Shrimp & beef teriyaki with two included sides (fried rice & lo mein) ~ $9.50
    Narcis D.

Great teriyaki restaurant! The sauce is amazing, the beef is tender, and the shrimp is great. Both the fried rice and lo mein were also tasty. 4/5 because of portion size. Order chicken if you prefer more since they will give you smaller portions if ordering shrimp.

This used to be one of my favorite places, it was good and cheap. Now they have watered down the sauce and raised their prices like crazy.

On top of that, service was extremely fast and friendly for how busy it was, and the food was amazing!! Cant recommend the naruto appetizer enough if you're a cucumber fan! The blend of crunchy, sweet, and umami made for a refreshing treat. For a main, I got the arigato, golden island, and yummy rolls. Every single one was delicious and honestly some of the best sushi I've had in MD. If you're looking for a sober experience, would also recommend the smoothies (I got the passionfruit), they were cold and flavored well without tasting artificial. Can't say enough about this gem, and I'll definitely be back. If you're looking for a late night vibe, this is your place!

I ordered the Chirashi bowl with a side salad and miso soup. On third fork full of salad something poked me, to my horror it was a Nail clipping. I spoke to the server and she argued that it's not a Nail, and when I asked what it could be she said she doesn't know. She did not offer to replace my salad and insist that she doesn't know what that is vut def not a Nail clipping and instead just offered a 10% discount just for my food. I will never come back after that disgusting experience.

I got the tonkotsu which was good. It came with a lot of noodles and broth. I opted for the udon instead of the ramen, and thought it was a good alternative. My friend got the meatlover don which is their rice bowl which she thought was pretty average and nothing too special. I would come back here again if I'm craving udon/ramen!

Greeted with a smile and open seating, service was prompt. Presets at the table followed by water and pickled vegetables. Tonkotsu was a generous size and filled to the brim. Aroma oils swirl and folded in the broth, served with tender proteins it was a warm hug of nourish on a very chilly rainy night. Half of a soft boiled egg, wood ear mushrooms, nori, menma, bean sprouts, and spring onions all a delicious symphony in each bite. Generous indeed, kaedama easily for more. The takoyaki was served firm crisp outside and surely burn your tongue savory center. Goodness, mmhmm. Still hungry? This is connected to Kung fu Tea. I was too full to think... I'll have to check it out next time. Cold season is here and ramen is perfect at every slurp. Go get some! Parking is ample and access is up to code.

After a decade of loyal patronage, our love affair with Kyoto is officially over. This review is a…read morelong time coming. For a local spot charging a steep $80 for a two-person takeout order in 2026, the absolute bare minimum they could do is get the order right. There is a reason Kyoto no longer lists their prices online--they continue to hike them exponentially every year. But while the prices skyrocket, the service has completely tanked. They consistently screw up carry-out orders, even after reading them back to you over the phone. Our experience last Friday night was the final straw: *The Roll Mistake: They forgot our Spicy Girl Roll and charged us for a basic spicy tuna instead. When we asked them to fix it, it took 45 minutes and they tried to charge us full price for their error. They eventually knocked off a measly $8, but it absolutely should have been comped. *The Gyoza Mix-up: We got home to find the gyoza we specifically ordered steamed was fried. *Zero Management: When I called to complain, the high schooler on the phone informed me that no manager was even on duty--on a busy Friday night. If you're going to charge premium prices, you need to deliver accurate service. Kyoto has completely lost its way, and they have lost a decade-long customer. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects your patronage.
