Along the way, I confused my pickup date to be one day later than my actual pickup. When Lakeside called on my actual delivery date, I wasn't able to pickup the boat and without hesitation delivered the boat the following day with no additional costs or hassles. The person dropping the boat was terrific. He helped us inspect the boat, showed us how to operate, and quickly sent us on our way making sure we don't have any questions. Pickup up and delivery were right on time so we weren't left waiting at the boat landing. The pontoon boat was clean and well maintained with a 90 HP Mercury engine that worked flawlessly every time. We were able to water ski without too much trouble...some wanted a faster boat. 90 HP was fine...move to a 150 HP for a quicker start or just opt for a ski boat. We wanted both living room style comfort and sport for this trip. My final invoice didn't have any surprise costs and the gas cost was surprisingly cheap for the three days of fun. While renting this pontoon boat wasn't cheap with a average daily cost of $465/day (90 HP motor, gas, ski's, prop insurance, fence lake drop off, and taxes), we had a fun everyday without the hassle of boat ownership. I've been in the Hayward area for more than 50 years and saw places on this tour I've not seen before. I had nearly as much fun sitting next to my wife and looking at the landscape as I did when I was behind the wheel navigating the trails. Runamuk provides everything you need for a trip. Consider bringing ear protection - the machines are loud. Don't forget sunglasses and a rag to wipe to them clean after trekking a puddle or two.

Most of us hadn't been on or driven ATVs before and all of us would do it again! As far as the value goes, for 3 generations to spend a quarter of a day doing something we all enjoyed and had never done before, we felt it was worth every penny. They made it possible so we never were in physical contact with anyone and the kayaks and paddles were disinfected. Enough about the pandemic, I want to talk about the amazing kayaking trip we made down the Cane Bayou to Lake Pontchartrain!! It was a gorgeous day and we saw 3 gators! It was beyond peaceful and therapeutic to paddle through birds chirping, cane reeds sounding like waterfalls in the wind, and finally arriving to the beauty of the glistening lake. It was about a mile paddle and absolutely beautiful. You paddle through 3 noticeably different ecosystems towards the lake. Can't wait to come back here when things get back to normal!! (Also-the main shop has every beer, wine, soda, and snack you could want! They also had seafood plates and boiled crawfish)
