Tina the owner always makes the time for us whenever we call in. One thing I really appreciate is that they always ask if the pressure is okay and if there are any areas that need extra attention before they start. They also check in during the massage to make sure you're still comfortable, which shows they actually care about giving you a great experience instead of just rushing through it. The place is always clean, the staff is friendly, and the therapists are consistently amazing. It's hard to find a massage place that's this consistent over the years, which is why I keep coming back. In addition they always offer us tea or water at the end. If you're in the Walnut area and looking for a great massage, I'd definitely recommend giving them a try. I've been a customer for years, and I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.

I also wasn't offered back walking despite the setup for it, and there was no tiger balm and only a few minutes of hot stones. Overall, the experience felt a bit impersonal and like I was assigned whoever was available rather than really being taken care of. Unfortunately, I left disappointed and don't think I'll be returning.

The reasons why I want to update my review: Very relaxing atmosphere -- the center area isn't overly loud. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The skincare products they use feel nicer/better quality than what I've experienced at other spas. I also really appreciate that this is a 12+ facility, so there aren't small children running around. At some other spas, kids can be loud and make it harder to fully relax. Here, the atmosphere is much more peaceful, which makes a big difference when you're coming to relax

3.5 stars. Main…read morereason I wanted to try this place is because it's advertised that it doesn't get too crowded, but that's definitely not true during a Saturday afternoon. It's not crowded per se, but all the amenities are occupied - chairs taken, floor mats taken, etc. So, sure, it's not "crowded" but you can't really do anything in the co-ed area either. They also seemed to ration the towels, so you couldn't go into the spa multiple times unless you wanted to re-use your wet towels. Not really trying to do mental math on towel usage when I'm just trying to enjoy my life. The food was not it either. Solidly, 2 out of 5 stars. Not a lot of options. Ended up ordering two cold noodles. It wasn't very cold, and I could not chew thru the noodles at all and relied on swallowing them whole!? Last thing - I feel like the culture is different. Other korean spas I've been to really focus on the peace and quiet, and I understand there's always going to be yappers at whichever spa you go to. But, here, it seemed everyone disregarded the rule, viewing them just as general guidelines. Everyone was still quiet-ish but definitely making more noise than I've experienced at other places. Multiple people straight watching videos on their phones without earphones. The amenities are all there but just something not aligned here. If you're trying to relax a little bit, come during non-peak hours. Just know there are better options out there.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!…read more Tips: 1. Get pure bliss or you will feel the session is not long enough, if you are already paying $145 you might as well get the full package. 2. If you are not petite turn off the massage bed. I love the massage bed because it was designed for my frame. I left my arms out and legs on top of the foot massage because it will be less distractions and let you focus on the scalp treatment better. When you are in massage bed try to let go of the control and just trust it. 3. Book early or late appointment since there is no privacy in the open area. Expectation: Don't expect this service as a head massage. It's a deep clean of your scalp with premium hair productis. Your scalp feels clean and refresh afterwards. Improvement suggestion to the spa: Put up drapes for the washing area for each massage bed. If you like the open concept, drapes can open when there are no guests but at least we have option to close it if need be. Woke up with men around is kind of weird. Lastly, Gaby was amazing, she is so gentle and made my first head spa relaxing and worthwhile. had such a great time and will return for sure.

A Little Me-Time Never Hurt Nobody!…read more Had a whole day to myself, and honestly... what better way to spend it than with a little self-care?! I decided to book an appointment at Pure Head Spa for a hair & scalp treatment with Fiona, and let me tell you... my scalp said THANK YOU. I came in on a Monday at 12:30 PM and was actually the only client there, which made the whole experience feel even more peaceful and private. I was greeted by Serena and another staff member, and both were super kind and welcoming. The interior is SO cute! Very modern, chic, and minimal with this beautiful natural beige aesthetic that is just easy on the eyes. Definitely gives that calming, "okay, my stress level just dropped 20%" kind of vibe. ‍ Hair & Scalp Treatment -- $145 | 9/10 So what exactly IS a hair and scalp treatment? Think of it as a facial for your scalp! ‍ Instead of focusing only on the hair strands, the treatment focuses on the scalp by helping remove buildup, exfoliate dead skin, cleanse the scalp, stimulate circulation, and provide moisture and hydration to the hair and scalp. The 75-minute treatment included: Before & after scalp analysis Scalp exfoliation/scrub Scalp massage Shampoo Healing waterfall treatment Steam mist to restore moisture & hydration 10-minute neck + shoulder therapy Full-body massage chair Blow-dry service And the scalp analysis before AND after was probably one of my favorite parts! Wowsers... Seeing your scalp and hair follicles up close is definitely an "Ohhh... so THIS is what's happening up there?!" moment. You really don't realize how much buildup can accumulate until you actually see it on a screen. I also learned more about proper scalp care and how important regular cleansing is, especially if you use a lot of hair products or have buildup. It definitely made me rethink my own hair-washing routine! The combination of the scalp massage, waterfall, steam mist, neck and shoulder therapy, AND that full-body massage chair had me fighting for my life trying not to fall asleep. By the end, I felt like my scalp had taken a vacation without me. ‍ I absolutely loved how relaxing the entire experience was. This would be such a cute girls' day, birthday treat, bridal party activity, or even just a solo self-care date when you need to escape for a little while. Fiona was wonderful, the staff was welcoming, and the entire atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful. Would I come back? ABSOLUTELY. My scalp has officially entered its spoiled era. If you've never tried a head spa, this is your sign to BOOK THE APPOINTMENT! Happy Self-Care!

Yay, victory!! We booked a 1-hour couples Thai massage with Mona and Bee, and once the massage started, all that parking nuisance disappeared. I asked Mona to attack the stubborn knots in my traps, and wow... she ironed those things out really well!!!! It wasn't exactly gentle, but that's how I like it!! By the end, I felt loose, relaxed, and about 10 pounds lighter from all the tension. Yes, they do step on you, but only after asking first, so don't panic!! Afterward, they served hot tea and rice crackers, which was the perfect little cooldown. And please, tip your massage therapist well!! They work hard, and making people forget life's chaos for an hour deserves some love!!! A few things I'd do differently next time: * They provide shared shorts and an open-back tank top. My microbiology brain couldn't stop thinking about it, so I'm bringing my own clothes next visit. * Hubby had a reaction to the massage oil/balm. Whether it was the product itself or possible cross-contamination, we'll just bring our own balm next time to play it safe. * No hot stones. Not a dealbreaker, but it would've been a nice bonus. For just $55 for a full hour of Thai massage, it's honestly hard to complain. Our regular spot in San Diego costs quite a bit more. Despite my little gripes, the massage itself was fantastic, and we'll definitely be back, this time armed with our OWN boxer shorts and massage balm!!!
