With such high rating, I decided to visit Red Hair Studio this weekend for my hair cut. I was very excited to visit a well know, high reputable business, but what a disappointment. As I entered the salon a lady sitting at the entrance asked how she could help. I proceeded by asking for a hair cut; immediately she said, "I don't have time", but let me ask this "Baboso" if he can cut it. Immediate I realized the camaraderie in this place is not good, and should have immediate walked away, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The person cutting my hair treated my head as if it was a puppet; My granddaughter treats her dolls better that he treated me. Any place giving customer service should keep their problems to themselves and not put them out there for customers. Its really bad customer service. The most horrible hair experience of my life. I went in to get my hair dyed in an ombré style, and I left almost five hours later with patchy, uneven color, and a literal line of color around my head. When I requested it be fixed, the stylist (Nuria) argued with me that there were no patches, and no line and I just had to style it correctly. When she did consent to fix it, it didn't look any better, but at that point I was about to be late to my grandmother's birthday dinner and had no choice but to leave. I asked for a refund, and was accused of trying to scam the stylist. From the beginning, she was a lot more focused on gossiping with her coworkers than making sure my hair turned out okay. From the way she speaks to them on the phone or to the way she treats other stylists clients. It's never okay to treat any client in the manner of which she does. My stylist's name is Julio and he is super nice, thoughtful, and VERY meticulous (he spends at least 35-45 mins to make everything perfect). His prices are very reasonable and he always does an AMAZING job on my hair. EXPLANATION: I've been looking for someone who can cut my super fine hair for a very long time. When I found him 3 years ago, he was a godsend. I also have a reseeding hairline which he does a FANTASTIC job of making it look fuller and more youthful. I can't be more happy. I've been coming to Red Hair Studio for a while now and I am absolutly pleased with the Salon. Nuria, my stylist and owner of the salon, is amazing at what she does. She has done what no other stylist has done for me and that is LISTEN to what i want. I have really long hair and i hate cutting it because everytime I have in the past (with other salons) they have cut it too short despite the fact that I have emphasised not to cut too much. However, this woman has done exactly what i have asked and it is no wonder I keep coming back. In fact I saw her today and was not dissapointed. I even reccommended my little sister- who has a punker type of hairstyle- and she too has become a loyal customer. Nuria has cut her hair everytime and has made it look great. As for the the prices, they are reasonable. For having really long hair-Kim Kardashian lenght- I have not been overcharged. I should point out that i have only had my hair cut there and I am yet to get it colored. But even then the price for getting highlights is reasonable. I really wish I could give this salon a higher rating. The stylist seem very friendly, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is simple and relaxed (not fancy and uptight ). The location is in a good area with plenty of parking. Just exactly what I was looking for in a salon but I have not had good experiences with the haircuts or color. I have given it three chances but I have not been convinced. This last cut was disappointing, some layers are super short on one side and longer on the other. Now I just have to wait for it to grow out and look for some where new to maintain my inverted bob at a reasonable price. read more

A friend of mine recommended I try a stylist she had gone to once who did a quick touch up, since I was looking to go blonde. I had a clear picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and showed the stylist several times, even asked him if he wanted it out so that he can look at it as he colors my hair; he said no that he already knew how to do it. I sat there for about 3-4 hours, only to have what appeared to be whitish/silver highlights all over my hair on top of my natural color, which is a darker brown. When the stylist was finished I looked at him and said this looks NOTHING like the picture I showed you let alone what I wanted. He then proceeded to tell me "it looks good, the darker base with light highlights adds contrast, watch, you'll see how many compliments you'll receive". Well since it was well past 9PM I was too tired to even argue. I went home and in the morning while at work I kept getting comments like "oh wow you got gray highlights, why?" or "oh no, that makes you look much older". I hated the way it looked and couldn't wait for the salon to open so that I can speak to the stylist JULIO. Well when I told him how dissatisfied I was he was very rude and tried to blame it on me saying, "so now you changed your mind". Very upset, the friend that referred him to me, and I went to the salon to discuss the issue. He still kept on arguing how it was not his fault, that the way he did it came out better than what I wanted. I kept asking for a refund and he declined, saying he spent too much time and his product on my hair; well I gave him a second chance to correct it. All he did was color my base, still in the medium browns (dark) and added toner to the highlights making it look more golden rather than white. I will say it looked somewhat better, but still nothing like what I wanted and paid for. I'll end this by saying that as he finished my hair for the 2nd time he made the mistake of telling me "well now I know I can't experiment on you again". Like sir, do I pay you my hard earned money to be your hair model? Or do we as customers pay you to be satisfied with the work that we kindly ask you to do. Even if you didn't approve of what I wanted? I am paying you to do my hair the way I want it, not the way you think is better. TIP: If you are already set on what you want your hair to look like and don't want to argue with someone who thinks they know what's best for you, try another salon, or at least another stylist there. read more
