While having both tires changed, it was noted that the front brake pads were worn to within 25% of service life and not liking to procrastinate on maintenance for this bike, I asked if we could go ahead and change them immediately. They had the parts in stock and installed them. Their prices for the tires, brake pads and install were more competitive than any Honda dealers from Sacramento north to Medford. Unknowledgeable staff (told me my bike had an oil screen and I didn't have to touch it, it has an oil filter after looking for 30 sec.), fishy practices, selfish and money focused staff. Bought a brand new 2025 Kawasaki 110RL from here, and the same day I bought a handlebar kit for it. The salesman assured me it would fit so I didn't second guess it. It was the incorrect model and I did not realize until 1 week after installation, when the clutch cable it came with was too short. My clutch started burning up and my plates were shot. My electrical connections were very strained from the lack of extension. They almost didn't accept my return. 0/10 communication and problem solving abilities. Had to replace my clutch plates, cable, wasted 3 weeks of my riding time AFTER I just bought this bike on the same day. I would go to another dealer, and definitely won't let me family go here. All over a $230 part is hilarious. They offered no credit or help with clutch plates after they sold it. read more

My husband took his Ranger in for a service. He requested that it be gone through & checked for problems as he uses it to go into the woods far from cell service. He wanted to be sure it was in good condition. He told them that the vehicle was missing between 2200 & 2600 RPMs. When he got it back (we are 2 hours round trip from Lee's & had to deliver & pick it up) it was STILL missing (it was $1300 to have it "fixed" & gone-through)! My husband googled it & found out that that issue was caused by a problem with the intake manifold. Sure enough when he checked (took him less than 15 minutes to find it) it was broken and in plain sight. When he called Lee's they said "Sorry we missed that. "We'll get you one". The part finally came in & we went to pick it up. They tried to charge us $70+ for it!! We ordered one from Winnemucka NV for $63 & it was delivered to our house within 3 days. This is the second time we've hauled it to Lee's to get it serviced & gone through and a similar thing happened last time - it was a spark plug that wasn't changed that time. These guys are garbage. super unprofessional. They had my ATV for 2 months and never called me one time. The only communication we had was when I called and every time not one employee new what was going on. They put new parts on stuff that didn't need new parts and after all that I drove the ATV one time after getting it back and it still leaked gas. $1500 and they didn't even fix the issue I brought it in for. Avoid servicing any vehicle at this location. Take your business to Red Bluff 30 min away, it will be worth your trip. The workers inside the retail shop were kind and helpful. I brought in my 2015 Ranger XP for a recall on the close-off panel heat shield kit and and a regular servicing because it is still under warranty. I had problems from the start, they sent someone out to tow my UTV to their store, and the vehicle was damaged in the process, which wasn't a huge inconvenience since they were kind enough to fix the panel free of charge. I was also offered a delivery free of charge to make up for the slight inconvenience, but when I arrived to pick up my UTV, I was greeted by a different manager. His name is Tim, he wasn't very nice and quickly responded with "we don't do anything for free". Great, I understand where he is coming from, but he proceeded to treat the situation like it didn't concern him in any way. Also, telling his worker to "take care of it, I don't want to deal with this" directly in front of me. Also, when I asked them to show me all the parts they replaced, they were clueless. I only asked because not all the parts were on the invoice or resolution summary. I called 2 weeks in advance to let them know I was coming through town so they would have my UTV and Snow Plow ready for pick up. They didn't have a trailer big enough for both, so I was told by TIM that I had to pick up the plow and place it in the back of the truck myself. Since they were still charging me the delivery/service fee of 89.50 (even though I was promised it to be waived) I asked him to take care of it. Tim continued to tell me "if you want help, he would charge me another $100 for a helping hand" though he was not able to supply another worker. I was repeatedly told by multiple staff members that they were having issues with being under staffed because ONE person went on vacation. I don't think it would have made that much of a difference if STEVE didn't take a week vacation. When I called in to talk to the owner, Rena Lee, she continued to side with her workers and responded with,"I don't see what the problem is, your vehicle was serviced" . I asked when I should expect a call back regarding the delivery/service fee, because I have a busy schedule and she responded with "we all have things to do, and if you would like to know, I'm dealing with payroll right now" and that it directly effects me, the customer, because she's too busy to deal with the issue. I expected better service when paying over $700 to have my machine taken care of. In the end, Rena Lee called me back, and completely resolved the problem the next day. I'm greatly appreciative of this. Although, it was a struggle I'm happy to say that the only real problem I had here was with TIM being uncooperative and treating a paying customer like an under appreciated employee beneath him. Sorry, Tim, but you've completely ruined my experience at this location, and I will not service my vehicles here while you continue to work at Lee's . read more

Friends of mine trailered their bikes from the Portland area to Redding to go on a weekend ride over to the California coast. A member of our ride group pointed out that one of the bikes had both the tires mounted backwards. Oh no, here is Saturday afternoon and we're supposed to go riding. We pulled into Lee's Honda for help. Tim, the service manager greeted us. He confirmed what we had thought. Tires mounted backwards in my buddy's garage in Portland. Tim directed us to Steve to write up a service ticket. Steve was super friendly and within moments my friends KTM was on the lift. About an hour later the bike was ready to go! Superb service! I had just purchased a motorcycle and was riding it all the way from Idaho to San Francisco. The bike was starting feel hot and as paranoid as I am, I wanted to get it checked out. I was passing through Redding and looked up the closest shop and Lee's was it. I scooted on down and got the quickest, happiest and best service I could have hoped for. I rolled in, Tim, one of the service guys, immediately stopped what he was doing to see what I needed help with. I explained my situation and he gave a quick glance and said my back tire was pretty bald and that they could replace it right then and there. They gave me the best deal they could making sure I was happy with the amount and were very fast about changing the tire out so I could happily make my way to the next destination. Aside from just helping me with the tire, they guided me to the best roads to take back to SF. It was so freaking hot hot that I had to get off the I-5. They recommended Hwy 36 from Red Bluff to Fortuna which ended up being one of the most scenic and memorable routes so far. Made the journey home all the much better (and cooler!). Very experienced, knowledgeable and helpful folks there and I highly recommend getting service or any motorcycling help from the guys at Lee's! read more

Tire balancing - Before I had my own tire changer, I would take my wheels to Lee's, buy a tire from them, and have them mount and balance it. The last time I needed a front, I was somewhat shocked to see they had to add 8 wheel weights to balance it. Normally it's 1 or 2. The tires I use do not have a light-spot marker that is visible when the tire is mounted. It's just under the rim. This is something any tire tech should know to look for. Anyway, that tire wore out and it was time to replace it. When I dismounted the tire from the rim, what did I find? The light-spot marker was about 150 degrees away from the valve stem and also exactly where the tech had to mount 8 wheel weights. Bottom line - the tech didn't know what the hell he was doing. If he had lined up the light-spot marker with the valve stem, there's a good chance he only needed to use 1-2 weights. This is basic tire changing/balancing stuff. I just mounted my new tire and lined up the light-spot marker with the valve stem and I only needed 2 weights to balance it perfectly. I'm happy I now have my own tire changer and balancer so I don't have to rely on others. read more

I just took my Honda 2000 back to the place I bought it (lees honda Redding ca)to have it serviced because it turned off on me while running....I was informed that the spark plug was no good and it was replaced by the service tech...I was charged for 1 hour labor.... 89$ plus 3$ for the plug.....and it only took 5 days!!!! I feel like I just got robbed.... needless to say I won't be buying or servicing anything from these guys again!! read more

Took my 2002 Polaris in to replace 2 rear cracked outer rear boots and fix leaking carburetor. They told me they also need to replace the inner ones also because no extra charge except for the price of parts. I told them to do it. Call me a few days later with the estimate was $1049 dollars witch also included one front boot. Told them ok fix it. Got it home road to mail box and had a neighbor tow me home. Axle cam out of housing. Took it back and they did put in a complete new axle at no charge.Then they told they did not need to replace the inner boots. They replaced left front boot and now leaking oil on wheel. Looking for a place to get it fixed. Any one know who can fix a Polaris quad without it turning into a nightmare. Purchased a 04 Honda from them a 06 Honda then a 11 Polaris side by side. The service department is so terrible I now buy my Hondas and Polaris from other dealers. One of many examples I have is they replaced metal nuts and bolts (stock) in the fenders with cheap plastic clips. Take months to fix something not days. Plus they have no parts in stock ever. They called one time and said my pants are in and to come get them. I called back and said you have me confused with someone else I didnt order pants. They argued with me and said to please come get them. Problem is I have never had said pants and they happened to be 5 sizes to small. Anouther example is they they had my side by side for 6 weeks to do warranty work I also told them it was leaking antifreeze. When i picked it up they never touched the leak. Since it was under warranty I took it to Chico. I will not return to lees. read more

I bought a Honda CRF230M from Lee's about eight years ago, and rode it all the time. I also let other people ride it, and I think some of the dudes were, shall we say, rough on my little bike. I got on it summer before last and there was a shake in the front end so bad I couldn't go over 45mph. The guy at my friend's motorcycle shop put one new weight on the wheel (free of charge) but it did nothing to actually fix the issue (like "free" fixes sometimes do). I non op-ed it and it sat for over a year. This spring I got the notice to register or non op it again, and I decided I wanted my bike back. I took it in the back of a truck to Lee's, and the first thing they asked me when I called for my estimate was "has this bike been in an accident?" uh, not to my knowledge..... I balked at the cost of buying a new front wheel, so Steve said he'd see what he could do with the existing wheel. New tires and fork seals, a tune up, and an unbent rim and proper wheel balance later, I have my favorite little bike back and I've been having a blast scooting around on it. Worth the wait and the money to have a fun, dependable, and gas efficient ride. And, no, you can't borrow my bike. read more

Lee's is the only Honda dealer in town the town of Redding so that gives them a huge pool of dependent customers in Shasta County and the surrounding rural areas. I used to live near Redding and if you do too, visiting Lee's for Honda service is well..sort of unavoidable unless you want to take your Honda well into the next county for service...Red Bluff? In fact if things have not changed in the last 4 years or so, the next closest Honda dealership is near Yuba City, almost 100 mikes away. I dont want to over state how lacking their service or attitude (service dept only) but suffice it to say that I brought them the front wheel from my CB750 to have a tire mounted, which they did..backwards. When I got it home and went to install it I realized what they had done so I had to drive the 20+ miles back to Lees to have it fitted properly. The tech who fixed the problem asked me who installed it and when I pointed him out he said "Oh he isnt even qualified to mount tires yet, Im sorry for the trouble sir" Thats just one instance of several not so good times I had with Lees, I worked with folks who all had bad experiences with Lees as well. Maybe things have changed for the better recently, for the sake of the riders in Shasta County, I hope so. read more

Wish there was another option! Never been happy with any service here. If you want to buy a new bike, they are so friendly and helpful. Want anything else? Ha good luck getting decent service. They have us held hostage by being the only dealer for 100 miles. What is it with some dealers? Why do they have to be this way? Lack of competition had made them think they don't have to treat customers like...paying customers? and at least try to pretend like they want my business? ugg...this review is similar to my Team Power review. Are they owned by the same people or something? same deal there. It's like they know they're the only dealer and don't give a crap about the average joe walking in for parts or service. They need to make it where you can give a 0 star. I went to Lee's Honda-Kawasaki-Polaris with my 1994 Honda manga 750 for a simple sprocket and chain replacement. So i dropped off the bike and they called me a few hrs later saying that they couldn't do any work due to the "Final Driven" has been damaged due to chain that slipped off. So i went to the shop to see damage and go over what to do. After looking at damaged the "Final Driven" I said it just looks like threads need to be re died and new nuts. And they said no we need to replace the whole hub the o-rings the studs or we wont do the work so they gave me a quote for 400 in parts plus labor. Not only did they not mentioned that the whole hub doesn't need to be replaced they could of simply just replaced the studs and been 10.00 in parts. Based on what Ive seen about this shop the mechanics and great it just seems that management has there head up there A** and only is stuck in there ways. I am sad they couldn't of tried harder to come up with a solution. So I took it to there competitor "Johnny's Cycle & ATV" and "I went to Johnny's after going to "Lee's Honda-Kawasaki-Polaris" with my 1994 honda magna 750 for a simple sprocket and chain replacement. Poor customer service, even poorer knowledge of Hondas. Long story short, Lee's Honda is not the place to have your engine rebuilt. To begin, they mis-diagnosed what was wrong with my motor and it was only after persistence that I got them to actually inspect the real problem, the crankshaft. Lee's then ordered the wrong year parts for my TRX450R quad, twice. Despite how many times I've told them what year it is and the obvious ways of identifying it on the bike itself. My engine rebuild is now into month 2 and because of the wrong parts I was bumped behind water craft. Apparently water craft are their god and they refuse to work on my machine until all watercraft are finished. They assured me that my machine was being worked on, but I know these are lies because it's a 6 hour job according to them and it's been at least another week since my last conversation.
