It was my second time experiencing VR, but my first time visiting Escape VR. Similar to my first…read moreexperience, I enjoyed the selection of single player VR games. However, what really sold me were two things: (1) the customer service of the staff and (2) the arcade's strive for innovation and progression in enhancing the VR experience. The staff where very kind and accommodating, even with our large party of 7. They did their best to provide a wide range of games for us to play. In addition, after our time was up, my friends and I got to beta test their first multiplayer VR backpacks. Imagine being able to physically move around and play with your friends in an open space - awesome, right? This is a but a glimpse of what Escape VR at Oxford, MI can provide to the public. I'm only in Michigan for vacation this weekend, but this visit was the most memorable. As an engineer, I appreciate their innovation and profession in VR, and I hope the next time I visit MIchigan, I get to see how much this place has grown.

I did the Robot VR experience, which was incredibly immersive - the graphics we're so real, I forgot I was in the middle of the mall. They also have a Walking Dead style game but I was too chicken, maybe next time. I didn't feel nauseated or any sense of imbalance, their equipment and software is top-notch. Matt took some time to explain what makes their VR experience different and it really shows - it is, and I quote, "the Maserati of VR." I really want to go back to get a higher score and make it to round 13! I've got the VR bug!

Terribly overpriced (think airport pricing) and poorly made drinks. The staff was very young and inexperienced while the "manager" on shift that night was obviously exceptionally high (could tell from his smell and severely impaired motor skills). I don't care for these types of establishments in general (game based experience for adults) but this was so bad that I feel compelled to warn others to keep your distance.

There was a digital timer to keep track of our time. We also did the football bowling for 30 minutes. I was thankful no one else was playing along side us. It wasn't easy for me. My throwing arm needed a break... They offer different packages to purchase for play, but you can purchase separately as well. There is a bar. You can't take drinks past a certain space. I didn't indulge in the food or beverages. Maybe next time.

Went here for the first time and waited 15 minutes to start and then before training started I…read morerealized that my headset wasn't on or working. I asked for help and it took 30+ minutes plus moving to multiple spaces and just standing there they finally got the vr station working( so they thought). We payed for an hour and over half the time we were stuck playing in games without eachother, lagged so bad you couldn't even play, headset was still broken so I didn't get any type of sound effects or get the option to talk to the person I was playing with. Because it was broken the only option was to yell in a room full of kids that were already loud and screaming. And after all of the complications they didn't offer any free time to play or accommodation for making our experience much worse and longer than it should have been. Along with all of these issues the machine you stand in had also pinched my skin multiple times taking chunks of skin and causing bruising on my arms. Would highly recommend anything else.
