I found parking around the corner and made it just in time for Taylor to give me a thorough rundown of my room and best practices. I didn't know what to expect but felt calm instantly. I did two rounds of sauna, shower, and cold plunge. There's a timer and TV you can use, with a hair dryer and curling iron available in the main hallway. It's a little far for me to have a regular membership until the Tennyson location opens up, but I'll definitely use this as a little treat to myself once in awhile!

It still looked perfect three weeks later, even after four days at the beach with sunscreen, sand, and everything else. Considering how much you'll be sweating in the sauna, the least they can do to enhance the experience is giving you water. Good thing we brought water with us so we wouldn't dried out!

With privacy in mind and a state of serenity (the lighting in the suite puts you in the mood!), the sessions can be enjoyed alone (great for solitude) or like us, get a suite with the tandem door open, we squeezed in a much needed gossip session while sweating away! The cooling, essential oil doused COLD towel (used at the end but given to you at the beginning) is the ultimate enjoyment! DON'T FORGET YOUR WATER. Or buy one from the studio, you want to stay hydrated. We booked a 40 minute session, going against the advice that 30 minutes are perfect for beginners - we had to call it quits at around 35, lol. We were started off at 140F. The pods remind me of wood fire pizza burners, haha. They can slide up and down and are lined with tons of towels, very hygienic. And I had no safety worries as all staff was wearing masks the entire time. Plus with the high temp I'd think all virus would be diminished. We started sweating buckets around 10 minutes in. It is beyond the most extreme cardio sesh you can think of. My friend said at the end that I was glowing, so I guess the detoxing worked! One advice would be to bring layers to change into in case you get so hot out of the session but it's cold outside of the studio. CYL has a lot of cute merchandise too and various packages and memberships, come check it out!

love love love…read more Reset is an all encompassing space: compression, sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, red light, and a few other fun lil things for any time in between. Went for leg compression first. I reclined and chatted with my friends. This 15 min flew by and felt so good on my sore muscles. Sauna was nice and dry which gave the perfect amount of sweat without feeling sticky. Quick rinse and it was game time. If I'm being honest, the cold tub was torturous. I went from gasping for air to calm to the most violent shivering on earth. Then into the hot tub where my skin felt like it was on fire. Then back to violence. Was it horrifying? Yes. Would I do it again? Yes. I closed it off with red light therapy and left this place absolutely buzzing. Whatever happened in that 37 degree death trap resulted in some sort of high that I can't explain. I feel like I could run through a wall. I found this place via Tim at a wellness event and he is awesome to chat with. The employee on site, KB, is an absolute gem. She walked us through every step so thoroughly and cheered us on through all the shivers. I will definitely be incorporating this into my routine.
