If you live in Lake California or Cottonwood especially - this is a great place to have work done…read more Teno, the owner is amazingly personable and kind and honest. He will go out of his way to give you a ride etc. I've had 3 different jobs done, and it has been A+ work and he backs up his work if any problems occur. EZ access for Lake California and Cottonwood general. 10 stars for this body shop.

Yes..but.....(the cell phone crackled.and I really didn't hear much after that other than an excited wife. .."parking lot" and .."the bumper is hanging off the car". Well the nearest body shop was Bill's, so I called and told them my wife would be there in 5 minutes. Would they please give her an estimate and duct tape the car together till I heard back from the other party and the insurance company, and could arrange for repairs. After getting a couple of photos and information, she limped into Bill's. She was treated like a queen. The owner Teno Lee was friendly, kind and honest. A group of locals were in the shop swapping tall tales and included her in the group while Teno went to work on an "estimate". She laughed and relaxed in a conversation that ranged from real estate to "exes". Teno said he was "done". Done with the estimate? No ...done with the repair...a few bolts had sheared off. Oh...how much do I owe you? The insurance Co or the other party will pay. No charge maam. Are you sure? Yes. Debi was overjoyed!! And came throught the door with a big smile. Happy wife. Happy Dan. Thanks Teno!! Now if the other party would just return my calls they would be happy as well :). P.s.- Teno and I have never done business before, and he had no idea I would write this Yelp. Debi has been pestering me since last night to get 'er done. :) This kind of service and honesty is what Yelp was created for !!

I'm at the end of a long and drawn out restoration of my 67 Mustang. Vintage Hot Rod is the third…read moreshop I've used and they brought my car across the finish line for me. I cannot recommend them highly enough. After four plus years at other shops I know a bit about the process. I'll spare you the ups and downs of the whole journey but there was a point where I had to pull the plug on the second shop with some tasks remaining. Vintage Hot Rod was able to pick up and finish their work and correct mistakes that had been made. This shop has several guys working on projects, so the collective expertise is there to make sure that problems can be solved. They finished installing trim pieces, fixed the other guys mistakes in wiring and got it running again. All in short order. And yes, they communicated well with me the entire time. A word to anyone thinking of getting into classic cars; it takes a lot of money and it takes a lot of time. More of both than you will ever anticipate. If you think you are going to get a car and fix it up for cheap...you won't. It's far better to get a car that's already finished. There are lots of unpleasant surprises when you start rehabbing a car. Vintage Hot Rod did not do my body work. Their estimate was too high for me. I went with a shop that had a little better deal but less collective experience. In retrospect, I think I should have gone with Vintage Hot Rod. It may have been less expensive in the long run as it would have been done right the first time. Hindsight...
