Today changed my experience. I decided to come in for a dirty chai. It's a treat. Something I don't have very often. I asked for the dirty chai with half and half. I was quite surprised by the $1.50 up charge for the half and half. I didn't want to sound like a complainy customer but I am so tired of all these up charges....So I asked why the up charge and she told me "milk is expensive so we charge for it." Why are you charging extra for a milk that belongs in a drink in the first place?? Also, I could have asked for no milk and then filled my cup with the half and half on the bar. It soured me enough---sorry to say---that I may not come back anymore and I will send my guests elsewhere. There is only so much nickel and dime-ing local customers can and will take.

Eventually, we paid for another shot in each of our coffees so that made our drinks total out to 12 dollars each. the redeeming part was the black sesame flavor was good and it didn't taste too sweet. i usually dont like to leave a negative review, but this place was really not worth the high price point :( they should really let all the lattes come with coffee as the standard and also disclose that paying extra for espresso includes a double shot

She was again not impressed and didn't give one crap I said what I said politely however she couldn't care less about my business. So, as I told her, I will never be back and you can enjoy losing thousands of dollars of my business and I always tip 20+%. I have spent well over $1000 at this place over the years and now come here 1-5x/wk. I also have new work starting next door so I would've been coming here to spend thousands more over the next few years. I'm a massage therapist who care greatly about his clients and I would NEVER do business this way. The food/ costs are very low to keep a customer happy and coming back to spend thousands more. If you care about business integrity and appreciation, I recommend going elsewhere. In addition, I will be telling my business associates next door and another who works a few blocks away about my experience. Every chance I get with our open house coming up and all clients I see in the area will be told about alternatives to this business. Very skinny young woman, with long hair, tattoos, sparkly eye paint was the one I spoke with today at 2:10pm.

Finally, North East Boulder has a quality coffee shop. Everything at Red Rock Coffeehouse is top notch. From the Organic, Fair Trade, Locally- Roasted coffee and the local chai and teas to the iced teas and Arnold Palmers, the product is as good as it gets. Don't expect any fancy designs on the top of your lattes, the beauty in the drinks at Red Rock comes from within. The atmosphere is very clean and inviting. The service is great and unpretentious. Where else do they get to know you on your first visit and even step out from behind the counter to bring you your drink. With its lightning fast and reliable internet and comfortable seating Red Rock Coffeehouse is probably the best Internet Cafe in town. Tip to all of you college students, Red Rock is open until 8pm and they have plenty of seating in the late afternoon. It's worth the drive or bike ride from campus to experience this coffee shop. read more

Echoing several other reviews on here: this place has removed all of its electrical outlets, so if you come in with a computer that you were planning to charge while drinking your coffee, you're out of luck. I get that coffeeshops don't want people sitting there all day taking up tables from other customers, but there are friendlier ways to control that issue. Also... it was pretty much empty when I walked in, and it's a decent-sized place. Are they seriously that concerned? read more
