(business idea: why are there not shirts for sale that say: "I got TANKED at The Hollow?!" The beer selection is a big more diverse than Sheddy's, and the food options look a bit more involved as well. Other than that, it's a typical midwest bar: loud, friendly, open as late as people are willing to stay. We were here to celebrate the life of my Dad, who recently passed. The decor is old school Wisconsin old time bar with lots of taxidermy on the walls. Saturday is prime rib night with a queen dinner for $24.95 with choice of potato and soup or salad. Soup was baked French onion and since I'm a sucker it I ordered it with frys as my potato. Service was lacking because they forgot about my soup until I asked is my soup still baking this long, it was all teenage girls working room. My backed French onion soup looked pathetic and not even baked. The soup was bland and super average. The frys were awesome because the were hot out of the fryer with a crispy shell and soft center. The prime rib looked really good served rare as can be. The prime rib was juicy melt in your mouth with a garlic finish from the rub. Overall it was good dinner but they need to step their sides game to match to match the great prime rib like a fresh vegetable option or more potato choices like mashes or twice baked. And last they have no dessert options at all.

Two of us the special of the day which was a cheese ravioli. They were able to accommodate a chicken allergy and make it with vegetable stock for me which was great. The sauce was delicious as was the shrimp on it. The chicken breast entree got good reviews from my SIL. Husband had the burger and he enjoyed it. He had the side salad with it and he did mention it could have been dressed a bit more. And then our DIL got the arancini as a meal and that is mentioned above. We finished off with crème brûlée. I would recommend making reservations as it was consistently busy. We opted for seats at the bar to avoid an hour wait. This place is tiny, so it would not be ideal for large groups. It would be difficult to accommodate someone who could not navigate stairs (there are both stairs to enter as well as a staircase for most of the dining space). Servers were friendly and helpful, the right amount of attentive. The food came out quickly. They offer light lunch, brunch, breakfast fare, with specials, and baked goods from Lola. A popular special is a homemade pop tart, which has rotating flavors (today was blueberry with lemon frosting). We opted for French Toast, pork belly, and the country skillet. Everything was delicious and portions were generous. All around a great find.
