I am ambivalent about the whole dealership thing overall, but I am a repeat customer so they must be doing something right. I am not into salespeople at all and I don't want to buy anything that I don't want again because I'm a sensitive person and it's not a small purchase. Therefore I value my time and money enough now to make sure that I don't leave in somebody else's wants. So, out of all the dealerships I've ever worked with I prefer this one to most. I have to be honest though I don't want to ever have my vehicle serviced there. I am a female and I have worked on many different vehicles and other types of equipment with motors and electrical stuff, etc. I am a veteran, so I am not an inexperienced person when it comes to things like that (they cross train you in any and every way possible). But, I have yet to have my car serviced there without learning about some sort of repair work or rats might have eaten my battery cables or something! That is the kind of service I have been getting from them. It's incredibly insulting to even the most unknowledgeable person. I thought "Did you just call me an idiot?" Hi, My name is Matt Donohue. I purchased a Yukon from here about a year and a half ago. My family was growing and we realized we needed the XL so we went to trade it in only to find out the vehicle we bought was in a bad enough accident for it to almost be considered a severe accident. I reached out to the woman I purchased the vehicle from and found out she didn't work there anymore. Shortly after that I was contacted by Mark Paschen with the following message I received a text message from Misty Gilbert expressing a vehicle you purchased from us in 2022. I have attached a copy of a current autocheck, the vehicle history report. This is the reporting system Taylor Motors uses and all vehicle auctions use also. Honestly I felt like it showed indifference, like my issue didn't matter because the company they used said the car didn't have any accidents. I'm not in sales but I'd like to think that if there was something that was overlooked in a transaction I made with a customer I'd do what I could to make it right. I'd at least apologize for any inconvenience or mixups there may have been. I have 5 kids, 2 new borns, and when we asked for the carfax we asked because we wanted to make sure the vehicle we purchased was safe. I reached out to General Motors who wanted to help but Taylor motors wasn't cooperative with them either. I don't get it. How can someone sell a car that has an obvious accident history and not want to make it right? Am I wrong to think this isn't fair? A person goes to a restaurant and orders steak and gets pork gets a steak in place of the mistaken pork they got. I mean I've been in situations like this where they gave a free meal because they didn't want to disappoint the customers. If you purchased a vehicle from here I'd do your own background check on the vehicle before you purchase because this company doesn't stand on morals. If you leave under the impression your vehicle has a clean accident report only to find out it doesn't you'll be stuck with a car that's value is less than half of what you paid for it. I left my vehicle in the care of their body shop only to pick it up and realized I had been robbed while my jeep was in their care. My jacket, sunglasses and change purse I keep in my center console, very will hidden I might add, were stolen from my jeep. They either allowed their own employees to steal from my vehicle or they didn't lock it and allowed some Redding meth head to rob my vehicle while it sat in their parking lot. Bought a truck with 112.000 miles got new tires installed at tire shop and they suggested an alignment as old tires were wearing uneven. They couldn't align until repairs are made. The Les swab suggested I take truck to totally trucks as truck has aftermarket control arms Cognito is the brand. Les swab could not work on truck as it has aftermarket parts. 3000.00 estimate to make repairs to truck. So I drove this truck less then 30k miles and it now needs front end rebuilt. Tool truck to Taylor's Motors in Redding Ca were I bought truck and explained my issues. Sales manager explained they will not help me in any way. Mechanic told me I shouldn't drive on highway until repairs made. I told sales manager this, no highway Driving. He explained they are not responsible in any way and they won't even look at it unless I pay them. I just spent 100 bucks for diagnostic and. Now Taylor motors won't look at truck unless I pay. And if they find it needs 3k inn front end work they will not help me in any way. I've bought 10 new trucks thru the years and this is the Worst Experience I've ever had. I have a 2500HD I bought new in 2003. It only has roughly 165k, as it has not been driven very mu h and had been well taken care of over the years. I've been taking it to Taylor Motors for the past several smog certifications. Since new, it has had an issue with the check engine light coming on. Multiple mechanics, including Taylor Motors, over the years have indentifed there was nothing wrong with the truck. They do something to turn off the check engine light and this has been going on for over 20 years. As I mentioned, Taylor Motors smoged the truck the last several times and it had the check engine light on when I took the truck in. In the past the Taylor Motors mechanics/service people told me it had nothing to do with smog and it was fine to drive it. Today, I left it there for a smog after the service person retireved what he needed from the display (mileage, etc). Later I got a call and they told me they could not even look at the truck for smog because the check engine light was on. Then the Service Manager told me it would cost me an additional $200.00 to scan the codes to see what the codes identifed as the problem. Then and additonal $195.00 labor per hour plus parts. Well, I can almost guarrantee they had already scanned it because magically the ever present engine light was now off. I drove another REPUTABLE service center and guess what, it passed smog. read more

A review was left stating all facts about our situation and the owner commented on it stating our issue was acknowledged and they were looking into it. I was treated like family at Taylor Motors. Had an issue with brake dust and a slide lacking grease. Originally, I heard a slight clunking sound coming from the left rear tire area. The sound didn't happen all the time, and I wondered if it might be something in my trunk. I'd never been to the Taylor Motors service department before. I bought my used car there, and was completely satisfied when I did. However, a couple months later, the clunking issue came up. When the mechanic at Taylor Motors first listened for the sound, noting could be heard. Bob was determined to find the problem without me going home unsatisfied. They suggested I take everything out of my trunk, which I did. Bob and a mechanic rode with me around several blocks listening for the clunking. After a few stops, the clunking was heard. Once the sound was finally identified, the problem was taken care of. The dust was cleaned, slides were re-greased, as well as scuffing the brake pads. Even though I'd bought a warranty plan, I was told they didn't need to look at it because the car shouldn't have had an issue so close to the purchase date. So they took care of it. During the entire process, I felt like Bob and the team were dedicated to resolving the problem. The transaction was taken care of in a comfortable manner for me. The service department at Taylor Motors in Redding Ca replaced a transmission cable in our 2005 Buick. The mechanic had to go through the electrical panel under the dash and pulled or bump some wiring that caused the brake lights to stay on. By the time I noticed, the car battery was dead. My complaint is the service department's response to my new dilemma was to have it towed in and they would diagnose what was wrong and try to fix it if they could fit me in. I was told a charge of $190 would be required. Fortunately my sisters husband is a mechanical genius and diagnosed and fixed for the family rate of nothing. If I could give this place zero stars I would. My wife owns a 2015 model Cadillac VSport that has consistantly been having issues. It has 40,000 miles and is under factory bumper to bumper warranty. So we bring it in for service. Alerts for "traction control system need service went off." We bring it in, and they cannot find any codes. Therefore they cannot fix the car. Alert for "rear differential needs service". We bring in the car. We bring it in, and they cannot find any codes. Therefore they cannot fix the car. We took pictures of the alerts, yet still a magical fairy spreading its syphilis dust made the codes disappear. No big deal right? This car left her stranded in sanfransico and we had to get a 800 dollar tow truck bill. This was under normal driving conditions. We asked to have the key FOB batteries replaced and we were told we should replace the batteries on our own. Only after arguing with them were we able to get the batteries replaced. Just driving around today another alert went off..."Parking assist needs service". That's just driving around town. Should I bring in the car to be told "Sorry can't find the codes". My 1999 f250 truck stores codes in its computer system. I highly doubt that the issues this car is facing are unfixable or are unable to be found. They just choose not to honor the factory warranty because they cannot find the problem. Or worst yet, they cannot access the factory computer or do know know how to. Call me crazy but a 3 year old car that has just barely broken 40,000 miles on the odometer probably shouldn't be doing that. We have argued again and again with them. Showed them pictures of the alerts as they pop up on the instrument panel. Pretty much we are SOL. Customer service my ass. Do not buy a Cadillac, and certainly do not get your car serviced here. You would have better luck at autozone or orileys. read more

I got three estimates for repairs on my car. Taylor Motors' estimate was way below the other two. I should have just saved time and gone directly to them! My car looks brand new, and they not only washed the exterior, the inside was vacuumed and so clean, even the fingerprints were gone from the touch screen. The tires were also clean. I am very, very happy with the job, the amount of time the repairs took and the staff who kept me informed along the way. I hope I never need repairs again, but I will definitely go to Taylor Motors if I do. read more

We were in the market for a small suv and had looked around at a couple other dealerships in town. One had a gaggle of salespeople hanging outside the door, yet not one person asked if I needed help. This after I had been wandering around the lot peeking in car windows. I managed to snag a salesperson who unlocked one of the cars I was looking at. I told him I would have to have husband come down and take a look. He took my info, gave me his card, and I never heard from him again. Went to another dealership, a nice young man showed me a car, I was interested, and again said husband would have to take a look. Never heard from him again. Then, we remembered that the young lady who had sold me a van 5 yrs ago had defected over to Taylor Motors, so called over there to see if she was in fact employed there. She was, but was not in. I left my # and she called back the next morning. Misty Gilbert ended up selling us our dream SUV.....we weren't really, really ready to buy, but we couldn't pass up the deal we got. One of the things I like the most about Misty and Taylor Motors is we never felt pressured. We didn't feel like there was a competition or that we were "just" customers. Misty worked in tandem with her coworkers, specifically Jim....They truly work as a family You can feel the family atmosphere the minute you walk in. You are welcomed with warmth and a smile. My husband, a veteran, was rear ended over the weekend and our insurance sent us to this establishment for repair and car rental. They seemed ignorant to the appointment even though it was confirmed multiple times. Once they saw that my name was on the registration they refused to help him and insisted it was California law that I and only I deliver the vehicle. Spoke with my insurance company and no such law exists especially since my husband is on our policy. Not sure if their collision department were racist, ignorant or both. Regardless, he was treated extremely poor. We chose to go elsewhere. read more

Had my truck repaired after an accident in May of 2019. Can't --this process was as smooth as it gets. I am a very particular truck owner and I let them know that right from the start. Bob said he was particular also and my truck was going to be good as new. Taylor Motors Collision Center delivered! In only around 72 hours the front right quarter-panel was replaced and we had a custom wheel ordered which will be delivered next week. I received a phone call everyday from Bob updating me on my truck and they detailed the thing for me before I picked it up! I don't like leaving negative reviews. This place is a local business, and it employs a fair number of folks in our community. But, based on more than one experience, I have to say that the service department is lacking here, and I'm being generous. The service reps were abrasive to me, and I'm not an overly sensitive type. They were downright rude to my wife. We lost the key to our Buick, and Taylor quoted us a minimum of two hours of labor to find the key code. Another dealer told us that he could look it up on the computer, for less than half the cost. That seems the order of the day at Taylor Motors. If you take a low-mileage car there, and they tell you that your cataylic converter is shot, get a second opinion. Also, remind them that they're required to keep the old parts for your car. Didn't happen with us. Questionable repair quality, and abrasive service reps. But the receptionist was nice when she took our money. read more

I Would Not Recommend for Import Sports Car. I didn't know that I could take my vehicle anywhere after getting in an accident. I called Geico and they just took over and had my car delivered to Taylor Motor's collision center. I didn't mind. I was happy to have my car taken car of, period. What I didn't know was that I could take it anywhere and bill Geico, but Geico said TM was the only place in town that accepted Geico, so I didn't question it. They had my car for a while. It did have some decent damage done to the front driver side area where I slid into a wall in the rain. Initially they quoted me around $5k for the fixes. I figured this was normal'ish and what choice do I have anyhow. I had to find the wheel for them, and I also had to contact the coilover company for them to get replacements. This was surprising to me, but I won't hold it against them, but be prepared to help them find the parts for your car, even if Tein is a big name in the suspension game. Before replacing the coilover they let me know they were going to get it aligned to see if the coilover was damaged/ruined. Turns out it was ruined so they got a new one. This delayed me getting my car back. Once the coilover was installed they gave me my new quote. For fixing a coilover that cost ~$200 my quote jumped up $4k. It went from being $4-5k to 9k from a coilover, either that or they misquoted me from the start. Regardless, I could have done this job for half of that or even less than half. I told Geico they should try to recoup some money. Now for my primary complaints: I slid my car into the center divider at the 44 to i5 junction. It rode up the divider like 12-18" on the front driver side. When I got my car back, there was damage to the under-body fiberglass. It looks like someone may be inexperienced with driving a lowered car and hit a curb hard enough to damage the under-body. This is very unlikely to be caused by the wreck. There is a possibility the tow drivers did it, but I cannot be certain. The car is a special edition and it has blue/black racing seats. Well my seats now have 2 additional holes it never had before. I know for a fact I did not cause these holes. I get in and out of my car plenty enough to know when new damage occurs. I work on it almost daily, for certain weekly. I know my car more than most know their's. Before the wreck, I could turn around on my street. I have the largest size wheels you can get without any dragging or scraping. Prior to the wreck I NEVER scraped or dragged wheels on the inside or anywhere. After the wreck I now have trouble turning around on my street IF turning left. When I turn left too hard or at certain speeds the tire will drag on the back of the wheel well. I am not sure if they installed something improperly, or if there is structure damage causing this. I am hoping it is not the the latter. It does look like my sway bars and end links are bent or out of place. There is about an inch between the LCA and the end links on the passenger side. On the drivers side, they are nearly touching. I can fit a finger in between them on passenger side, but I can't fit much of anything on the drivers side. My assumption was that the sway bar is bent and they didn't replace it, but I am not sure and I need to take it to be inspected (elsewhere). I take my bumper off often. I have some upgrades behind the bumper I need to tinker with from time to time. Well when I got my car back they had used industrial strength GLUE on my bumper to get it back on and so it will stay on and in shape. This is unacceptable on so many levels to me. When I questioned them about this they asked why I need to take my bumper off. I was take a back a little. Why does it matter? Wth glues parts back on when they were made to be taken off? I ended up causing small dmg to my car just to get my bumper off. So remember, they billed me over $9k and couldn't replace a $300 bumper (Ya paint, etc is included, but still for 9k...). My hood was flush on the passenger side, but sticking up above the fender on the driver side. I don't know that they even noticed or not, but it was something I was surprised to see after the accident. It didn't look better post accident. My center cap on my wheel that took the brunt of the damage no longer fits snug. I assume it's a new wheel, and it should have come with a center cap. This may be a non-complaint because I don't know if it has anything to do with them or not, but it was something I noticed that happened after the accident. My fender that they replaced is not flush with the door/car. Geico doesn't want to help other than telling me to take it back to TM. I don't feel comfortable taking my car back considering the below information, and the previous info via this review. Since getting my car back I have replaced: Bumper (should have been replaced by TM) Sideview mirrors Hood (Should have been replaced or repaired by TM) I will be replacing my coilovers and wheels too. read more

We will just pretend for a moment that none of that matters, because it shouldn't. The bottom line is, you guys are greedy dickheads, and ain't no one got time for greedy dick heads. Now, WHEN, and I say WHEN because there is no way you guys will stay in business if you keep on doing what you're doing and I keep on letting everyone know what I really think about you guys... WHEN you guys apologize and stop putting profits over people and greed before generosity, THEN and ONLY THEN will I, or anyone else I ever talk to about cars, EVER even CONSIDER MAYBE buying a keychain from you guys. YOU are the reason Elon Musk and Tesla are changing the world. YOU are the reason I get up with a fire under my ass every single morning at 4:30am. The hopelessly lost, the ones that already gave up cuz they never amounted to what they wanted to so now they release their general displeasure on others. Well Mr. Unhappy Owner, I implore you to take one, make one, google one (call me for recommendations) and see exactly how the rest of your company feels about these two and this review. Part Four of 'How low can Taylor Motors go....'. Having no other recourse, I am stuck with this vehicle and life goes on. I will NOT bring my vehicle to them for service as I have heard that department is totally incompetent and untrustworthy and I'd never give them another penny. Anyway, the one fringe benefit of the worst car buying experience ever are free car washes as long as we own the car. I waited 5 months until I could make myself walk in that place but finally did. I asked JR Ball for the coupon and he tells me "You're not eligible and in fact you can leave the premises". (I have not ever even raised my voice there - leave the premises?!) Not eligible? Why? I ask. "Because you didn't give us a great review on the questionnaire GMC sent you." I pointed out that wasn't a requirement. He said well I pay for those out of my pocket and you aren't getting any. So I went and waited 20 minutes to speak with the manager who wasn't any friendlier but did produce the coupon. Providing me with yet another bad experience has worked. I have not been back for a 2nd ot unlimited car washes. It's worth $10 a week to not subject myself to their unpleasantness. One might say they won that round but they have to wake up and be those nasty people every day. Just another confirmation of just how unprofessional and greedy they are. If you have dealt with them and don't see it, you are probably being ripped off and clearly have never questioned anything. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from those people. Eventually they will burn too many people and will go out of business. Sooner than later I hope. read more

Amazing service, ask for John Beckwith, he was closed and walking to his car until we came up and asked him if he had the car we've been looking for months for, he said yes and sold us a car after closing and was happy with us about it the whole time even though he didn't get to go home until 10:00! Would be 0 stars if I could. My mom went to their customer service to get her car fixed, and it's been in 4 times with out them telling her what the problem is. Yesterday they called her saying that they lost her car and Simeon picked it up. They couldn't locate it or call her back for hours so she finally called the manager for it to be in the back. She will never be back here this is a JOKE. read more
