The place is cute, location seems a bit hidden BUT it was my first great first time experience. I've been putting off the review because I've been busy with traveling but I am here now. When I first stepped in, I was so nervous and kinda shy because the ladies in front didn't know how to speak English that well so it kinda sounded like they were upset with me, idk. Anyways, but then I was led to the back where I met Amber. Gosh! She was so pretty and so polite and friendly she made me feel so welcomed and eased my stress so easily. She's great at massages and she helped me with everything I questioned with wise words and generosity. I literally felt like I made a new friend. I would definitely go again, when I get the chance. I didn't feel too insecure as I did when I first stepped in. She explained everything so calmly and nicely it was the best customer service experience I've ever had. Honestly, I rated this place 5 stars because of Amber. I call her Amber alert, because she's so alert and so great with people and her job. I lost her number she gave me but I would've definitely asked her to join me and some friends for lunch or dinner. You guys, this place is wonderful and just because the front people can't speak English well, does not mean they're not nice, cause they're cool people. Amber is just cooler lol jk but she did stand out. Her services were outstanding and I never questioned it. I definitely loved her hair and makeup too. I'm telling you it's the first pretty girl that doesn't give off mean girl vibes . I can't wait to go back and enjoy another relaxing time at this spa. It 100% did not disappoint. Real deal banya if you are looking for one cold plunge could be colder but all and all had a good time

BEWARE!! We should have known something wasn't right when they showed us to the "private dressing room" we were promised for our couples massage which had a long table with benches in it. Was this their employee break room??? Ok, we quickly got over undressing in the break room, as weird as it was. While getting undressed a man with a towel wrapped around his waist walks into the room! Ok, he made a mistake. I quickly grab my robe to cover up. I then throw the black robe on....OMG! What's this white, crusty residue all over the sleeves??!!! Are you kidding me??? Gross!!! I then open one of the doors to go take a shower before my massage and BAMM, a totally naked man was walking around by the pool!! That's enough!! We left!! Man oh man I love to spa. Russian spa is a fantastic experience. However, there are a few things that need work. My mom gave me a daily deal for this spa. It used to be red rocks banya, and now its just banya spa after remodeling and new management. The certificate included self service and use of the spa for an hour. I went with my daughter. The receptionist each time I called was kind and professional, its clearly a new job to her, so shes learning the ropes. We checked in and she showed us to our changing room, and gave us a quick tour of the facility, although she did not really have a spiel that she says and I didn't quite get it. The changing room doubled as a massage room. It was weird bc there is a nook in the corner and a kitchen table with a bench. On the table was an empty russian tea pot on the table. There was no place to put your undies, clothes, or to lock up your stuff. Plus a kitchen table where you change? Blech. Theres a steam room, a sauna, a super hot banya sauna, heated bench, and a deep whirlpool thing that is actually a super cold plunge, and a super cold shower that comes out of a bucket. The spa is clean, updated, contemporary looking and visually pleasing. They tell you to wear your flip flops, and I swear I almost slipped and fell and broke my head 5 times. Its super slippery. Also, you have to wear a Russian wool hat, its awesome, but I am terrified of lice, so I don't like that. So after using the facility for 20 ish minutes, I realized I needed to get the oak leaf treatment. So we paid extra for the attendant, Igor. I wish we would have had him the entire time, he really made the experience. He brought us to the Russian banya room and he rubbed and massaged the branches on us and its great, it smells great, feels great; its like getting rubbed with a heavy rough towel. You get sooo hot, but it feels great. Thats when you do the cold water plunge. Its sooo cold, like Russian dude cold. But it feels amazing. Then Igor took us over to the super warm marble benches and beat is with these bamboo sticks. It was awesomely fantasmic. It feels like nothing else. Its fantastic. After that our time was up, we missed the honey mask, which is the Russian version of a sugar scrub, and I'm positive I missed something fantastic. Insert super sad face. Poop. Igor is a five star experience. He really made it great. Really great. Then the receptionist kicked us out, in the friendliest of ways, and we were on our way. I felt like we needed a room to decompress, and I was thinking the nook should be two easy chairs with a working tea pot. Even if there are no lockers, a basket to throw your stuff in with a shelf would be good. If banya added a spiel for the receptionist to say, relaxation room/ locker room, I am certain this would be a five star experience. Regardless I think I will be back. Igor is worth the trip. Plus, I really want the honey scrub. Im hoping are brand new, working out the kinks. read more

This is a cozy and inviting spa in the middle of a stark strip mall on the edge of Aurora. The young woman who runs the front desk was so accommodating and understanding after I rescheduled and rescheduled and rescheduled...Because this is a small place, an appointment is a must. They only have two spaces and you will have the space to yourself to relax and use the amenities as you please. If you merely go to soak and relax, you can use the dry sauna, steam, heated marble benches to rest on, cold pool, cold splash and regular showers. They also have massages and other services available, but I didn't schedule any of those. Here's my take on the space: the sauna was without a doubt the hottest sauna I've ever experienced. Too hot, really, but then again, maybe I'm a lightweight. For you die-hards, you may like the cold plunge pool, but I would have preferred the option to leisurely soak in a Jacuzzi/hot tub. Many people though enjoy the juxtaposition of hot to cold and I understand there are many health benefits associated with this practice. It's just not for me. I would definitely recommend Banya Spa for a couples retreat - book a massage together and rest and soak and steam to your heart's content! read more

We had a fantastic time at Banya Spa last Wednesday with a few friends. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who enjoys sauna/banya/steam room. Everything made of wood, just after renovation and looks and feels awesome! One of the biggest advantages of this place is that they don't split males and females like other places, so you can bring you wife, kids, your friends and have a great experience together! The pool with ice cold water that you can jump in right after banya is just perfect! Staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back to this place! This company is not online friendly. The Yelp $100 for $125 voucher was not accepted and they do not reply to online reservations. You must call them. The facility was only ok. Tiles falling off the bench in the steam room. Warm marble bench was unevenly warm so you have to find the good spots. Sauna had scattered leaves from an earlier branch service. Showers would run out of hot water. Wet sauna was broken down and not available during our visit. Generally unimpressed with the self-service side. Maybe their massages and treatments are much better. read more

I came here with my coworkers for our holiday work party:) it was so awesome! We all had an amazing and relaxing time! We received a full body scrub which felt so good and refreshing! I love the sauna here, its a true Russian style banya which I love! The massages were great! The manager was very accommodating and friendly! We had a private room and bought our own food and drinks which was so nice! We had fun and will definitely be back at Red rocks. read more

This was my very first time getting a massage and it couldn't have been better. My gf and I got the couple's package and it was way worth it. The place was extremely clean and everyone was super friendly. We got one on one attention the whole time and will be back. Also if you are lucky enough you get to meet CoCo the spa dog! This spa provides terrible service. I was roomed and met the massage therapist. She asked me if I would prefer her to avoid any areas and I asked her to avoid my glute area. She told me to undress and get on the table. I did this and waited for a very long time. A different massage therapist came in and didn't introduce herself. My preference was clearly not communicated because she didn't avoid that area at all. I was so uncomfortable. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. The sauna experience was great. However customer service was beyond terrible. We visit from out of state and were looking forward to going there. We've been there before and it was a good experience last time we visited. There was no hot water in the showers and we had to use a bucket to wash off the shampoo. We asked for some discount at the front desk. We were told in the very rude tone that no discount can be given. The girl called the owner and the owner said to give $10 off. We gave her some cash and she said she didn't have change. Very rude girl with no customer service skills whatsoever. Not coming back. read more

Don't judge a book by its cover. It's really clean, spacious, and nice inside compared to its facade and surroundings. Overall authentic banya experience. I also enjoy the complimentary tea and fruit. Definitely a great date option and great for larger parties. read more

DO NOT JUDGE THE PLACE BY THE FACADE!!! I frequent banyas in NYC monthly and realized when planning a trip to Denver that they had a place too. I always love a good stream and prefer them to a massage. I was initially skeptical that they were a private facility and you had to make a reservation. My experience with banya has always been pay for the day and add on extras (food, massage, venik, etc) as you go. This place was different. You paid by the hour for exclusive use and the rate became progressively better the longer you stayed. I think it was $35 the first hour per person, $45 for 2 hours, and $15 each additional hour. It was in your interest to make an afternoon of it which I suggest you do. Had I known more of the declining rates we would have reserved longer. I went with a friend who had never been to a banya before. While he may have lived in CO for a few years now he is a New Yorker through and through and was completely skeptical of my suggestion to relax and steam. The store front did nothing to dispel his hesitance as it may have been the worst physical advertisement I have ever seen. The mini-mall did nothing to help my cause although it did inspire a yearning for some groundnut stew from one of the Nigerian markets. I wasn't crossing that bridge though, I had a nay sayer on my hands who was eager to take flight. Once you walk in you are in a different, russian country cabin type world. you get the faint smell of cedar and the front desk is very accommodating and helpful. I saw on the website the saunas were a little cold for my taste and requested them to be hotter than "usual". When we checked in the man at the front desk confirmed my request for extra heat and gave us a tour which was quick and to the point. We were instructed to ask for anything we needed through a pair of Venetian blinds, otherwise we would be left to our own devices. We were given 2 towels a piece and a water...I would bring more water. The entire place was reserved for us complete with a steam room, sauna, cold plunge, cold shower, regular showers and a large room with a table and TV to relax at between rounds of sauna. I was really amazed at the quality, cleanliness and privacy. My only wish is that the steam room smelled of eucalyptus, but that is really, really splitting hairs. The cold plunge was cold but not incapacitating, and the sauna was kept to the temperature of our liking. The whole place was really top notch and clean. The privacy factor was close to guilding the Lilly. My friend and I don't see each other nearly enough and we had an opportunity to really relax, laugh, and catch up. If I lived anywhere near this place I would be an entrenched customer. While it is different from a Brooklyn/NYC style banya it is different yet similar in all the right ways. It's typical banya with great sauna/steam/cold with added personalization and privacy. If you are even considering going here, go. read more

I took my bf for Valentines day, because I wanted him to have a unique and relaxing experience. Banya is unlike any other spa experience. It is very intimate time and you are their only clients in the facility throughout the entire appointment. Be prepared for a true Russian spa experience where temperatures can reach a high of 120 degrees. From start to finish it was a very relaxing time and I think my bf enjoyed it. read more

NOT closed! As of August 2018 they are still up and running and the service is as great as ever :) They are are family owned business with only one employee at the moment (the owner). It can be difficult to get an appointment, but keep trying! Just keep calling (which I know is annoying) but she will definitely get back to you...it just might take several calls. The owner recently had a baby and is juggling other life issues and told me that another employee will be starting in September so hopefully it will be easier to make appointments. read more

I got a Groupon for me and my boyfriend to check out this place not knowing what to expect. I have to say, you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover! Their interior is very clean, new, with a nice relaxing cabin feel to it. The aroma throughout the whole place is amazing as well. The owner was so friendly as he guided us through the correct steps in doing the sauna and conversed with us about everything you needed to know about saunas. Took my mom here for mother's day treat. I booked for all they had to offer, the oak leaf beat down, the exfoliation scrub down, the honey mask rub down then the full body massage. They locked the whole place down for us and we were there for close to 4 hours - and now I am an invertebrate Jell-O. This was by far, the best spa experience I've ever had! While I wanted mom and I to get our massages at the same time, there was only one masseuse - we were in no hurry, so fine. Plus, to compensate for our wait time for the massage, we were offered the use of the sauna, steam room, cold bath plus separate hand & foot massages. The service was top-notch; they helped my mom in and out of different rooms everywhere to make sure she wouldn't slip or anything. The tea & little fruit tray was a welcome & refreshing surprise after the hot sauna. The leaf beat down was lovely - quite fragrant and stimulating to the skin. Exfoliation scrub was amazing! I chuckled to myself quite a bit after the honey mask treatment though... There I was, in the hot hot sauna room, glazed in honey... honey baked ham anyone? The message was out of this world - I had a long standing neck stiffness and it is now all but gone. We had an amazing day! read more
