Decided to stay at the red roof because I generally stay at red roof inns because they're affordable and they take my pet. Unfortunately I should have checked this location out further. The rates were extremely high for a red roof and I feel I was ripped off. I could a got a much better deal on the Internet which I could've done in my car but I didn't think about it because it was dark and pouring rain. Got to the room there were several issues regarding cleanliness and a sink faucet that was extremely difficult to turn on. Will not be back. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I reserved 2 rooms Sept 5, 2026 and we ended up sleeping in our cars in the parking lot. The rooms were infested with roaches, one had bed bugs, and some haven't been cleaned at 11pm due to staff quitting. The front desk clerk tried her best to accommodate me even though she was overwhelmed with complaints and not feeling well. So many guest were leaving, asking for a refund. I normally don't leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn others and hopefully get the attention of management. When I arrived, the room was missing several basic things. There was no phone, no key, and no TV remote, which immediately made it difficult to even contact the front desk. Unfortunately the problems only got worse. The room itself was extremely dirty. The floor was sticky, the walls were stained and damaged, and the bedding had cigarette burn marks. This was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but it clearly had been smoked in recently. Even more concerning, I saw cockroaches in the room, which is unacceptable at any price point. Other issues included: * No Wi-Fi code available (staff said they didn't know it) * The front desk phone just rang endlessly when trying to call * The toilet was loose/shaking like it wasn't secured properly * Overall cleanliness was extremely poor Because of the condition of the room, I didn't even feel comfortable trying the shower. What makes this even more frustrating is that management initially offered a few thousand points for the trouble, but after that there has been no follow-through or resolution. I'm attaching photos so management and future guests can see exactly what the conditions were like. if I could leave a zero I would. I left a review on Google. For all travelers who did not see it do not stay at the inn. My room was invested with bugs. I received multiple bites on my whole body. Roaches in the room. I was told I was not entitled to a refund due to not accepting another room. Our first surprise was the Superior King room we reserved AND PAID FOR ONLINE, was unavailable, the girl at the desk put us into room 112. Room 112 has 2 Queen beds. We were let in by the front desk person, because this room has a non working electronic lock. That meant we could not both go anywhere to eat dinner. Anytime we went out, we would have to leave the door open so we could get back into the room. There was no smoke detector in the room, we did look for it and it was inside a drawer with the battery removed. The telephone did not work, it was plugged into the wall. This does not seem safe or legal to rent a room without operational smoke detectors. While the TV remote control had batteries, there was no cover for the battery compartment. The microwave oven was dirty and has a hole in the front window. We did not use microwave. The floor appeared to have water damage as some of the wood floor was buckled and lifted. There was a black substance in the cracks of the floor, possible mold, but did not take a sample for testing. The toilet was dirty, appeared to have iron stains in the bowl. The tank or something in bathroom was leaking water onto the floor near the commode. The refrigerator compressor made a moaning sound ALL NIGHT, which made it difficult to sleep. The biggest surprise was when we attempted to shower the following morning. At first brown water came out of the spigot, that cleared up but we were unable to adjust the temperature so the only water to shower with was COLD! No adjustment of the knob was possible. I'm going to call the county health department, there is NO WAY THIS PLACE HAS AN OCCUPANCY PERMIT!!! NO NEED FOR THE MANAGER??? My stay at this Red Roof Inn was unacceptable. I'm taking the time to share my experience across platforms so others don't make the same mistake I did staying here. I strongly recommend finding another motel and not wasting your money here. When I first arrived, the room seemed okay. However, the next morning I woke up and discovered the shower didn't even work. A working shower is a basic amenity that should be a given in any hotel. The refrigerator in the room was also leaking and ruined the food I had stored inside. When I opened it, I even found a roach inside the fridge, which was extremely unsanitary. You can see in the photos that the fridge wouldn't even close properly. There was no TV remote, so the television couldn't be used, and the key card for my room didn't work properly. I had to rely on office staff to let me back into my room. Before I left, the woman at the front desk told me the manager would call me about a refund and even asked for my Cash App. I never received a call or any refund. When I called the corporate 800 number, they were no help and told me it was the hotel's responsibility and they would not issue a refund. I would add the video of the shower not working, but Google/yelp only allows photos. After this experience, I guess I'll have to test the shower immediately when entering any motel or hotel. The hotel doesn't give keys or cards to get your room. The workers there are the only ones with access. The room did not have a heater or working shower. The bathroom was fifty. The room shouldn't have been rented. For 3 weeks, I have been trying to talk to management but I have been getting the runaround. The management doesn't care about the healthy concerns at the hotel. Worst hotel I've stayed at in my 7 years of traveling. - bathroom light didn't work - key card didn't work for the room. Manager had to let us in our room, and said if we had to leave we'd have to go to the front desk to get access again - unidentified liquid spill a foot wide near one of the beds upon arrival - towels are extremely small and scratchy like sand paper - breakfast consisted of various wheat/gluten highly processed products such as off brand fruit loops, waffle mix, and a nice (poisonous) silicone non-stick spray for the waffle maker And all that for 104$/might even though the place looked pretty empty. Place should be condemned as is extremely unsafe and should not be allowed to operate or charge for rooms in such unsafe conditions. Short list includes smoke detector in room removed and covered in plastic to prevent from detecting smoke, bathtub literally split in half on bottom and extremely rusted on jagged edges in middle of.shower and uneven floors with tripping hazards everywhere. Reception is the first impression of the hotel. Though the receptionist was polite she did not project professionalism. The room looked clean but it didn't feel clean. I itched during the night. In the morning there were two places on my body that looked like bites. There was hole in the wall. The towels are thin and small. The vending machine is disgusting and practically empty. The continental breakfast was underwhelming. Waffles, toaster but no bagels or bread, microwave but nothing to warm, no drinks. They had cereal. The one word that described the hotel on the door? The years haven't been kind- definitely safety concerns outside and in. Pools are filled in with grass- but if you're just looking to sleep, shower ( no curtain.. ‍) and bail.. good enough in a serious pinch only- room not cleaned- food in fridge from previous guest- outlets and lightbulbs not working- flies galore, bring a swatter. I have stayed at a lot of red roof inns since I travel with a dog. This by far is the biggest disappointment of a place. They are in the middle of the renovation which I get it - kind of messy. But at least put some more parking lot lights up. I took the dog for a walk at night and it was sketchy. It was clean and nothing was nasty from from a safety standpoint total disappoint. A dump with drug addicts and parties. I booked two double rooms for two days because i was traveling from out of town for a funeral. I should have asked for a refund the minute we entered our rooms. The bathrooms were in fair condition. Cigarette burns on the both tubs on both rooms. The furniture was modern in one room and dated and worn in the other. A couple was arguing the first night walking past our door for over an hour before security stepped in. The second night my neighbor was having party with loud music and drunk guests outside my door shouting. I had to kindly ask for them to party inside the room because I was exhausted and had a child with me. That was a waste of my time. Around 2:30 am another room had loud guests partying outside our rooms. We got 3 hours of sleep. We checked out a few mins ago because there was no point of staying. Its 4:00 am. Starting out, let me say, I am not a hotel snob. I frequently stay in 'economy' hotels, Red Roofs included. So I don't expect the Ritz when I check in. I reserved a room here a few weeks prior to a road trip with my daughter. The selling point for me was the location and the pool that was advertised on the hotel website. Throughout our long drive there, the pool was my go to promise for my child (Just a little while longer, and we'll go swimming!). Upon check in, I asked where the pool was located, and the agent said it was closed. I asked, for the evening? And she replied, it's not going to be open for quite a while. I took that to mean indefinitely. I call false advertising on the web site, as I would have absolutely picked another hotel based on that alone. Since I didn't want to lose my deposit, I accepted the room. It was absolutely gross. My daughter took off her shoes, and within minutes of walking around, the bottom of her feet were completely black. The tub was stained, paint was peeling, sockets didn't work, and the shower nozzle was broken so it was either scalding hot or none at all. The towels were old and smelled terribly. Had I not been so exhausted from the drive and lugging our belongings into the room, I would have asked to switch. To be frank, I didn't have high hopes that any other rooms would have been much better. Yes, it's cheap. But do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. read more

This hotel is decent for what you pay. I would stay here again. We didn't have a reservation and they accommodated us and our pet. The important things are: it has comfortable clean beds, No bugs, no vermin. The breakfast was coffee and a few bagels and juice, coffee is always appreciated. On our way to NC we were driving through a hurricane and decided to stop and get out of the storm and get some sleep. Big mistake. This place was gross. First room they put us in the ceiling in the bathroom was caving in and it was raining inside. The next room the toilet was filled with urine stains and the tub was filthy. Not impressed. The front desk staff was on the lazy side and pretty rude. Booked the room last minute so I wasn't expecting much, but after driving for 12 hours it would be nice to be treated with respect and hospitality upon my arrival. They also didn't give me the room I paid for online (didn't offer any compensation or even a free water). They said they were doing renovations. The room is pretty shabby but it is clean at least. There are holes all over the walls and messy wiring. I can also hear the ice machines rumbling from rooms away. I would suggest trying one of the other hotels that are right next door. Once we arrived 2.5 hours later (at 11:30pm and very tired from traveling from South Florida), we were told they had no rooms left. Very disappointed indeed. This hotel is not closed as of this writing, because my family and I stayed while passing through on our way home to Florida. I did not have as poor an experience as it appears others have, though this hotel is not overwhelmingly great either. Our room was clean and bug-free, which is the most important thing for me. The beds were decently comfortable. I did not like the lack of outlets in the room, especially near the bed. There wasn't a convenient place for me to charge my phone anywhere. Breakfast was served from 6-9AM and was decent (coffee, juice, bagels, waffles, etc.) I also did not have an issue with lazy/rude employees. My biggest issue was the pool not being open. We selected this hotel out of others in the area because it boasted a seasonal outdoor pool and after driving we thought that would be nice. The pool was closed, only half full and the water was green. Being that it is June, I would think that it would be appropriate for the pool to be open. Overall, I would suggest another hotel right off 95 over this one. There's a Quality Inn and Days Inn within walking distance from here - I'm sure they're better. read more

i don't know why the other visitors had such bad experiences. my wife and i stayed from 7-11-2018 until 7-25-2018 and were very pleased with the accommodations. the pool was closed for repairs. the owners had only been in possession for six weeks and were making every effort to improve the facilities. the manager, a man named zee was very friendly and accommodating. i was greeted almost every day with a handshake and an inquiry concerning our needs. the room we had was very good. the only problem that could be easily improved was the pillows. they were not as good as we would have liked. we stayed at the " impressive" bed and breakfast downtown for $200 a night and was very disappointed. for the price, the red roof is a very good place to spend the night or a couple of weeks in my case. baldwin franklin camen, ar read more
