upscale salon, and leave wishing I just went here. My all time favorite manicurist is Kim (my mom also always requests her too)-- she's super sweet and is by far the neatest, most detailed, really gentle (except when she gives awesomely strong massages) manicurists and pedicurist (?? Is that a word??) ever. I've had work done by the other girls in the salon too when I didn't make appointments and have no complaints...though to be honest, Kim's work makes me really biased to this place. The place is relatively clean compared to other salons that I've tried who supposedly have 4/5 star ratings on Yelp (ugh. I once tried a 4/5 star place who pulled out a PORTABLE old, weak foot tub for my pedicure!!! And they did a half-a$$ job smoothing out the skin around the nails...they didn't paint the nails as close to the skin as possible leaving a larger margin than preferred) At least here they use a built in tub with a massage chair and they scrub down and wash the tubs after each person! I'd recommend to give this salon a try--pricing is fair too! read more

Ashley was great and when they didn't have the color I wanted, she layered colors to make a cool color I liked!! Place was clean and busy :) waited only about 5 minutes as a walkin. I'm not sure 3 or 4 stars? I've come here a few times for an acrylic fill. I always get a different lady, today a guy did the fill. They're not overly friendly, it's ok cause I'm a quiet person. I leave satisfied with my shiny new nails. The problem is..are they sometimes talking crap? And are the tools they use clean? I cannot say for sure, I leave hoping I didn't contract anything and about talking crap, what you don't know can't hurt you. read more

My honest opinion is this. My experience wasn't too nice. I went an hour before closing and the girl that did my full set did not looked too thrilled to do my nails. Yeah she did a good job but I know she could've done better if she wasn't rushing. For the price I paid, I expected a better job. The way I see it is that most women go and get their nails done because they want to feel pampered and it's our girl time. Even if this place was close to closing I think they should service their customers the same way. Not all rushing and it just makes our experience a bad one. I will never go back, not because they don't do a good job. But because they didn't give me a good experience. Maybe they should keep that in mind. read more

Horrible experience, I got the only man in there, who already seemed tired and somewhat annoyed. But besides that I would never think I'd pay to get my nails done and throughout the whole process my fingers to hurt like hell. First of all it was sloppy he soaked my fingers in cold water. Second he cut my finger and it was pretty obvious since it was red and splotchy and raw looking. Third I got gel which means I had to put my fingers under the uv light about 8 times and every single time my fingers with the cuts burned and tingled which was extremely unpleasant. Then after all that he decided to file the sides of my nails again because the gel was connected from my actual finger and the nail. Lastly he was very rough with my hands. Since there are many great reviews about this place I'm pretty sure it was just my experience with a bad nail technician. I apologies on not getting a name he didn't say one word to me.
