We went to 3 different spots. I wish we could have switched to try some sharks but I think they were waiting to max out on snappers and there were a few people not catching anything so we never did. Overall we had a super fun trip. We went back last weekend with my husband, son, and daughter. No one else had signed up for the 8hr trip so we got bumped to the 4hr. We were a little disappointed but I guess you can't control those types of things. Headed out about an hour. As soon as we dropped our lines me and my son's gf hooked bonnethead sharks! After that my hubby, and daughter caught one each. We hooked some bait fish and my hubby hooked a Mangrove Snapper. Only my son didn't catch anything. We all still really enjoyed ourselves! We can't wait to plan another trip! Both trips, all the guys were super nice and helpful. Sometimes you have to wait a bit if everyone's catching at the same time, but they try to get to you as fast as possible to unhook your fish and rehook your line if it snapped. You drive through in one direction with plenty of parking available throughout the park. It's wheelchair accessible and dog friendly, which I really appreciate. There's a boat launch with trailer parking and docks, fishing areas, a pirate ship playground with a splash pad, covered picnic tables, an observation deck, a basketball court, and a large covered pavilion with a kitchen and bathrooms. The city hosts events there, and it's also available for private rentals. I love stopping along the waterfront to watch the dolphins play and ships sail in and out of the port.

The boat can be over crowded causing lines to tangle. the boat does not go to any rigs -but they do go to wrecks and reefs. Advice, be sure to sit in the back of the boat on your way out to fish or else you will get drenched. Take pictures of your string and snapper numbers so there is no confusion. Take pics of your fish so there are no questions about if it is yours or not and watch for your your fish when you dock and they are being distributed.
