Not an issue for most, but I thought someone was sleeping on the floor. Nope. Pull out bed, with some sad blankets. They did provide for a comfy sleep, however. It would be nice to have a smart tv in line with current trends, since it's good to be able to watch my own shows and movies. The bathroom was fine, bathtub had pink streaks??? Shower maybe needed another door besides the curtain already there, I was very scared of getting water on the floor. The toilet paper was one ply. Hmm. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again. They did leave us macarons and a fun notepad, but it could be a bit better.

A pretty busy place with locals and people from other areas. There's about what's expected on the menu it seems. Before even coming in there's a smell of barbecue. It's got a pretty full menu. There's a bar in the middle surrounded by plenty of tables. Beers are the main thing of course. It's about $7 a pint. Best one we had of these was the Coldstream Lager. This is a full bodied Bavarian style. A lot of the food is meaty. Brisket and that kind of stuff. Among the appetizers is the Cowboy Caviar. One of the few vegetarian options. This is a mixture of beans, cilantro, corn, jalapeños, red onions, and tomatoes. It's about $16 for the Tex-Mex Bowl. This has avocado, cilantro rice, Cowboy Caviar, marinated cucumbers, pico de gallo, and Thai sauce. Of course an option is to get it with meats added. There's plenty more things including burgers and pork belly tacos among the livestock based foods. For around here it's one of the better places for big crowds. It's got beers and barbecue along with some healthier options. They're closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

I think that Dukes is more than just your typical local corner tap with a lot of potential for a good time and interesting conversations. We really enjoyed our time there!

They can probably seat around 50, if you include the seats at the bar. Our server came over right away, welcomed us and provided a menu that surprised me in that everything on it looked tempting. Honestly, since I was there for the fish, I only paid attention long enough to determine that this might be a place to bring the spousal unit next time. They had four choices for the fry - cod, catfish, blue gill and flounder (the last two are what we got). You get two sides and a roll with the dinner, one side with a basket. I had steak fries and hush puppies - both were just right. The flounder was good, but I'll give the cod a try next time. My friend's blue gill dinner was generous - looked like 5-6 pieces, while my basket had three good sized pieces (I ordered an extra side). Prices were very reasonable. The food came out fast, the music was low enough that we could hear each other without yelling, and the service was excellent. The place is huge with plenty of spaces for multiple, multiple groups to hang out. The inside is barn like with a high ceiling and cool exposed beams/wood work all over. The bar had a couple big screen TVs playing boxing and very out of place chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The sign says no public restrooms but the building next door has them and the winter time building because the great space has no heat. The bar has some taps with drink specials and most everyone was having domestic can beers for the most part. I had something my buddy ordered beer wise which I don't even know what it was but I liked it. I didn't see any food options and I thought at least get a pizza oven and serve pizzas to keep people from leaving and the $$ in the building.
