I can't speak for anyone else but what I can say is from the initial call inquiring about their technicians so I could get my vehicle towed there to arriving and the positive energy and smiling faces I would definitely recommend this dealership. Tiffany was the initial point of contact with my concerns and questions. Thank you for your grace, knowledge, listening ear and patience. I had previously had issues with another dealership in Texas with repairs ( Vandergriff ) they are not linked ( no relations to Red River ) once I arrived I just walked up to Ms.Ashley and was all good from there. It's so much I can say about Ashley, knowledge is power especially when it's used and taught to others. The first time I have ever bought a car off a lot and they made it so easy on me to get a truck. They are so welcoming and made me feel like I was back home. Red River Chevrolet has earned yet ANOTHER 1-star review. It's been YEARS since my last visit there which was a huge disappointment back then. My recent visit was no better. They listed a Dodge Ram 1500 online and I made an appointment to go see it on my day off from work. After driving 15 miles to the dealership, Jessie (salesman) took me to find the Ram. He said it was at the detail shop. After visiting 3 lots we finally found it. I found the exterior visually acceptable for a 21 year old truck and was ready to have a look at the interior. But Jessie did not have a key to the truck. So no opening the door and no cranking the engine. Do they expect to sell vehicles based on their looks alone?? I was so upset I had Jessie just take me back to my car so I could go back home. This makes TWO disastrous dealings with Red River Chevrolet. I'm sorry but this is not baseball and you do not get three strikes. Two strikes and you're out! I will NEVER visit this dealership again. Highly unprofessional. My husband and I have gotten our last 3 vehicles from red river chevy and have had a great experiences. Our salespeople have always been professional and knowledgeable. However, 3 days ago we purchased a truck and the next day discovered an issue with the transmission. When we asked about how the vehicle was running and they said everything checked out, yet the very next day an issue presented itself out of the blue? Before, they have always been transparent but now I am unsure if they actually knew there was a problem or not. We did not buy the extended warranty because it is a fairly new truck and we have not had any issues before, but I called to ask about the LDS insurance that was included and the receptionist answered and I told her my concerns and asked what our next steps should be. She said I would need to call Red River Chevy on Monday and for clarity I asked do I need to call Red River Chevy to handle the LDS claim or was it another entity? To which she immediately transferred me without saying she was transferring me and it went to voicemail. I was confused who she was trying to transfer me to, so, I called again, same issue - I was transferred without any explanation. Then I called the third time and she was about to transfer me again until I asked her to please not transfer me again because I already said it was going to voicemail in the last call. I really would have liked her to just tell me who I need to ask for on another day because obviously they were not available and I was already frustrated at this point because I had no clue who or where I was being transferred. She never once explained why she was transferring me or attempted to actually ensure I was transferred to a person or even said that the person was not available and to call at a later date or who the person I was meant to leave a voicemail to? Overall, I'm just disappointed and would like to continue coming here for our vehicles but if this woman is who they are beginning to hire - I'm not sure if I can because plenty of other places offer phenomenal customer service and would love to have our business. read more

Scheduled an appointment for 8:00 and it was still sitting in the parking lot at 9:00. Talked to two check in technician's who stated that when you make an appointment, it's for the vehicle to be checked in, and the vehicles are seen in order (regardless if they're overbooked or not). When the second technician explained their failed process of why a person makes an appointment, but isn't seen, she proceeded to talk down to me as if the process was normal for people to make an appointment and then wait while other vehicles are serviced. Her tone was about as unprofessional as her appearance. Since when is it acceptable for employees to work with a nose ring? When the service manager spoke with me, she was just as impolite and only wanted to hear herself speak. She didn't care what I had to say; such as, "I wasn't done speaking," with a glaring stare that suggested I was wasting her time. I guess the days of trying to keep business and making an attempt to keep return business is a way of the past. People who are employed to provide service have forgotten the common rule of "service," to PROVIDE SERVICE in a professional manner and treat the customer in a way that makes them want to return. I WILL NEVER BRING MY VEHICLE BACK TO RED RIVER CHEVROLET. They've lost my trust and my money. I tried reaching out the General Manager, that was unsuccessful. The closest I came was leaving my phone and e-mail with a text conversation service. $140 for a damn oil change, they charged me $12.50 per ONE quart for Mobil 1.... and a $34 "service" fee... You can get 5 quarts of Mobil 1 from Walmart for $22 . Ok, I blew out another tire and had to get it replaced. I came to Red River and was pleased with the service, but I wish there had been more frequent communication about the status of my car. I had to wait for a day and a half because they were backed up, but I only found out about that at the end of each business day. I had to scramble to get rides to and from work because the timeline for my car kept changing, but I did not have enough notice to make arrangements. I want to start by saying that my husband and I have purchased 3 General Motors Vehicles in the past 12 months. We purchase at least 1 vehicle every other year and I have 2 children who are within driving age. My father retired from General Motors after 25 years of service. My father-in-law passed away after working for General Motors over 15 years. I have one brother-in-law who worked for General Motors for 20 years and another brother-in-law who worked for GM for five years and another brother-in-law who are currently employed by General Motors. As you can imagine, we know a lot of General Motors employees. I am not happy with Red River Chevrolet at the moment. I will never use Red River Chevrolet again and that in no way is reflective upon my sales representative, as I had an outstanding salesman. My dissatisfaction is directly related to the management of Red River Chevrolet. We have bought eight vehicles from Red River Chevrolet in the past, but I will never set foot in their showroom again. At the time I purchased my most recent Tahoe, Red River knew my intentions of purchasing a Corvette for my husband's fortieth birthday a few weeks later. Red River had 12 or 13 Corvettes in their show room but refused to give the GMS pricing to me stating that they did not get very many Corvettes and they "would not let one go for that price". I guess I could have bought that excuse if they had 1 or 2 Corvettes on their lot. Chevyland, on the other hand, was very accommodating and offered to do anything they could to sell me a Corvette at GMS pricing even though they only had 1 convertible Corvette on the lot. Mr. Cordaro and Johnnie at Chevyland were very nice and I would have bought the car from them if I had the time to wait for a dealer trade. Because Red River did not tell me they would not give me the GMS price until I went in to sign the papers I only had a week to find a Corvette before my husband's birthday. I ended up finding the Corvette I wanted at Teague Motors in Mount Vernon, Texas. This dealer only had one Corvette on the lot and the Sales Manager, Ed Joyce, was wonderful!! I am so glad I made the drive because it was truly the easiest and fastest automobile purchase I have ever made. I completely understand that the GMS discount is a dealer option. However, it is very frustrating that a dealer thinks nothing of setting an across the board policy that they will not honor GMS discounts for Corvettes without taking into account a buyer's past purchase history and the impact of negative advertisement. Apparently, Red River Chevrolet has plenty of business without having to honor the GMS pricing available to General Motors Employees. Therefore, if I ever buy another Chevrolet, you can rest assured that it will not be from Red River Chevrolet. I have removed the license plate covers from my Tahoe and they are enclosed because they touted the Red River logo. I will be "anti-advertising" for Red River Chevrolet for several years to come. I have already informed my family and friends of how Red River conducts business with GM employees and their families. I am constantly asked about my Corvette and where it was purchased and I will continue to tell anyone and everyone about my experience. It seems to me that Red River could use some marketing advice. Having a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, I have taken many marketing classes. Anyone who knows anything about marketing will tell you that no other type of advertising is more powerful than word of mouth. Red River Chevrolet has tainted my Chevrolet buying experience. Because I have many choices in the automobiles I purchase, I cannot say that I will definitely purchase another Chevrolet in the future but if I do it will be from Chevyland in Shreveport or from Teague Motors in Mount Vernon, Texas. I own a 2012 Chevy Silverado, I've been having trouble with it starting at times. I had my vehicle towed in to Red River Chevrolet in downtown Shreveport on Monday in hopes of correcting this issue. I didn't hear anything about my vehicle so on Wednesday September 25, 2019 I decided to call Red River downtown Shreveport ( Traffic Street). I was told by my Service Representative, that my truck has started every time that they have tried starting it. I was also told that it was started in the a.m., cold start, also when it was hot outside and it started. I was also told that my truck was given a diagnostic and when given the diagnostic that their were no codes given. I picked my truck up this morning, September 27, 2019 and left my Chevy Malibu. I guess that you could say that I am a bit of a Chevy fan! At one time I sure was, I had no choice but to bring my Chevy Malibu in because my check engine light came on. There shouldn't be any reason for the light coming on after spending $1000.00 over the course of a couple of months earlier this year!! Well, after work today, when I got into the truck, yes I picked up the truck this morning once I checked my Malibu in, as I stated after work, I got into my truck and it did not start. I immediately called Red River Chevrolet. I spoke with Manny and I requested that they pick my truck up from my place of employment and once again find out what the problem may be. I was told that they don't do that. It's ok for me to pay to have it towed in though. I have had it with with Chevrolet. I went to pick up my Malibu and I have vowed to never buy another Chevrolet and to never allow Chevrolet to work on my vehicles again. Do not waste your time or energy going to Red River Chevrolet! They refused to negotiate on the price of a demo vehicle. Their idea of a deal was to take $3,000 off sticker price in a vehicle with over 3,000 miles on it! Went across town to another dealership who knocked $10,000 off a brand new vehicle without batting an eye! To top it off, they tried to convince me that this was the lowest they could go. It was "dealer prices." Needless to say, I told them no thank you, and they would not be getting my business! They also low balled my trade-in by another $3,000 from Kelly Blue Book trade-in value for a car in "fair condition." My car is a top of the line model with every conceivable option including being a hybrid. None of that was factored into their "deal." Never ever again will even bother to go into Red River Chevrolet in Bossier. I've been buying and selling cars for 30+ years, and this was by far the worst experience in my life! We did not get a quote before they worked on our truck and then proceeded to lie about giving my husband a quote. The Body shop staff are beyond excellent, love Kellie & the rest of the crew there, however, services are very over priced...not to mention that unless you are a nurse or of higher ranking in the medical field the sales staff at both Red River & Chevyland will treat you like a 3rd class citizen in steerage on a cruise ship. Went in w/ a friend to see & price some Camaros as a possibility for a second vehicle, namely the Transformers Bumblebee camaro, from start to finish I was treated beyond horribly. I was asked by a sales person at Chevyland what I did for a living, when I proceeded to tell them, the salesperson promptly walked off & this person along w/ the rest of the sales staff proceeded to ignore both me & my friend. Nevermind the fact that I have not one but 3 ..yes, 3 co-signers that were & are willing to co-sign for me to get this particular Camaro. When I brought one of the co-signers back w/ me the sales staff was still beyond rude. I went through this same mess again at Red River as well. This rudeness extends into their parts dept & their service deptment as well. at both places. If I buy another GM vehicle it will not be from either of these dealerships, nor will I be getting my vehicle serviced at Chevyland, they to busy being both rude & messing up ppl vehicles to even remotely give a damn about learning about providing basic, decent quality customer service, to hard working ppl such as myself. both dealerships only want to do business w/ uber rich folk. read more
