The view the vibes and the drinks were all amazing. This place was packed when we came here on a Saturday night around 7pm. We came here for a private party & the area we were in opened to gen-pop at 10pm. We loved the vibe so much we ended up staying until around midnight. I can't wait to go back. Came this time for music. Got there early to have a bite and get a table. Service at first was inattentive. So grabbed drinks from the bar inside. Bartenders were quick. Waitress at table eventually came and she was sweet. Ordered blackened veggie burger. Burger was goof. Large roll was too much. Avocado fries were not bad but the regular fries were soggy and bad. We tried a few times and ordered takeout and something we look forward to never disappointed is the NY Strip Loin Steak Sandwich. They'll ask you how do you prefer the temperature and actually do it-- it comes with a red wine Demi-glacé that's close to perfection. Love the toasted sourdough bread. It's also enough to be shared, unless you are a heavy eater. A great appetizer to start off with is their hummus and guacamole platter with pita bread, veggies, and chips. Their location is near the waterfront, an easy walk to enjoy. (There is a place you can rent small boats for the day to go fishing or just get away for awhile). It's a must if you're ever stuck at the hospital, or want to surprise your loved one with a meal (if allowed). The atmosphere is easy going with corners nooks and crannies that you can find a comfortable spot in off season. Summer time it can get busy. They currently posted they are in need of hiring staff, but judging by the quality they are selective who they allow to cook and serve you. Customer service was also there. Our bartender was considerate on all fronts in a professional way, and rarely found. Excellent band at Red Rock every Thursday during the summer. The Cliffs are absolutely fantastic and certainly a reason to hit Red Rock. There is a cover charge. I visit red rock after a dinner at Boondocks....makes for a fun evening. Parking can be a challenge if you don't get there early. read more

First time here. We had a big group and this was a last minute choice. Our waitress was sweet. And I would say the crabcake sandwich wasn't bad. It was surprisingly a good size crab cake. The fries though weren't the hottest. Salt would've helped. Now, would I get this again probably not. For a big group I would recommend. Their outdoor seating outside is a definitely a plus. And I had a sangria and it definitely wasn't the best I've had. If I could I'd give this place a 3.5 read more

Didn't know what to expect based on some of the reviews but apparently a weekday around 5pm is the sweet spot. My husband and I were given a high top in the bar area by the window and service was quick and friendly. The dishes were timed perfectly - as soon as we finished the wings, our mains arrived. Beer was cold and fresh, seating was fat friendly. Food: Buffalo wings YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES onion rings - perfectly crunchy, not overly sweet Burger - big and good. I did have to add a lil salt so beware. Truffle fries - a little too heavy on the parm Calamari - husband loved it but I don't eat it in general because of texture. $87 before tip so it ain't cheap. Water views are nice though and I suspect the place is mobbed once summer hits. I have a standing appointment with a doctor in Little Silver. I'll be coming here after every appointment. read more

Once again, stopped here while wife in hospital next door. First time at the hospital and I was a little frazzled, but this place was an oasis of calm (it was early on a Wednesday). SUPER friendly (and good looking) staff, made me feel at home with my weird to-go order. Can't remember what kind of IPA I got while waiting, but it was very good. Hit the spot. Wife got the chicken sandwich - a little messy to eat in a hospital bed but the leftovers tasted great. I got the steak salad, and it was really good. It had jalapenos which was a nice touch. Really good! Just a wonderful experience and I'll certainly be back. UPDATE: Went back again, this time on a Saturday at dinner time - and the place was packed! I stood at the bar and ordered a drink and a salad to go, next thing I know they're bringing a bar stool from somewhere so I could sit. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Our waitress greeted us promptly, took our order efficiently, and made sure our drinks arrived without delay. I'd A special shoutout to the host, Julia, who recommended the everything pretzel and wow, what a great recommendation! It was the perfect start to the meal. Watch out, they upcharge for anything. We went to the red rock tap and grill tonight for this first time. Since it was a breezy Monday, it was pretty quiet. For drinks we got a mule and the beer of the month. Both were refreshing and decent sizes. Instead of doing appetizers and entrees, we decided to get more appetizers and split them. We got: the buffalo wings, the brussel ceasar salad, jumbo crabcake, and the tuna nachos. The buffalo wings were our favorite, crunchy on the outside but buttery on the inside packed full of flavor. The ahi nachos were great as well with probably a whole tuna filet on it. The crabcake was very good and decent in size. However, while the compote under it was good as well, it seemed to be a decent amount of fluff that took away from the crabcake. My main complaint is the brussel ceasar salad...it comes with thick like bacon/ham on it which wasn't great and it was chewy. While being called a brussel ceasar salad, there was barely any brussels and more romaine lettuce. On the salad, there was barely any dressing, so I asked for some extra on the side. I was given a normal size side container of dressing BUT THEY CHARGED US $1.50 FOR IT?! What place does this anymore...it's a bar. Basically our wallet was punished for them not putting enough dressing on it. We were also never given water, I wonder if we would have been charged for asking for water as well. Our waitress went missing half way through our meal, and another waitress took over. We skipped dessert but I got a coffee because I was freezing. Last night I celebrated my birthday at Red Rock and had an amazing time. It was windy and a little chilly so we had green tea shots as well as a few drinks to warm us up! Ava made sure we had everything we needed. We had a party of 11 and were very enthusiastic/entertaining, she was able to keep up with us. The food and drinks were delicious Great experience!!! We were able to watch the sun set and enjoyed live 90s music. I had an awesome time. I also want to add that Patty helped with the reservation and checked in with me a few times to make sure we were ok with being outside and that we were prepared for the weather which was very thoughtful. 10/10 read more

A very pleasant vibe. I was visiting a sick friend at a local hospital and wandered down the street to this place. They have a bunch of tables outside and an inside dining area. I went up a short flight of stairs and sat outside at a smallish bar. It was about 330pm on a Tuesday. A few other folks were at the bar and a couple of the hi-top tables were occupied. I sat at the bar and the barkeep was pleasant and friendly. I got the sliced filet mignon sandwich. It was excellent. I also ordered a rye whiskey. Everything was nice. I'm glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews about this place, because I would've missed out on a gem! I stopped here on a Saturday around 4pm for an early dinner, and there was no wait! It was a nice day so we chose to sit outside which ended up not being a good idea. The ground is not leveled, so sitting at the table was like sitting on a seesaw! It's bench style seating so there's no back support at all! Every staff member we encountered during our visit was great! They were all nice and friendly and seemed to thoroughly enjoy working there! The food- AMAZING! We had to wait a little while for it, but it was totally worth the wait! I ordered a lobster roll, and it was honestly the best lobster roll I've ever had (& I've had lots!) It was lobster mixed with cherry tomatoes, red onion, bacon and lite mayo-DELICIOUS! Honestly everything we ordered was amazing! I'll definitely be visiting this place again! We came in on Tuesday night for Taco Tuesday 1/2 price all tacos. I have had their chicken tacos before and they were great, something was totally off tonight. The chicken was insanely dry, to the point where I had to stop and drink water before continuing. I don't know but last time I had them (about a year ago) they were juicy and messy, dripping with juice and flavor, this time not so much. We also got the Shrimp Tacos that the waitress compared to the Bang Bang Shrimp at Bonefish... not even close. I don't understand the concept of a breaded shrimp (lacking enough sauce) wrapped inside a double tortilla taco, all you could taste is bread. It came with a mango-pineapple salsa that looked like it came out of a jar, and had zero flavor. I really don't know what was going on with these tacos, they were below average at best. The only saving grace is they were half price. We also tried the bacon mac and cheese empanada they had on the happy hour menu, and again totally bland and flavorless. Maybe the chefs have changed but the food (their only saving grace in the winter time) is just not any good. This place gets 2 stars for their outdoor setup in warm weather, there's nothing like it in Red Bank. read more

Came here on a Friday night at 9:00pm. Usually in the warmer months or early part of the day, they have a live band outside. And then switches over to DJ in the evening. Cool crowd and ambiance in this bar. Nice spot to go to if you're looking for a chill night read more

TRY THE WINGS!! This place is hit or miss depending on what you order and who your server is. If you can get a table outside and upstairs you have a great view of the river. One thing about the food, if you like buffalo wings, these are the best in town you can get from a bar in my opinion. read more

Ate on the patio due to Covid rules, it was kind of a sweltering day so I really wanted to get through the meal as fast as I could. I made the mistake of ordering a pina colada and drinking in the heat. Ugh. I hate that feeling. The pina colada was great - drinking in heat - NO! The shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious. My dining companion ordered the cheeseburger which looked equally delicious. I'd love to order the shrimp tacos again. Thanks to the staff for helping me out when I felt absolutely overheated outside. Just had a great experience at Red Rock Tap and Grill. I was looking for a good burger/bar food experience. The servers at Red Rock were incredibly friendly. We sat at the end of the bar and the two employees behind the bar were so attentive and provided an excellent experience. We decided to start with the teriyaki wing appetizer. It was a sizable portion perfect to split between 2-3 people. The wings were crunchy and the sauce was great- not too sweet. The Red Rock Burgers were also really good. The patty was thick and cooked medium rare as requested. The burgers came with shoestring fries which were also really good. I ordered the burger with bacon and it wasn't necessary. Overall a good experience, we'll definitely be back. read more

I called twice during the week and asked if they were showing the boxing fight on Saturday. Both times the girls who answered the phone had to put me on hole to ask. They both returned with the answer yes. I drove all the way to red bank to find out the boxing was not being shown. Two different calls two different people said yes. Tuna nachos? How did I not ever think about making that dish myself! By far thee best nachos I've ever had. One bite and my taste buds screamed for more. The buffalo balls were also great. Our waitress was great. As she took our order and we asked what she recommended she helped ya narrow down what we would like best. Glad we asked her because I can't stop raving about those nachos! She knew when I needed another drink before I even had to ask. Two thumbs up to her! This place has an indoor area and three outdoor areas. I would love to come back and dine outdoors. After dining inside we made our way to the rooftop. There's a bar located on this floor so getting drinks was a breeze. Yet who wants to get drinks when the bartender isn't so pleasant. My husband went to get a vodka and club with a lime and was served a lemon. He asked the waitress if she can please replace the lemon with a lime. Her response was "no you can drink it just like that". Would of given her the benefit of the doubt that getting a lime would be time consuming yet she wasn't busy using her phone in front of costumers. Overall the food and view was good. read more

Hey hey Adventurers! So I've been here on two separate occasions and at vastly different times. Once around dinner time for a few drinks and appetizers with a friend. Not too bad just a more mature crowd. We ordered a whiskey lemonade and calamari. The calamari was delicious but they definitely put entirely way too many banana peppers in proportion to the calamari pieces. The other was this past Friday for a girl's night. Let me tell you that at 1 am it was still poppin'! Though a much different crowd...a lot younger. It's got the upstairs patio and the downstairs patio, the lines to the women's bathroom weren't too bad and everyone was pretty nice. Which is not something you see often. I really like the fact that it was an open patio area, really open where it was big enough to move and not be crowded. This pace would probably be insane for a Cinco de Mayo party... I also like that at dusk you can walk over to the small bay area and look at the docked boats or just be near an inlet. Overall great place and cannot wait to explore Red Bank more! read more
